I used them to remove a stain from an expensive shirt and jumper but both items came back with more stains. When I asked about what the other marks are they just said we don't stain clothes and dismissed it. I then went across the road to another dry cleaner who managed to remove the original stain and also the new stains caused by this dry cleaner. Staff was very rude and not sure if they even know how to dry clean. I wouldn't let them clean my socks in future. read more

This is, for me, the best dry cleaner in the area. Yes, it is expensive. However, the results are worth the price. My wife and I have thrown all many of 'impossible' tasks the way of Spots (from ripped coats to impossible stains and everything in between) and the results have never disappointed. The staff are always friendly and personable and happy to talk through repair/stain removal options with you to make sure that you understand what the results will look like. I gave Spots a particularly difficult repair of a rip on my winter coat next to its pocket. Spots explained that the repair would not be invisible but would do the best they could. The results were far better than I could have expected and the coat once again wearable. On another occasion, I provided Spots with a jumper which (ridiculously) advised that it could not be dry cleaned or washed. Spots advised me on the pros/cons of having it hand washed or dry cleaned and, again, delivered a great result. read more

I've used this dry cleaners on a number of occasions over the past couple of years and have always been very pleased with the results. I've even taken in the odd "impossible to clean" item and asked them to do what they can with it, and it's come back spruced up really well. The staff always seem genuinely friendly and polite. read more

Appalling. Made a snag which led to a hole on the front panel of my silk wedding dress. Worse still, I was told it was already there. The manager replied to my email with caustic remarks, accusing me of 'panicking' and making things up. I only wish I saw these reviews first --3 people had similar problems, and all of them were accused of lying by the manager https://www.yell.com/biz/spots-dry-cleaners-ltd-london-470884/#reviews If anybody had similar problem - please get in touch with me. read more

For over 3 years I have been given my delicate garments to Spots Dry Cleaners in Islington and never had any complains. Though today I was hugly DISAPPOINTED!!! by the way I was "taking care of". If you woud like to get a hole in your expensive dress for £16.50 I would strongly recommend the place and on top of that the managment will tell you that they do not care about customers like you. I am very sad to find out that they care only about money... read more

Was a loyal customer here for about a year. Sadly, I recently had an important event to attend and requested that my shirts be laundered for a specific time. I showed up at that specific time and they weren't ready. The cashier accused me of lying and refused to accept they had made a mistake. No discount. I then requested them to deliver my laundry as I could not pick it up any time for weeks after when I had originally intended to. They said no and whilst I was on the phone I could hear the staff insulting me in the background. Will not use again and will try the American Dry Cleaners across the road. read more

Do not use this dry cleaner! We lived in the area (as do our family) and used to use this dry cleaner on a regular basis. It used to be an excellent family business. It has gone downhill fast. In May of this year, we took my wife's wedding dress in for a clean. Although the owner seemed charming and friendly to start with, he soon changed. He failed to get the dress clean. He promised us that he would call us to discuss the next steps. He didn't call for weeks, even though we kept trying to call him. Eventually, 3 months later(!!!), he answered the call, then when we questioned why he hadn't been in touch, he said that our concerns didn't warrant a response and hung up the phone! This used to be a really lovely family business but now and my family take our business elsewhere... read more

I took in a very much loved and expensive cashmere coat into the SE1 branch early last week, for a dry clean. The coat was returned with a red stain that looked like marker pen at the front. The assistant insinuated that I was responsible for the stain, which it was not! Even though she did not remember seeing it when I bought it in. She agreed to send it back for dry cleaning again, and I was given the benefit of the doubt. The coat was returned on Monday the stain had been removed! At no point was there an admission of their responsibility or even an apology. I was charged full price for the service. I will never darken there door again. read more

If money is no object, then I suppose this place is for you. But there are several dry cleaners in the area that are just as good, and much less expensive. Their debit/credit card machine was out of service for MONTHS, which I find ridiculous considering how much they charge for their cleaning. And on more than one occasion, I have found their staff to be rude. I won't be going back. read more

Appalling, disappointing and staff are so rude!! I have used this company in upper Street on two occasion in the two years first time they drained all the colour out of my beautiful green Mac and refuse to take responsibility for it, at the time i thought just maybe it could of been because its an old coat and this is why it has happed. Last week I took my monsoon very expensive coat to be dried cleaned. They did not have it ready when it should of been ready for collection I was OK about it I returned the next evening happy to have it back I trusted the staff enough not to check the coat before leaving as I walked to my house in Islington park Street I notice the belt was slipping down the coat and saw the buckle on the belt has been damaged I took it back immediately I was very stressed and disappointed. I showed a member of staff what had happen The woman said I could not prove Spot dry cleaners have Brocken it. I was amazed with her attitude I'm very upset, and now trying to find a solution. My parent have been using this dry cleaners for years, but not anymore we have had much better customer care and brilliant result with another dry cleaners opposite on upper Street. I give this shoddy dry cleaners no stars. :( cheap, and nasty not to apologise and to offer some compensation or even to try and get it fixed. Think twice before going there! Spots Dry Cleaners - Dry Cleaning Near Me - London, XGL

Took a shirt and dress with impossible stains from dye that had rubbed off my black leather bag. After seeing the look of desperation on my face, kindly made two attempts to remove any trace of what appeared to be a hopeless case. Needless to say, success! Will definitely try this place again. read more

I have used the Spots Dry Cleaners for several years for my delicate and expensive garments. I had a beautiful summer dress cleaned before winter and put it in a storage box. When wearing it in the summer for a wedding, I found that the dress was shorter than the undergarment, it shrunk after the dry cleaning (I did not notice this immediately after the dry clean). The label in the seam says F so I called the Spots and enquired about their mode of cleaning. They do not do the F cleaning at all, they explained, just the normal P (perc) on a gentle cycle. I think they should have told me this when they were accepting the dress for dry cleaning, I would have never left the dress with them. As some time passed since the dress was cleaned, there is nothing I can do but thank you very much - I certanly won't use Spots again. read more

I would strongly advise against using Spots Dry Cleaners. I left 3 expensive dresses with them for dry cleaning and all three were damaged. A two tone blue/cream dress was damaged by colour run. A red dress was returned with black marks all over the front and back and had clearly been cleaned with a dark dress. A white silk dress was returned with ripples in the material, which looked like steam damage. The customer service we received after highlighting the issues was appalling. The owner, Mr Eshref, claimed that the damage to the blue/cream dress was a manufacturer fault (the dress has been cleaned several times before by other dry cleaners with no colour run), the black colour run on the red dress was caused by me spilling a drink all over the front and back of myself, and the damage to the white silk dress was due to the dress apparently being too small for me. Mr Eshref refused to meet and discuss the matter with the items in front of us and stopped replying to emails. Even when collecting the dresses after Spots refused to help I was again called a liar. read more
