DON'T SERVICE YOUR CAR THERE!!!!!! I went there to service my car for oil change. The guy told me that he checked my brakes and that I urgently have to change them. I said ok. They took 1 hour and charged me $300+ for the job. Then I asked them to give me the parts that they changed (any serious business will show you the defective parts that have been changed) and they were very reluctant to do so. I insisted telling them that it is the law. When they brought the parts, it appeared that the brake pads they changed were barely used and the rotors were as good as new. TOTAL RIPOFF!!! read more

Had taken my car to get washed after a 2 week old new paint job. The mechanical wash scratched the heck out of it and management said it was becasue the paint didn't cure. Excuse me, no car wash should have done what this did. Four spots of paint chipped clear off my door plus a gauge on the rocker panel from the side brushes and the entire body looked like someone too fine steal wool and buffed it with it. The straps of material from over head marked up the entire car. I had to get if buffed out and the two panels that were damaged cost me 600$. Keep reading, you'll find the review of the NEW car that it did the same to so I doubt it was becasue it was 2 weeks old. Ps, I subsequently had hand washes since and no problem. Regardless, no car wash should do that damage. My car was rocking in there and the sound of the heavy straps hitting my car was unreal. My friend who was with me uses a similar wash elsewhere he said didn't feel or sound like that and told me to pull over after this happened. Ever since the hand car wash near my place turned into an automated one I've since stopped going and moved on to another automated one nearby. But then I started noticing that more swirls have begun to form which is specially noticeable on my black car. I've laid in despair many a nights thinking of how can I wash my car without the traditional soap and bucket with grit guard method. And then Yelp found me an answer: Spotless Sef-Serv in Hackensack. This car wash complex boasts a traditional car wash, a coin-operated car wash bay, and an automated touchless car wash system. For $9 I can have both my babies washed thoroughly without worrying about anything brushing up against the paints. The high pressure wash blasts away the dirt and the spotless rinse at the end rounds it out perfectly. The best part is there are no workers that will "hand dry" the car with disgusting towels that have dirt and other particles on it that will severely scratch and damage the paint. This is really a big part of why I love this place. After I do my wash and air dry I pull up to one of the spots to vacuum my car and more importantly dry it with my own supply of super plush microfiber towels. Then I do a nice coating of fresh wax to seal and be on my merry way. This place brings the convenience of an automated car wash but my own personal touch to both my cars. My boyfriend and I come here last night to clean his quad. He raced his quad in Georgia over the weekend and it was covered in Georgia clay which is a pain in the butt to get off. Being that Jersey is freezing rite now he wasn't about to stand in the cold and power-wash that bad boy so we went to Spotless Self-Serv. OPEN 24/7! He pulled into the self service bay and was able to fully clean his quad with ease. The water is heated also so that's a good thing to know. The self service provides everything you could possibly need for a carwash. I DO NOT recommend the touch-less automatic carwash. Drove my boyfriends truck thru there last night while he washed his quad and for $13 the rain could of done a better job. read more

First Info: Self wash is organized into 3 areas: 1) Vacuum, right before you go into wash. $1, 4 minutes 2) Wash bay, $3 for 4 minutes. There are other doodads you could put money in, but i didn't use them 3) Wipedown/Vac, parking spot past the wash bays. Lots of little things you can purchase to do more detailing. Second Rant: If you think you can just come in and wash your car without being hassled, think again. After spraying down my filthy car, i pulled out a towel to wipe off the dirt that couldn't be blasted off. This immediately summons a guy from the shop to rush me out, saying you can't wash your car when there are people waiting (in other words, you better be spraying only). I would understand if I actually took an excessively long time, but this was after 5 minutes in the wash bay and I barely got started. So I went ahead and put more money into the washer to continue wiping my car and the guy leaves me alone. It also doesn't help Spotless Self-Serv when some asshole in a pickup loudly groans "FINALLY!" after I leave the wash bay. What a douche, I'm never going to Hackensack again. read more

