We requested an MRI and were told to complete physical therapy first because the office did not want to pursue pre-authorization without PT. After PT was completed, we returned to the same physician and requested the shoulder MRI again, but the office declined again, stating the pain "might be spinal" instead of shoulder-related. We then attempted to schedule with their spine specialist in both November and December and were told both times to call back in a month because they were "changing systems." When I asked how we were supposed to proceed without the ability to schedule, we were told, "Find someplace else." We did. We contacted Professional Orthopaedic Associates and they scheduled her appointment the same week. Overall, we were not satisfied with the lack of clear ownership of the case, the scheduling delays, and the communication around next steps and imaging.

Then Kim hung up. I called her back because I was talking when she rudely hung up. I informed her I brought the prescription in and gave it to them Friday afternoon and it was approved. She denied service and didn't even apologize when my insurance adjuster intervened she was treated with the same disregard. Kim stated she'll call me when she receives an approval to schedule an appointment. I went home. Approximately 1/2 hour later she told me I was approved and to come back but she is unprofessional and disrespectful. I'm the patient and I have too much going on with my health to be treated like this. The front desk girls need sensitivity training. Kim when you speak to someone remove the arrogance from your tone and let them respond - don't just slam the phone down. I'm a patient NOT one of your friends. After denying me service the week prior I would have NEVER believed they would do it again (my prescription/insurance was submitted timely). I wouldn't recommend anyone to go there unless you like being embarrassed (discussing bill in front of other patients), profiled, and talked down to by the front desk. It is convenient and close to my house but it's definitely for me. I wasn't valued /appreciated as a patient. I'll rehab my injuries elsewhere.

I needed to have an injection in my buttocks. I was very much worried whether it was going to hurt. Dr. Mann reassured me that I would feel nothing. Well, I have to say I felt nothing!!! He did numb me up previously to the injection that helped the affected nerve to calm down. He uses a machine that posts an image on a computer screen, so he knew exactly where to put the needle. He then took the time to show me the details on his computer screen, which I thought was very kind of him to do. Today I have absolutely no pain or discomfort. I am switching over to him to handle my shoulder problems. I would recommend anyone to go to see Dr. Mann, however I hope he doesn't get so busy that he has no time for me lol!
