Quality service at a reasonable Value! Nothing but good things to say about Sposato Landscaping and the crew

In August 2025 our new fence that was 3 weeks old was damaged by a Sposatos landscaping employee while mowing our lawn. We were told to get an estimate and Sposato would pay for the damage that they incurred. To date October 30, 2025 that has not been done. We followed up and are now told we have to pay for it ourselves and submit the bill to our HOA and then Sposato Landscaping will pay for it. My recommendation is NOT to hire Sposato for your landscaping needs. This is the second encounter that we have had a problem with them. In our previous home, they damaged our siding on our house and after months of following up with them they never fixed it. They are a company that does not follow up on their word and their employees don't seem to care when they do any damage because they don't report it to the homeowner when it happens. The WORST landscaping company! Landscaper dug their shovel into ground. cut my electric line that goes to garden light. Owner refuses to fix my garden light. Landscapers ruined all my rose bushes. chopped them to stubs. Currently have bald spots in lawn . owner is a no show. have asked for seed/sod replacement fir over one month. no repairs at all! so incredibly rude and disrespectful! read more

I rarely set aside time to write reviews but in this case I feel it's necessary. We've used Sposato for about 1.5 years in our home in Rehoboth. I will say they do very good work. Exceptional, actually. Which is a shame as their business practices are so shady. We had frequently questioned the amount of hours associated with our bill almost every time. The last appointment we were vigilant about watching the crew, their arrival and departure time. After all that we still got a bill that had so many added hours to it and the excuse we got was laughable. Actually, it wasn't laughable, it just just a lie. If you do plan to use them you will get great work, but be careful about their billing practices. read more

One star is too many. Put simply, the work doesn't get done right, if at all. Requests for follow ups fall on deaf ears. You don't get what you're promised and for which you have paid. read more

Saddle Ridge Dev: Sposato gets 5-stars for skirting responsibility to fix damage cased by their careless lawn and trim-cutters....aside from this, they are very much a 1-star, below adequate, lawn service. Their customer service sets this stage for them...liars and honestly, just crap-service! They will eventually get what they deserve as "crap service" eventually catches up with you! read more

What happened to Sposato? I've been using Sposato Irrigation ever since I moved to Delaware in 2006. They installed my irrigation system. I've used them every year since, both to turn on my irrigation and turn it off and an occasional repair. However, something happened to their customer service this year. I called this past spring to schedule to have my irrigation system turned on. They scheduled a date but never came out on that date. I called again and rescheduled. Never came out. Didn't call to cancel or change the date. I scheduled again and they finally came out to turn on my system. It wasn't turned on. I called and was told by the woman who answered the phone that it wouldn't turn on. I asked "Could you send someone out to find out why it wouldn't turn on?" She said she would send someone out. A service technician came out. Same thing, nothing. I called and was told "The system wouldn't turn on." I asked "Couldn't you find out WHY it won't turn on? You're the experts. That's why I'm calling you." Again, they send someone out and the SAME THING. I couldn't believe this level of service. I called again and explained that I would like to know WHY it won't turn on. Could she check with someone. She said she "I only answer the phone." I KNOW THAT. That's why I was asking her to ask someone else to check why my system wouldn't turn on. Finally after a month and a half of this incompetence and atrocious lack of customer service, I call the OTHER irrigation and lawn service company. Two service technicians came out THE SAME DAY I CALLED. They checked and told me the switch box was "blown", and the switch board had to be replaced. The owner also came out THE SAME DAY and checked. They replaced the switch box and now my irrigation system has been working. I called Sposato to cancel my contract with them. They didn't ask why this customer of fourteen years was cancelling their service. No followup phone call, nothing. What happened to Sposato? They used to be so dependable. I was reluctant to write this review but after seeing others who have had similar problems with the customer service of Sposato, I thought I should warn any future potential customers of Sposato. I am the president of a homeowners association in Rehoboth Beach. Esposito have failed us miserably in my opinion. On the landscaping front, there are several things that they should be doing per their contract, but which they are not. I met with a manager about a month ago and none of the items have since been taken care of. On the irrigation front, they've been the worst irrigation company we've ever worked with. Our system has not worked in over a month because they can't find time to come out and replace a few broken heads. We've called them dozens of times and they either don't answer the phone or they say they'll come out but don't actually show up. read more

I am giving this company 2 stars because of Exceptional service delivered by two of their service techs that physically treated my front lawn. Otherwise a big zero. They are the WORSE for returning calls. Leave message after message- no response. I received a invoice for services rendered. I had questions about the invoice. Called and hit prompt for billing. left message. No response. I called again the next day and asked operator to direct me to someone who could help. Back to billing, left message but several hrs. later a man from billing called. He wanted to hear NOTHING, kept interrupting. He was actually bringing up stuff not even on my invoice. Back and forth we went and he said: " I will have someone call you. No one ever did. Called next day and again asked operator to direct me to someone who could help. Guess what? Same man again. When he found out it was me again his attitude was terrible and again he would not listen and kept interrupting. I said:" I just wont pay anything and then I am sure someone will call and discuss my issues. His response: "Go ahead and I will have you in collections" GREAT CUTOMER SERVICE!!! When I pay good hard earned money for a project and have questions I only expect to be treated decently and not talked down to. I said I want to cancel all further treatments with Spasato. He said: "you cant cancel until you send me a letter in writing stating that". I really don't remember signing any contract stating that clause. SO DISAPPOINTED!! I entered Route 54 from a store parking lot and a blue truck quick came up behind me and tailgated me for about 1.5 miles even though I was going the speed limit. The truck was so close that all I could see is blue in the rearview mirror and if I slowed, I would probably be rear ended. I usually drive faster the the speed limit, but every time I wen faster, the truck would speed up and stay on my tail. We both turned right onto rte 113 and it was behind me until it entered the turning lane for a shopping center at which time he honked and flipped me off. I called the company and informed them and was interrogated. Did you get the License number? How many people in the truck? Exactly where di you enter the highway? What's the name of the store? etc. They never apologized and never called back as they said they would. If this is how they do business and treat customers and the public, I can only imagine their work quality and reliability. Not recommended! I would never use this company and recommend that you find a different company. I'm sure you can find better companies. read more

