The owner had a stack on a shelf, but none had a power cord. While I was searching, he never offered to help me look for them. I saw a Toshiba and an HP labtop in a locked display case. Apparently, he did not want to get out of his chair, walk about 15 ft. and open up the display case for me. He got short with me because he had to bend over and retrieve 3 different labtops. He got mad at me as I tried to boot up a HP labtop. It was trying to install an update of Windows, but couldn't because it had no wi-fi connection, which meant it would be stuck at the 0% progress mark. I tried to cancel the upload the proper way by pressing alt+control+delete. It didn't respond so I manually powered the labtop down. When it booted back up, it was in diagnostic mode. I told him that. He said "was it because you pressed the F11 key? I saw you press it." I said "No, that would not cause it to do that." He replied "How do you know?" I said "I know computers." He snapped at me and said "Well obviously you don't because you plugged the power cord in the headphone jack and you tried to open it from the wrong side. You don't know what the hell you are doing!" I replied "It's obvious you are mad at me so I won't buy it." I have trouble-shooted computers many times. You just have to be patient. This was the first time I handled this model of HP so that's why I tried to open it from the wrong end. I didn't break it trying to do this. It's a common mistake of plugging in the power cord into the headphone jack because it looks very similar to the power jack. I didn't break the headphone jack. If I broke anything, I would have been glad to fix it. As I left the store I said "You have an attitude." He said " Yes I do". I replied "Good luck with your business." and walked out the door. I would have bought that labtop if it booted up. He lost a sale and a customer. I don't think he has a lot of customers because he had to turn off his AC and have the fans blowing. At least his weiner dog was friendly.

Well, I did a lot of business with them and had a high opinion of Mark but not so much now. I had a…read moregun on consignment there for five months. Mark encouraged me to keep the gun in consignment so I did. When I went there for the final time I asked him if he wanted to buy it outright and at a great price. Mark said, no. When I asked him why and he said he would have a hard time selling it. So he basically strung me along for five months knowing it was a hard sell. Why lead me on like that? I sold the gun at Cabela's the next day for a very fair price. I am done with Midway Pawn.

I called Walker Co Police. Had report filled out at the store & inside. The police told Pawn owner/employee he could not resell this item, to hold for court. Item was left at pawn store. Officer said some discouraging words: "it'll most likely get thrown out due to the dollar amount" (i report worth $150). Detective assigned to my case called me, left message. Next day I returned message, leaving him message. Week later I left another message. Couple months went by. I called again, left message. Received returned call. Me & Detective spoke. He had a hard time finding my report on system b/c SOMEONE AT THE SHERIFFS OFFICE misspelled my name. Detective finally found report. He said he'd look into it and get back with me. I called back day or two later giving him ticket number, date & absolutely every bit of info on the ticket. Few weeks go by, I dont hear anything. another week or two, nothing. I go by pawn shop.
