I recently had this procedure done at my prior dentist and was not impressed and did not want it done again. She also told me I needed a laser treatment as well that is also not covered by my insurance. Before the hygienist started my cleaning, she tried selling me a water pic which I told her I wasn't interested. Then she told me that she would wait to do my cleaning so I could come back for the deep cleaning! I insisted that I was there for my cleaning and I want it done. She reluctantly did a quick cleaning. Then when I tried to schedule my six month cleaning, they REFUSED! She told me that is not how they do things and that once my insurance gave them an estimate, I would have to schedule the "recommended" procedure first. The dentist and hygienist both spend more time selling me products and services then they do working on my teeth. They have a nice new office with state of the art equipment. I'm sure this how they are paying for it!

With how long it was taking, I thought they put her under and never said anything - wouldn't surprise me. Take home paperwork for the procedure and the website has different instructions for how long to leave the gauze in mouth than what my mom was verbally told. Paperwork and website says 30-45 minutes, she was told 20 From what I've heard from my mom... the staff is sweet, but, these two incidents make me never want my mom, family or I to go here again.

I had a crown placed and the process is so much easier. It's all done same day as they make the crown there. No going back in two weeks. Due to Covid it had been two years since I'd been in. They got me scheduled for a cleaning right away as I also had a problem with a tooth I didn't want to wait on. I have huge dentist anxiety and when I say they catered to that, I'm not exaggerating. It doesn't cure my anxiety but I trust them to hear me. Also, I don't have dental insurance so they told me about their in house plan which will be a huge help for me. She took forever to put in a crown and it is three shades whiter than the rest of my teeth. It's embarrassing. We have used this dentist for at least five years and when we didn't have ins. We couldn't afford to go in for $300 cleanings. I had swollen gum and pain in my jaw on a crown that Jacobs insisted that I remove the gold crown and replace with a white one. The receptionist told me I needed to come in for a cleaning before he would see me. I was told this office isn't for emergencies. The next appt. Was months away. I said I can't wait that long and she told me well then you will have to see someone else! I have seen other reviews about the front desk and her rudeness. Dr Jacobs is either oblivious to this or else he is ok with patients being treated like garbage either way I am finding a new dentist!!

I called and scheduled a new patient cleaning after confirming they do take my insurance. I was not…read moretold that they don't do the cleaning the first appointment. My previous experience (Indiana dentist) led me to believe I was getting my teeth cleaned, as when they asked what the appointment was for I said to get my teeth cleaned and checked. I filled out paperwork before arriving, and also provided my insurance card upon check in. I got my X-rays, and then waited for the doc for about 20 minutes, after he looked me over I sat, 2 hours I wait for them to do a check for gingivitis that took 4 minutes and then send me up to the office manager, who THEN tells me they can't verify my insurance or tell me what the cost of the visit is. Two and a half hours after I checked in. Then wanted me to schedule with them not knowing if they take my insurance or cost of services. That is illegal since the no surprises act was passed. If my insurance couldn't be verified, I should have been presented with cost PRIOR to services being administered. I'm canceling my families appointments for next week. Now I will have to pay out of pocket at the next dentist bc they used my one a year that was covered. As someone who works in Medical Insurance billing I'm embarrassed at how the billing staff handled everything start to finish.
