Excellent spot for gear, rentals, and tune-ups. Totally psyched to have a closer rental shop for…read moresnowboarding gear since I used to go to REI (Rancho Cucamonga)/Phil's (Costa Mesa). Hunter was our rep helping my family tonight. We needed snowboard boots, bindings, and board. Super chill and easy to fit our kid into the right size board and boots. The gear was in excellent condition (new)! They also have clothing and helmets but we were good on those. We rented the evening prior to our trip and dropped off the next day. Super easy drop off. Just put the gear at the register and they hand you back the rental slip copy. Protip: I highly recommend adding on the $2 rental instance in case things go sideways on the mountain with the gear.

Headed past the Vans and to the boards on the wall. An employee came out of a back room said hi and walked to a coworker and started a conversation. I went through the boards trying to narrow down what I wanted, with the plan to then check out the Vans. Looked around for acknowledgement and assistance from staff. Nothing. So we left. FYI. I carry cash and was planning to spend a bit on the Alien Workshop board and another and most likely a couple pairs of Vans. Kinda disappointed but will spend my money on an establishment that provides even minimal customer service.

Golf Galaxy is the newest golf shop in town. It's located on Alabama and Almond, across the street…read morefrom Target and directly next to Eos gym. They also have locations in Upland and Pasadena. Parking is ample as it is in a huge lot with other establishments. The inside is really clean and huge! They have a wide selection of companies they carry in stock on the floor - Titleist, Callaway, Taylormade, etc. They also have a section for used items and some of the items look like new! In the back, they have a golf simulator where some people were there to hit some golf balls. They also have a section where you can customize your golf clubs and regrip them. It appears that they also offer golf lessons.

I recently went to Golf Galaxy for the first time. I had my clubs re gripped and bought a new shaft…read morefor my driver. When I arrived to the Golf Galaxy I asked the registered representative (super nice girl) where do I need to go to make an appointment to get my irons re gripped, she instructed me to go in the far right corner of the building and someone will help me. As I arrived to the fitting dept the store was pretty dead, no rush hour. I was waiting for a few mins to get someone's attention at the fitting dept finally someone came out the back and the guy walked passed by me and didn't acknowledge or even greet me. Not even a "Hello I'll be with you in just a min" nothing. So I continued to look around the grip section to see what I wanted to purchase. I noticed the same guy that walked past me was in the middle of the isle next to the fitting dept talking to another associate and just mingling, not helping another customer. I walked up to him and asked nicely "Hello, do you work back here" he replied "Yes" but had smirk on his face as if I was bothering him. He finally went to the register and asked me "How can I help you?" I said "I'm looking to get my irons re gripped and get a new shaft for my driver" I asked "May I have your name" he said "my name is Hunter" I than asked Hunter if he had any recommendations on brands for a shaft? He really didn't seem enthusiastic to help just sat on his chair and continued to enter in all my information on his system. So I just proceeded to look at what they had and went with the same brand I originally had on my driver. Normally with this service I would've just left but I was planning to head out to a golfing trip and turn around was pretty fast (24 hours) I wish I would've caught the gentleman's name when I picked up my clubs because he was more friendlier and seemed to that he was willing to help. Hunter, I didn't feel like the level of customer service matched what I was expecting. It came across a bit dismissive. I'm sharing this because good customer service makes a huge difference, especially in a place where people are looking for guidance and expertise. Taking a little extra time to listen, engage, and be approachable can really improve the experience for customers. I hope you take this constructively and use it as an opportunity to improve. Thanks for hearing me out.
