I have been with Spot On Heating and Air for about seven years now. Some years ago they redid all the duct work in the house that enabled my new air/heat system to work more efficiently. It made an immediate difference cooling the house, especially the upstairs and my monthly electric bill actually went down - a miracle! I signed up for their maintenance package years ago. For a reasonable monthly fee they come out twice a year to test your system, change the filter and check the state of the outside fan. It's good value for the money. Today Shawn Pace came out to check our system before the most brutal summer temps kick in. He has been here before and remembers us and our system (and our cats!). He is always professional and friendly and he even fixed an issue with the door to our HVAC unit not staying closed that has been "unfixable" for years. Unfortunately Spot On was not able to fix the problem. They quoted me $2,000 to fix a problem with my heater. Another HVAC company was able to fix it for $120. That's not an exaggeration either. I recently had a Moen smart shut off Valve installed per request from my insurance. I called around to get quotes. I was looking for professional work at an affordable price and most of all HONEST opinions. My front door neighbor recommended this company. Not only did they come the very next day and installed the new hardware to my main line they also walked me through on how to download the Moen app on my phone to track water usage. They walked me through on what to expect the next few days using this product. Over all the plumber was awesome. I had a problem with my plumbing where the hot water pressure was much lower compared to my cold. They were recommended by the community I live in so I decided the $65 service fee to come out and figure it out was fine. The person who came did their checks and really didn't come to any conclusion other than maybe we start with the tankless water heater and flush it. How much? $400ish. Pretty high cost for a flush. I felt like they knew what was going on, but wanted the money. I called someone else and they walked me through to check the filter of the tankless water heater. I pulled it out, gave it a swirl, and wow, it fixed my problem. Based off of my experience and feel, I wouldn't recommend them. read more

I signed up for the membership to have year-round maintenance for my AC and furnace. They take care of everything so you can have peace of mind. Price is very good too compared to other companies. Ask for the technician Albert Daniels. He's a Godsend. I hate it when people come out and try to sell you things and go on and on about crazy stuff. Albert doesn't do that. He is very polite and handles all your equipment with care. Before he starts, he goes through everything with you that he's going to do. Also he is very neat. He brings in bags and towels just in case there's any water that leaks. Love that. After he's done with the work, he cleans everything up and then sits down with you to go over everything. I like how he explains things very clearly and answers all of my questions. He's very down to earth and doesn't come off as condescending. They happened to find a same day appointment for me which was great. Antonio was a solid dude. On time (actually early) and very knowledgeable. He was able to bring my furnace back from the dead for the winter. He was very thorough in inspecting the unit with the inspection camera to check for corrosion/cracks in the unit, checked for gas leaks, CO leaks. I recently decided to take advantage of the $19.99 membership, which offers great maintenance diagnostics and quote discounts. Note: I gave them a 5 out of 5 - instead of 4- because I haven't had any work done on my home however I am a little worried at some of their pricing -I asked for quotes on various home improvement tasks, such as installing a shower cartridge, fixing an electrical panel, installing a new gas line, and replacing insulation. While I trust the quality of the service, I was taken aback when I was quoted $10,000 for blow-in insulation, especially when I had received quotes from other companies for the same material and conditions that were in the range of $2,000 to $3,000. - However, the quote I received for the electrical panel seemed very reasonable. -Ultimately, it's up to you to decide if the quote is worth it for you. read more

I've worked with spot on heating several times this year and I am impressed by the level customer service they provide and also the level of fairness they operate with especially when there are complicated situations with older units. Two things additionally that really stood out for me too was that they could actually schedule you pretty quick much quicker than others especially if you're part of their maintenance plan. Spot On Plumbing stole several pieces of my fine jewelry while they were working on a copper piping project at my mother's house in Whittier. The project was done on October 8-10, 2024. I gave them a couple of months to return my jewelry but they have not. Phillip Zuniga, owner of Spot On Plumbing ,said he asked his crew if they stole tmy jewelry and they said no. My mother (98 years of age) paid over $12,000.00 for the copper plumber project. The work on the piping was ok. We had to call them back for a drip in the shower head which they fixed. The toilet was not fixed as my mother didn't want them back at her house. She had to pay for a new toilet and instillation. I made a Whittier police report of my stolen jewelry and spoke with police about Spot On Plumbing. It is unfortunate that we cannot trust companies to feel secure about them and their work when you sign them on for a project and pay a large amount. When I told Mr. Zuniga about the stolen jewelry he immediately offered to replace it so I wouldn't file a report. I didn't want the jewelry replaced as it was very sentimental. Danny and his team were amazing from start to finish. I initially asked Danny for a quote on my AC unit not producing a lot of cold air. Upon inspection, he found a leak in the system. My AC broke down. To fix it I was quoted 11,000 k for repair! To replace the AC and Furnace was 19000k or 16000k with membership!! This also includes the cost of the crane for the roof. Please BEWARE of price gouging as was mentioned in a prior review. I saved 10k dollars by NOT using them! No other extra services that can come with a replacement of an AC unit will come anywhere close to what would be the savings of 10k! read more

Minus one star for not being able to identify the issue. Minus one star for the extremely high prices offered. Minus a third star for the over all experience. I sent a yelp message for a service call. I was told it was "free" since I sent a message, etc. I had to ask if that was true and the lady said "yes". Great start so far. There was a leak from my central AC. It started last week. Water would start dripping after 10 min. The tech showed up and I explained what the issue was. I said it could be clogged drain line, etc. He checked for 10-15 min. Couldn't figure out what it was. He also checked the refrigerant level and it was low at ~90 when it should have been at 120. Time to give an estimate. He left to his car and came back 10 min later. I had two options: 1. $9,500 plus repairs :-O 2. $3,500 plus repairs -.- Almost a set up for me to say "yes" to option number two which was going to cost ~ $4,000. And by the way, with option 1, I could have just bought a complete new AC for $15,000. I know it's hot and sometimes we get desperate, but some people don't fall for it. Be careful out there people! I called another person who came over. After 10-15 minutes, he confirmed the drain pan was moved and it was tilted which was causing water overflow. He was able to mount it correctly and leveled it. He also sealed the drain pan. it cost me at least $9,300 less SMH. read more

I called a referral to the owner the night before, and the next day the office called and sent a Tech ASAP in the morning. I had tried to install a new thermostat but the wiring was a bit off and I must have blew the 3A fuse in the unit, which I am not experienced in servicing. The company has a cool tracking system on their site or you can use the link from the text to see how close the tech is to your house. I noticed he was pulling up but then saw that he passed my house, thankfully had the tracking to guide him back. You can't miss the blue Spot on truck with the dog. Antonio was super friendly and explained everything in detail. My unit was just cleaned and he was very careful to put on booties, a rug under the ladder and to make sure he did not dirty the place before my tenants moved in. I did not have to ask him once to be clean, a lot of other techs who have visited my houses have to be reminded. Overall, he showed up on time and resolved my issue quickly while giving me updates of his progress. It did turn out to be a simple fix and I was appreciative that he took his time to explain everything to me. Additionally I purchased the maintenance plan as my AC had not been serviced in 2 years on both houses as they will send the tech out twice a year to service and clean up the system.
