Ok and ok. Slow…read moreSunday. Store was well stocked and clean. We drove 40 min out of our way on a friends recommendation. Found some hiking shoes I needed for this trip. Got the impression that it was Sunday and all the employees were chill and tucked away in the back. Again. Would shop here. Seemed to have everything you need for outdoor gear. Just nothing stood out.

Store…read moreis really large and has a huge selection of seasonal products outside (bikes, kayaks, BBQ,s, pools, etc). Once you enter the store it has a very similar look and feel to other Academy sports stores. Well laid out store with ball sports all grouped together, shoes section, outdoor supplies related to camping, fishing gear, guns and accessories, then boating type stuff. As with most stores most of the middle of the store is related to clothing (men's, women's, and children's). Near the checkout they have sunglasses and sport watches. Didn't find anything I wanted so I didn't have any interaction with the staff. All in all not a bad store and quite a bit of inventory on hand.

We were told that the guy who does fittings wasn't there, but if we could come back the next day he has an open schedule and could fit us then. We live about :45 mins away. We called several times the next day and no one answered. Called again no answer. We finally reached someone at 3:00 and they said the guy that does fittings was at lunch but he'd be back in :30 mins and that he'd be leaving in 3 or 4 hours. That sounded like we'd take the chance and go on down. We arrived at Dicks and the guy in the golf department said the guy that does the fittings had left for the day. I would think that on the first visit from us to the golf department to be fitted for clubs someone would have said: What's your name and number?? And maybe the same question when we called back the next day. By the way, the sales person that was there in the golf department could have totally sold us clubs if he'd said: Hey, while you're here try these clubs out! We might have just bought a set that he showed us. We were open! We left there and went to another golf store and got clubs. There they were very attentive, helpful and I'm glad we could get what we needed.

Nice Store, Decent Selection, Clean and Organized…read more I've been to this REI a few times now. It's a nice smaller store with a good selection still. Maybe it just feels smaller than my old REI where I used to live? Great spot to buy a bicycle, tent, camping gear or other outdoor gear. You can also order anything j online and pick it up in store if you are in a trip or just want to be able to try something out in the store. I always appreciate how clean and organized REI stores are. Also the consistency of what you can expect. The floor staff are always helpful here and making sure that you are finding everything. - 1 Star: For some reason the cashiers always seem unhappy though and make no small talk even when you try to say something funny to make them feel better. They don't seem to intend this effect but they just don't seem happy. At our old REI they were always bubbly and seemed amazingly happy! Not the end of the world, but odd for an REI...
