A month later she reconciled her checkbook/ bank statement and saw the payment amount had been changed to $550.50. We contacted Passwaters and spoke with Stacie, who insisted the check was negotiated for $55.50 and that was what had been credited to her account. A review of the check and subsequent conversation with Passwaters staff confirmed the check was altered by them, Stacie eventually admitted that. My grandmother has had to replace all her bank accounts and John Passwaters attempted to offer to pay back $450 to her along with services for the rest of the year. This is being turned over to the police and the Delaware Attorney General's office for follow up.
