Our server was sitting in the corner with her boyfriend the whole time hanging out with him and she would just get up occasionally and check on us. She had no personality. Greasy corn tortillas filled with cheese. Something like chicken nuggets (or were they tater tots?). Potato chips. Some kind of Mac and cheese thing. Not expecting restaurant grade food or a full meal here. But in New Orleans this would never fly. How about mini muffalottas, or other pickup sandwiches? Big soft Philly pretzels and mustard? Cups of red beans and rice or jambalaya? Chicken drumettes? Even mini pizzas would be better. Perhaps Shoalsfest went real cheap and wouldn't spring for a classier menu. For $750 a head they should do better. Seriously, I would have told the servers to turn their T shirts inside out rather than have your restaurant associated with this awful food.