Pretty awful customer service and I wouldn't hire them but am beholden to them due to HOA management. Either they are terribly understaffed or terribly incompetent. Most of the time if I call and leave a voicemail and they don't respond. When I do get an answer, it is usually a polite secretary who basically says it has to be passed to management and you can't reach management except through them. I was supposed to have my irrigation system turned on over a week ago and even though they came to my house it doesn't look like it's been turned on or tested. Do not hire if you have a choice. read more

Contracted with them to remove a tree. Over the 4 months between the time I signed the contract and when I finally cancelled I called or emailed them at least 20 times. They never reached out ONCE to give me a day or update regarding this project. I finally cancelled and got someone else for half the price. Avoid at all costs. Sposato Landscaping has gone down hill. They cancelled on us to turn on our irrigation and never rescheduled. We had to hire another company. They cancelled our lawn mowing service, because they increased their rates and we were to acknowledge said increase. We never received any notice. We cancelled all our services and when I went to retrieve my house key, it was not in the lock box, where it's suppose to be. They can't find it. read more

BEWARE - NO VALUE - NO QUALITY SERVICE - NO CUSTOMER SERVICE I contracted a small job ($126.00) with Sposato to bury metal edging that had lifted out of the ground by winter weather. Disabled, it was a trip hazard for me. At 7:29 I woke to loud talking and laughing outside my bedroom window. Initially startled, I was surprised to see a Sposato crew of 4, 1 leaning on a shovel, standing next to each other talking for 21 minutes. At that point, my husband went outside to tell them to begin working, while I opened the window and yelled - just do your job. One crew member began digging while making excuses to my husband and no one was leaving the area. All of them were disrespectful and unprofessional. Now past 8:00, I called Liz to complain and to tell her that I needed to yell at her crew. Meanwhile the crew finished the job within minutes and left our house. Liz came to my house, I expected her to apologize for the disruption, but instead she accused me of calling the crew derogatory names. I was stunned, because her accusation were untrue. She offered no further explanation or apology. My experience with Liz over many years has formed my opinion that she has an unprofessional, condescending and borderline argumentative/defensive attitude whenever presented with a concern or customer complaint. So as a Sposato representative, we assume her work ethic and approach to customer service aligns with the business owners she represents. Within two weeks of that incident, Sposato completed work on a second contracted $1764.00 job for spring clean-up. During that job, (the onlyjob that was done in flowerbeds for the year) I watched, as Liz assisted her crew, by digging a portion of sea grass out of the ground and carrying it to the wheel barrel. Next I watched Liz and crew repair an irrigation drip line. Spring arrived so we turned on our irrigation system to find SEVENirrigation drip lines had been shovel cut. For Five months we attempted to call/talk or email photos of the damaged lines with Sposato. No response and a request for repair evolved into a reimbursement request. In the end, the Better Business Bureau (Sposato is not a member) was contacted. BBB in turn contacted Sposato in October 2020 about the situation and recommended a pay reimbursement remedy to customer. Sposato has a pattern of not responding, so a second request by BBB had to be sent to Sposato in January 2021 (3 months) in order for a response. Sposato denied the BBB recommendation. read more

Sposato landscaping is the worst landscaping company ever. In short, they skip weeks of lawnmowing, break irrigation covers without repairing them, and make invalid excuses for the poor quality of work. If you want your neighborhood to look terrible and to waste your money, and they are the group for you. Otherwise, stay away! read more

Before hiring or renewing your contract with Sposato landscaping; read all reviews and conduct your research. Speak to communities that have hired them in the past. Whether you are a homeowner or managing a community, it's important to know the facts. Extremely unprofessional, rude, disrespectful and treat homeowners with contempt. I've experienced Sposato in a few communities and this is what you can expect: Workers do everything but cut your grass. As soon as workers are out of sight of manager, they talk or text on their phone or take a break. So, if it is your building or home that he is supposed to be trimmed or cut, it doesn't get done. Workers are so reckless, they break whatever is in their path or on your porch: lanterns, statues (even of Mother Mary), decorative items. Every one of my neighbors has had items destroyed, no compensation. The night before, you must remove as much as you can, still they break your property. They find a house that looks vacant with a shade tree and pull up all the vehicles on the grass and eat lunch, leaving debris behind. There is plenty of shade on the property (a golf course), but they select a home. They now ride a grass cutter holding a blower to remove grass cuttings. They enjoy blowing all the debris up on your porch every week and love it when your garage door is Grass is cut unevenly. They use large equipment, so in smaller areas, it doesn't get cut at all or just part of the yard. Even when homeowner or property management presents Sposato management with photos, they are argumentative and always side with their men. When Sposato is in your community all day, where do you employees go to the bathroom? You got it. Disgusting! read more
