I spent a long time looking at the workout clothes because that's what interests me a great deal. My husband decided to buy HOKA Bondi 9 shoes for work. Sadly, they didn't really work out for him and I came today to return them. The customer service is so friendly and fast. And when we bought stuff a few days ago we had to we were helped quickly. I was in the store about 30 minutes this morning and nobody came up to ask me if I needed any help or if I had any questions. Been interested in getting some pants for my husband, but I just didn't see what I wanted on the display. The store was clean and I'd be willing to go back again. They have disc golf supplies and discs and that's pretty cool.

Not only was it cheaper at Big 5 but they were helpful and I was happy to support a local in-person business rather than Amazon or another online retailer. I think I got a better quality item at Big 5 for approximately 60% of what it cost through Amazon so I was very pleased! Not only did they have sporting goods stuff but also shoes, slippers, clothing, pool toys, and even some little plushie toys. I've become too accustomed to ordering stuff online but this was a nice reminder of the importance and convenience of having local brick & mortar stores too!

This is going to sound like an advertisement, but, here we go…read more.. The first Fleet Feet store opened its doors in 1976 in Sacramento, California, so they have been around for quite a while. As I understand it, there are corporate Fleet Feet stores, but the Fleet Feet Tucson locations are locally-owned and as a result are very community focused. Consider them your local specialty running, walking, and fitness store with a mission beyond just selling shoes. What does that mean? Being owned by a member of the local running community means that the shop is more "connected" than your usual shops. (I noticed this is more common in Tucson than anywhere else I have lived.) Customers and local runners know the store as a hub for community gatherings and group runs that create connections among local athletes and newcomers alike. I no longer live in Tucson, but I still participate in some of the race events that they sponsor -- and have done so for over 10 years. Living near Phoenix means that I have quite a trek now, so even though I still receive the emails, joining the group runs is not something that I can do. If you need snacks, shoes or other race gear, stop by and check out what they have -- support them and buy local instead of online! :)

Took my rear wheel in to get the hub body changed out out of personal perference for a nice…read morefreewheel and more engagement. Dropped it off on a Friday during my lunch with the freehub of my choice and was told they would need to measure spokes and would go from there as far as how long it would take to finish. Called the following Thursday to see how it was going as I haven't been riding because I don't have a spare wheel and they hadn't even looked at it. Almost a full week... the following day they looked at it and had to order spokes which is fine but knowing it took almost a whole week to look at the wheel just to find out it'll take a few more days for spokes to come in sucked. (Meanwhile i have still been without a wheel this entire time and have been riding indoors but that's very different then being on the bike you want to ride!) it's now been two weeks since I initially dropped it off and still have not gotten a call about it being done. I had to go and call them once again to check on it, spokes came in the following Wednesday, called the next day and was told it's not done yet but I'll get a call when it is. It's now Friday evening two days after the spokes arrive and nothing... point being if you are interested in upgrading your bike and love having things done in a timely manner don't come here. They did however lend me a wheel to use in the meantime which is deserving of an extra star.. otherwise barely a 1 star. My main issues... 1- took almost a whole week to even look at the wheel I dropped off. (Just a wheel to measure spokes) 2- seems like there is no rush to get the item done and not considering how long the customer is out a main component on a bike they may love to ride. 3- no initiative to communicate. Had to call multiple times just to understand what point in the job my wheel was in.

They fit my feet but will they go with the kind of pedal set up I have. I ll have to sit on the bike with the shoes on and connect to the pedals. I hope it's good. I m tired of hunting. They fit right. Think I'm In the Clear. Later: When you have a Shimano Shoe that will accept step in clips, "but " you won't be using the clips , Shimano has a adapter called a clip cap. I didn't want to call the factory if they are in stock. So not in stock , but he will order for me. They don't have many riders that read the instructions and Warranty. I ll never use step in clips on the Mountain Bike. Just the Road bike. & I ll need new shoes for Road later this year. Another good reason to come back here. Inventory and Service. Thanks Hank!

I bought a used ez curl bar here last month for the small garage gym I'm assembling …read more I tried to use it last week and found the normal stop Collars would not fit. The ends were not a standard 2 inch. So I came back yesterday to find a solution. He asked me to trade in the Bar in question , gave me a 60 pct credit on original purchase price , I bought another used curl bar with a military Discount with the stops included. So a better bar , complete for Less net $$ than new collars on EBay. And I could make sure it all fit. He said he would deal with the other bar and figure out a way to make it right later on. For me, this was great service I Highly recommend coming here for used and new discounted sports equipment.

This is an excellent place to obtain all of your bowling needs. He sells balls, bags for your balls, shoes, accessories, and more. If you buy a ball from him, he will also drill finger holes for you free of charge. However if you bring your own undrilled ball, he charges $25 for it. Expect around a 20% markup here, since he charges the suggested retail price. For instance, I saw a pair of shoes on sale here for $60 that went for $45 - $50 online. It's totally worth the price, since the customer service here is great. I recently joined a bowling league at Lucky Strike, and I got a little lost determining what I needed to purchase. He helped me out, and suggested a few brands to try out. That said, I highly recommend visiting this place for all your bowling needs.

If you're not familiar with Alo, they are another athleisure/activewear brand much like LuluLemon…read more I find their sizing to be inconsistent, so I was excited to see them open a store in Tucson, so that I can try things on and not deal with having to order two sizes everytime. The store is nicely laid out. They apparently call them "Alo Sanctuaries". It's very zen and modern and doesn't feel cluttered like the new LuluLemon spot. The store has only been open a few weeks. I am not sure if they plan to integrate into the community like LuluLemon has with yoga classes, etc. La Encantada seems to be turning into an athleisure shopping center, so we'll see how they do.