I've been here before but today I discovered why I'm in no rush to come back. Little did I know that I had arrived just before closing time. I was ushered into a bay and sensed that the service was being rushed. Where I'm normally offered different oil options, no such offer was forthcoming today. The service complete - in record time - I was asked for my credit card. When the technician returned with my itemized receipt, it noted several things that were marked as checked but were not. When I asked why none of these services had been performed, the response was, "well, we are closing." My response: then tell me that you can't service my car instead of doing a bad job. family has been going for years, but never again. i just got a new car and decided to get the $20/month for unlimited car washes. Bought it on 9/20/2020. Didn't come back for my second car wash until 9/27/2020 today. I get in line and they scan it. They tell me I came earlier in the morning and have to pay $9. Mind you I NEVER went since 9/20/2020. I say I never went this morning and they say well it says on the computer you came here this morning. I show him a receipt of my monthly car wash plan and he says "well you came here this morning" when I never did. He demands for my card and and this point I'm about to cry because I'm frustrated. I had no choice but to pay because I couldn't back up. I've never been more angry and frustrated because they're making me pay for something that I didn't do. Do NOT come here to get your oil changed!!! I left this location with my car rattling and the engine & 4Wheel light showed up on my dashboard. I went back to show them and they told me it has nothing to do with the maintenance they did and I need to go to a mechanic. Meanwhile none of these lights on my dashboard were there to begin with. They did not even have the decency to check the car for me and the manager wasn't any help either. She just told me it's "unfortunate luck" and I needed to go somewhere to get it checked. I come here after work at around 11:30pm. The place is nice and well lit and not that busy. The self serve bays are where it's at imo. Don't use the brush btw if you don't want random scratches showing up on your baby. I like to bring my own buckets and towels / detailing products so your mileage may vary. If you wash like I do, you only need the hi pressure rinse and spotless rinse which is great after your two bucket wash. The touchless is also 24 hours. I mainly use it for the under carriage wash for pesky winter salt and grime. read more

I like to insert a ten dollar bill in machine and enjoy a good 8 minute basher. just make sure you wash the brush with the high press. first. Bring your own microfiber towels and dry it yourself. This was my first time there,very clean and in an easily accessible location. I went in for an oil change and transmission fluid flush. great deals on both. with the coupons they offer online it was only $189. Compared to $400-$500 at dealers. That's not why i'm writing this review though. While they were performing the trans fluid flush, one of hose clamps to the radiator broke off. My car has 126,000 on it and they were very honest with me and apologized for the radiator and informed me that they would replace it for free. The reason for 5 stars is that MOST places in NJ or NY could have easily said that a car with that many miles on it was bound to need a new radiator or that the 'noticed" a leak in it but this was not the case. they were extremely helpful and the manager mike even gave me a ride to the doctors office so I wouldn't miss the appointment. I got my car washed here and I paid the most expensive price. It was super busy considering it's a holiday weekend. The wash and interior cleaning in my opinion is great! Also, they offer self service for those who doesn't have the tools to clean their car at their own houses. I was happy. I got home which isn't very far from the place and realized there's a freaking scratch on my car. It all made sense to me when I noticed one of the people cleaning took a quick glance at the scratch when he opened the back door and accidentally hit another opened car door right next to mine. He failed to mention what happened. My car is brand new or at least was. Somewhat my fault I guess for not checking it but still, very disappointing. So just for a tip, make sure you check every angle of your car before you leave. My black car now has white streaks on one of the back doors. Spotless quick lube changed my oil 3weeks ago and my oil pressure light came on and my check engine light came on. I was afraid to drive my car to Hackensack in that condition so I went to Doyle's very close to my house. They found that it had almost no oil and it leaked all over my engine. I may have a damaged engine in my car because spotless lube did not close the cap all the way. When I went back they refused to even look at my car and refused to take responsibility for their mistake. I will never go back there. They were rude and unhelpful. Look for another place to get your oil changed. Doyle's automotive in New Milford is great! They were so helpful and honest I could kick myself for not going there and they are much less expensive. I've been going here for years now because these guys are fast and dependable. Their pricing is better compared to a lot of their competitors ($20 cheaper than some places I've gone for a synthetic oil change). Here's the crazy part, there was one time when they made a mistake, which caused all my oil to leak out. I gave them a call to let them know I was heading back, which was not a problem, and they wanted to accommodate me so I wouldn't be stranded on the road, even though I was sure I could make it back. When I got there, I was blown away. They had a bay door waiting for me already, and inside I was greeted by an entire team of professionals ready to analyze and fix my problem. I expected one or two guys to look at my car, not a team of six! These guys were not playing around, and we're serious about fixing my problem without inconveniencing me. They had it figured out and fixed in about 10 minutes. I was back on the road in no time! Thanks fellas! read more

