I've dealt with this company in the past when Alex was handling their outdoor lighting and I was pleased. However, there's a different lighting sales person who was very unprofessional when he came to my home to give me a quote on some work I needed done. Afterwards, I even called their office and asked for the owner, John, to call me about my experience; my call has never been returned. I normally don't put a lot of faith in reviews. In summary, Passwaters Landscaping's agent arrived on July 29, 2025 to apply a lawn fertilizer and insect control treatment to my lawn. I have security cameras monitoring both my front and backyard areas, which captured the agent's application. He didn't apply the treatment to at least one exterior side and exterior rear of my white fencing of the backyard, which I brought to his attention before he left my property. I attempted to display the security video to him, but he refused to wait and left my premises. Because my security cameras cannot view the opposite fence line (left side) of my home, I took an educated guess that area was ALSO missed during the application. Before the agent left my property, I asked him twice for his name, because I intended to contact Passwaters Landscaping and complain about the issue. First, the agent argued that he did apply the treatment to my entire exterior fence line, although my security video CLEARLY showed otherwise. And secondly, he refused to identify himself to me after I had asked him twice for his name. I spoke to a Passwaters Landscaping manager about the issue to whom the agent's manager, but, she sided with her agent's statement. She asked that I email the security video to her, but I declined and invited her to meet with me to review it together, since we could discuss it and address any questions together - again she declined. Next, I mailed a certified letter on August 4, 2025, to the owner of Passwaters Landing, Mr. John Passwaters, asking him to review my complaint and to schedule another application for me for just those areas that were not treated. Although I asked him to reply with his decision before the end of August, as of today (Sep 1, 2025), I've not received any response from him. I lodged a formal complaint with the Delaware BBB about this and am waiting for a response. My recommendation is to not contract with Passwaters Landscaping for any of their services, especially lawn care. They don't appear trustworthy... If this site would allow me to give Passwaters' a zero star, I would have done so. read more

I would definitely avoid using this company. They placed irrigation heads on my neighbor's property and are refusing to remove them. I am filing a complaint with the BBB and the Delaware attorney general's office for assistance. if I could rate them with 0 stars I would. Be careful of this company! read more

Do not use Passwaters landscaping that now owns Allure outdoor lighting. I had two outdoor lights that weren't working so I called the company that installed our lights. We scheduled for Monday but he didn't show up so I emailed and was told he had an emergency and would come Tuesday. On Tuesday, two men came out to repair the lights. After 15 min or so I went out to check on their progress and they were gone. Thinking they needed supplies, I waited but they never came back. I emailed and called the company several times, no response. The same evening I noticed that NONE of my outdoor lights were working. I emailed and called several times both that evening and the next day with no response. I contacted another lighting specialist who was able to troubleshoot with me over the phone/email and fix their mistakes. read more

They are contracted for the community I live in and it's never a complete job, they mow some of it, trim some of it. In the week between Christmas and New Years, they cut the Crepe Myrtle trees back with everyone's holiday decorations on them, the community wasn't notified that it was going to happen. read more

I do not recommend this company. They were contracted by our HOA for landscaping to include a final fall cleanup prior to year end. They failed to perform/complete any of the fall cleanup (pruning, weeding, mulching, leaf cleanup etc) in our entire community. read more

i reluctantly write this review. However if I can save anyone from the same experience we had then it's worth the time hired them to do landscaping project. wrote out specs in excruciating detail and went through multiple corrections on the contract when it initially kept coming back inconsistent with our walkthrough. we did walkthroughs before work started with the salesmen and the site foreman separately -- in a nutshell: -told us not to put sharp edged border near driveway edge. then they did just that -paid for topsoil.they insisted they put it in but when we had them come out they admitted skipping it completely -they were do do a raised planting bed- they didn't bring topsoil so it was flat -the irrigation system controller was not what was agreed and they drilled sensor holes in side of our house that they should not have -we have doors on the sides of our house for storage. they pIke's rocks so high in front of them we couldn't get the doors open Ultimately we had to ask the owner to come out with the salesperson to review what needed to be fixed. even then several followup items were not done properly. nice people but not on top of their work, did not demonstrate any high standards. took call after call to get things sorted. finally hired another company to finish up and that company was fantastic. they are Titanium Landscaping. Owner of that firm has tons of accounts and we can see why he is growing so fast. everything was fine perfectly and in time we hope Passwaters realizes that poor customer experience will catch up to their bottom line but at this point they don't really seem to worry about it. that was our experience. we would not use them again read more

Passwater Landscaping holds the contract for common area maintenance & lawn mowing for a property I own in MILLVILLE, DE. When I needed a company to pull weeds in mulch beds around my townhome, our property management company recommended I contact them and request an individual estimate which I did. My initial impression wasn't great as I called three times until I got a return call at which time I was advised by Eileen this is not typical and she apologized so we moved forward. After several attempts to pin down an estimate date and a couple weeks time I finally received an estimate and was advised by Eileen to select the line items I wanted completed on estimate & reply to email then she would schedule the job immediately to make up for lost time. I did exactly that. The job was never scheduled or completed. I called two more times and left messages and then emailed and I was advised they never scheduled the job because I didn't print, sign, send back the estimate. I advised Eileen I did what she asked me to do, I've been waiting 5 weeks I'd like the job done and she agreed. Job scheduled for following day. Received a call from John Passwaters telling me I was removed from schedule because I did not print & sign estimate ($150 job). When I advised him this had been all worked out earlier in day with Eileen he stated that's he's the company owner & proceeded to chastise me after I've waited 5 weeks for a schedule date to simply pull weeds.
