I won the GUNBROKER bid on an 1842 Springfield Musket from the Civil War Era in March 2024. It was listed by this gun shop POSEY GUN and PAWN. I paid for two-day shipping . After a few weeks I called and asked about my won item. Seeing my Money Order $666.10 was cashed. The person I talked with, stated my Musket was sent by FEDEX and was returned to their shop looking like it was run over by a truck. I asked for the FEDEX tracking number and some photos of the damaged gun. Then I requested that my gun be resent with the damage. The shop blocked my Emails and I have not received my gun or a refund. Scam for sure in my book. Not a very good way to run a gun shop! read more

The fellas in the store seem to be pretty decent guys and try to be helpful, no issue there. If you are just buying a pistol/rifle, they have the best price. Issue is the conflict in business that comes from running a pawn shop/auction house/gun shop out of the same "house". I left some firearms I inherited with them for their "auction". Sadly, it was a very poorly attended auction, but that's just the way it goes. I can live with the that result. What I can't live with is being charged a seller's fee of 10% which wasn't disclosed, add to that a disclosed buyer's premium of 10%. So basically, you start out with your firearm listed at a 20% reduction before the auction begins. Seems to be that this is a disincentive to performance in the auction...ya think? Okay shame on them. I went in the shop twice to question the undisclosed 10% sellers premium, and the guys were as helpful as they could be, but they have no power to do anything. I asked them to have Terry Posey call me both visits.....I guess you can figure, he hasn't bothered. I can say that with regard to the conduct of the auction, the most time I witnessed spent in "bidding up" an item resulted from Posey selling his son's dirt bike. I guess that's just more home cooking. I wonder if he charged his kid the seller's premium? On another note, after researching on the internet to see if anyone else had experienced any of this (in all fairness, I found nothing), I found a post that referred to him agreeing with 100% registration on transfer of privately sold firearms. So they have competitive pricing. Fairy large selection. The only problem I have is it still has that shady pawn shop feel every time I go in there. Like they think I'm gonna shoplift or something. I just bought a nice P30SK from them last weekend. Pricing was in line with online discount websites like CDNN. They always seem fair whenever I bring something in to sell or trade. Every now and then they will have some crazy rare item like a SCAR 17S or similar. It just never seems to be when I can afford said gem. Don't let that discourage you. I guess I've got AR15 fatigue though cause they have plenty of those. Tons of Magpul parts and other gear. read more
