I believe everything in here comes from Dick's Sporting Goods, but Dick's isn't known for great pricing. I haven't been there in a hundred years it feels like, and the last time I was in one I left - per usual - empty handed. Hardest part of retail is getting the customer through the door. GOTTA CONVERT! Not me. Never convert me. Gotta have those deals on deals on deals... Maybe I'm cheap? Maybe I'm smart? Whatever. My wife got a pair of shorts, Columbia, for $8. We also got some Chief's gear for $7. But it's mostly a sad Nordstrom Rack. 80% of this place is clothes, the other 15% is Shoes...and the remaining 5% is sporting junk. It reminded me of Sears Outlet, or any of those sad places you shop when you were tiny and poor: Flourescent lighting; Too much floor; HOSPITAL TILES; Carpet stolen from 1988 Macy's. I don't know, felt like a really nice thrift store. I hated it. Put up better signs, clearly convert me on the true price of things, maybe label each thing. I saw full retail tags everywhere and just left. My wife thought there might have been 8x11 paper tags on the end of isles, but the kids running this place could honestly care less, so there's that. Tried it.

However, I had used them in the past for my baseball team and had a pretty good experience so I decided to go forward using them since so many others were using Nill Bro's b/c they were listed as the official provider for Blue Valley Rec teams. Jill, the owner, was a pleasure to work with and I found her to be VERY responsive. She often communicated with me via text which was extremely convenient and speedy. Her graphic artist took my ideas and did a very nice job coming up with three good options for a logo and lettering. I am a very detail-oriented person (a perfectionist of sorts) and their artist showed no frustration with me as I tweaked her ideas several times with my own. The only snafu was that our pants didn't arrive in time for our first game. However, it wasn't really a big deal...we had our socks, belts, jerseys and visors so we all matched just fine. In the end, everyone involved with the team is very pleased with the end result and we had our pants for our second game. She even stitched each player's number on the back of each visor which we did NOT discuss but parents have lauded about. She and her staff also organized the pick-up exceptionally well with all jerseys hung up and personalized bags around the neck of each hanger holding the belts, socks, and visors. As a coach getting ready too deliver them to each player, that was so helpful and I appreciated it very much! I would highly recommend you give Jill at Sportswear Etc a chance to earn your business. The best recommendation I can make is to go there immediately after determining your team name and roster so that she, her suppliers, her graphic artists, and her stitchers are not forced to produce a product in a short amount of time when everyone else is also requesting theirs be completed. If you do this, I believe you will be happy with the process just as I was. Brook Menees

This location is a bit on the small side for Made in KC spots so with that in mind you're not going to find quite as much of a selection here as you would on the Plaza. Last time I was in I did find some great bbq rubs, and condiments to add some local pizazz to my husband's valentines gift though so it was a win! I will say, if you have the time it might be worth it to venture to their flagship location or to one that might have a bit more to take in. While I think they do a great job with the amount of retail space here they just can't keep it as thoroughly stocked as a bigger location.

The store itself has a wide range of gifts and items for all ages. The best part is that you are also supporting the local businesses that produced it! Although not their biggest location, this shop makes great use of their small space. Their products range from shirts and hats to local BBQ sauce and hot sauce. There is a wall full of cool art pieces that always catch my attention. They rotate products in and out, so it's always a surprise whenever you visit. I went in looking for some gifts to give to a friend I will be visiting and ended up finding the perfect items, while also getting some things for myself. I took full advantage of the small table that was set up full of pet related products. I would say the prices are above average, but it is definitely still worth a browse to see if you can find some good deals. You could probably walk through the whole shop and look at everything in under a couple minutes, but don't be surprised if you walk out with an unique gift that you just had to have!

Well to be honest I really had to wrestle with this. A couple weeks back I went in to get an item I had on short term loan. I only had it in for a month or 2 at the most. It was a new unused Trijicon MRO Red dot optic for my rifle. Retail prices have gone up even over what I paid for it in the last 6 months. I believe I paid just under $500. I'd have to check the receipt. My loan on the thing was only $100 or so, again I'd have to double check but that was the approximate amount. I went to buy it back out and I started to worry bc they couldn't find the item in the system, or in back. Turns out they come back and try to tell me that I sold the item to them and I didn't get it on loan!! (Which I had the receipt for the pawn) Immediately my stomach sunk and I started to get so upset I was literally shaking. I explained no, I absolutely did not sell anything and never have, and they Needed to find it and get it back! If not that the only right thing to do would be to buy me a brand new one or even a used one which would still have sucked and not been the right thing to do, but I might have considered that. They keep acting as if this was my fault. I asked them to tell me in the system how many items have I sold them anything? How many have I pawned? None. I sold NONe! Only loans for decades!! I was a great customer and I have spent so much money in that place over the years buying from them. After leaving me out front for what seemed like way too long they came out and said they were sorry and they sold it!!! Wtf!!!!??? I was so upset. Considering it was a gift from my father. The last one. He ended up giving me like $170 which they claim was what they sold the item for and told me that was the best they could do. I had no choice but to take the unfair joke of an amount. You can't find that optic and model new for under $450. Every MRO HD I've seen is $500 and up. I've seen them at $600 plus. Ever since this happened it's just been nagging me, and I've been so sick about it. I feel like I was wronged, lied to, and cheated out of my $500 plus after taxes Trijicon optic! Since this instance I've asked other local pawn shops what they thought and what they would do if they had made that mistake. Every single one told me they would have had overnighted a brand new optic straight from Trijicon if need be to make the situation right. If they couldn't do that they'd also offer $500 whatever the cost was new in store credit. They said they'd give me that option at least. They asked if they had done that would I ever consider doing business there or referring them again to my buddies and family? Which I do and I would. I am big on honesty and loyalty. If a company does right by me I do right by them. But in this case Olathe Tradihg Post and Pawn fucked me. They wronged me and did NOT fix it. They just insulted me more. Anyways, sorry for the long rant but I had to just get this out there bc I would hate to have the same thing happen to anyone else. God forbid they did that with someone's wedding or engagement or class rings, something that couldn't ever be replaced. To me bc of who gave it to me and the circumstances around it, that was like a class ring to me. Hell I hadn't even had the chance to use it given my financial circumstances at the time from losing my job. The whole reason I went there for help. I didn't get any help. I feel like they literally stole from me. Anyways, now I gotta find a new shop to buy from and recommend to family and friends. Also, we were able to speak with quite a few new homeowners living here lifelong.
