My husband and I purchased a large four-poster bed years ago when we first moved in together on another continent. When we left, the movers literally cut it apart to get it out of the apartment. We put it back together ourselves, but with each subsequent move it got more damaged and less sturdy, till it literally fell apart one night. After that, it lived in the garage in pieces for half a decade, and we kept saying 'eventually' we'd find some magical unicorn of a woodworker who would be able to fix all the ugly screw holes and scratches and structural flaws it had... And finally after our last move we found Matt. He literally re-designed how the bed is put together in a way that makes it rock solid and, even better, easy to move in the future! He lovingly filled holes, sanded scratches, refinished the whole thing to a gorgeous new warm cherry color that highlights the grain. This bed is now absolutely an heirloom that will outlive us and breathtakingly lovely. His work is peerless. All that and he charged us such a ridiculously reasonable fee that we felt it was too low! In addition, waterlines were moved, existing vent line moved, and new lighting was installed. The project was discussed with us in great detail by Trey Green & his son, Colby Green. Everything was laid out in black and white. Colby did a fantastic job of designing the new kitchen as appliances were moved and a completely different look was portrayed. Colby made several changes on the drawings and really did a wonderful job of giving us the kitchen of our dreams. Each and every trade that was utilized was exceptional. The trades included, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical contractors as well as tile installers, cabinet installers, fabricators, painters, and demolition team. The cabinet selection was extensive and the suppliers of countertops and tile were very good. Prior to demolition, the entire kitchen area was enclosed in a protective barrier to keep dust and debris from going into adjoining rooms. The hardwood floors adjoining the kitchen area were covered with construction paper and tarps. We were well informed as to when each and every aspect of the remodel would take place. There were no surprises or hidden costs. Each and every item was outlined before the work began and all of our concerns were addressed. This is our third new home that we had built. Although this house was only 12 years old, we wanted something that was kitchen friendly and attractive. We have had several contractors perform work for us over the years but not one could compare to Triangle Cabinets & Renovations. This latest purchase (quite expensive) was OK on drapes and cornices - but the bedspread looks worse than something you would purchase from Wal-Mart. I think I should have been told prior to spending this amount of money that the bedspread could not be quilted - Walker's attempted to in-house quilt the bedspread and it doesn't fit the bed correctly plus it has puckers and tucks throughout the stitching. This was the smoothest experience we've ever had getting new countertops. Carolina Countertops…read moreupgraded our dark, 20-year-old kitchen countertops and island, backsplash, stovetop, sink and faucet, and they did our powder room countertop, sink and faucet installation. We even had a bit of a difficult kitchen because they had to remove old granite on a number of walls. We reached out to Carolina Countertops the first week of December with the long-shot aspiration of upgrading our kitchen before Christmas. Josh was quick to respond, and by that Friday he was consulting with us at our house. Even with a snowstorm that weekend, he was able to meet us at the showroom the following Tuesday to pick our stone. One week later, the countertops were completely installed! The plumber was out that same day, then the backsplash was installed the following two days. From the time we reached out to Carolina Countertops to the final installation, the whole process took fewer than three weeks. And again, there was a snowstorm in the middle :) On top of that, Josh was a complete joy to work with. He was consultative, actually listened to our requests, and he offered up good suggestions when we got stuck. We found Edgewood Cabinetry by doing a web search for local cabinet makers and master carpenters…read more We were looking for someone to create a custom bookcase for what will eventually form our dream library. Out of three different enterprises we contacted, Edgewood Cabinetry were the most professional and prompt in responding to our initial request. Mr. Rafferty was not only extremely cordial and professional, but he was very accommodating to all our questions and individual design considerations. He was also very sensitive to our proposed budget. He seemed to understand the design we had in mind immediately, and worked hard to provide a fitting design that was practical and affordable, yet still had the look that we were looking for. The final product is a beautiful wooden bookcase, "built-in" to the wall, made of stained maple, and embellished with custom decorative panels that looks exactly like we have always dreamt: an elegant, rich wood bookcase from one of those movie mansions! He even took care of little details like making sure the decorative top matched the crown-molding of the rest of the room in a seamless fashion. The final design is gorgeous, the quality of the craftsmanship is flawless, the project timeline was prompt, and the price fit perfectly within our budget. Our dream library come to life, designed and built at an affordable price! We could not be happier. We will definitely be calling on Edgewood Cabinetry for all our future carpentry projects -- including building out the rest of our dream library with more rich wood panelling and bookcases.