Went through the car wash to get rid of the salt from the recent snow. The man rushed us before we were able to read the options so we just went for the most expensive package, as the car was pretty bad. All I can say is there is still salt on the car, the tires are not clean and they used wet towels to dry my car. Will not be back to this car wash, no matter how bad the car may need it. read more

I recommend Spotless Quick Lube for oil changes. It may not be the cheapest place but I've never had a problem with their work. I always use the self service wash. I think it's good clean fun to wash my own ride. I only spend about $7 - 8 a pop. Just bring your own towels to dry it off. read more

However, when I got here, the only option is to go through the "normal" car wash... There aren't any self-service areas where you can wash your own car... This is the review of the self-serve car wash service. They offer different services but I have been using the section where you can wash the car yourself. It's exactly what is needed. Where I come from in Europe we have a ton of places like this, but it turns out here it is much harder to find a place where you have a full-scale car-washing machine that you can use and do whatever you want. For 5 dollars you have 6 minutes of time. There are different options like just water, soap, triple-color foam, conditioner, wax, clear coat etc. If you are looking for a quick self-made car wash and you don't trust the regular contact-way of washing the car, this is place for you. You can simply take your time and keep washing the car as long as you want. The place gets a little busy on the weekends, so plan to arrive before noon or late at night so you don't have a ton of cars behind you with drivers giving you bad looks because you are extra diligent with your own car :) The only thing I wish they changed is adding more stations. Now there are only 4, and as i said before, it gets a little crowded sometimes. read more

They wash the car, two guys came over to my car to dry it and their towels were wet to start with. They make you sit over by the self car wash to wait for the tire clean. Needless to say, my car got sprayed by the person cleaning his own car. I asked the guy if they could dry my car off again and all he could say was finished. They will never see me there again. I am alway suspicious of Auto mechanics I was cheated many times before. I shifted to Hackensack NJ recently and my car needed maintenance. This was my first time here. 1) I reached at 09:00 am on Saturday and parked my car in wrong way, I was told where to park my car and the person was very friendly. 2) I waited 10 min and was directed to come at maintenance area. 3) I was educated and asked what kind of oil I need, [previous mechanics always pressed me for Synthetic oil change telling my car brand] My car can take any oil only diff is if we choose regular oil then next oil change needed after 3000 miles or 3 months and if we choose synthetic oil then next oil change needed after 6000 miles or 6 month. 4) They performed all the checks and changed only Engine oil, Everything was was fast, they also educated me when should I change transmission oil, break oil etc, it's in my payment receipt. 5) I got $10 discount and I also got $10 touch-less car wash for free Note: I will recommend this place. This place was really cool considering I have never been to a self service car wash before. It was very satisfying washing waxing and scrubbing my own car clean without making a mess at my own house. It wasn't expensive however it was a pain to keep adding money so next time I'll just put in a 20 and let it ride. Came for a car wash asked for the works package and it only included an exterior wash!!! For 12$ when I asked if the interior will be done they say said no because they are backed up and if I wanted the interior done it would be a 25 minute wait... But I can use the self serve vacuum if i want.... That's ur "works" package ??? Yea making ur customer work! The automated, $10-$16 self serve touchless car wash almost removes dirt from the car, but not quite; I got out and could clearly see filth on the windshield where the wipers don't reach, and all over the car. I had to do a hand wash to get rid of it. For the price they charge, it's absurd. I have not tried the "traditional" car wash yet, I believe it is the same price. Last time I used the oil change place they "holed" my oil filter so I haven't been back. I am sure the self serve area is far better than the automated system. read more
