It's different from their REI outlet items because these are all final sale. The inventory always changes based on what items have been returned. REI's generous 100% satisfaction guaranteed return policy-that stuff that has been used and then returned that can be restocked/sold in the normal retail store? That stuff ends up here. It's a great way to reduce waste. You can find tents, sleeping bags, hiking poles, shoes, clothes, cycling gear, pretty much anything can end up here. The discounts are priced based on the condition of the item. This is the thrift store of REI gear and it's amazing.

He took a moment because he thought it was a little less online. When he asked "and that's the total with tax?". Normally you hear back a confirmation but instead she said no with tax it's $73.62. Mind you we were at the register to pay not for a price check. My husband was looking at his phone and she blurts out "you want it or not?". We told her yes but I had to explain to her he is just taking a moment to look up the price. Normally someone at the register gives the total price when purchasing not sub total. I walked away once my husband got the receipt and was already a good ways away from the register and she yells out "Good Bye!" In the most patronizing tone. It was the cherry on top for this review. We are all human and can do better but this right here is why online shopping and self check out is putting cashiers out of jobs. Maybe she should remember that the next time she wants to be unjustifiably rude and try to make people feel less than with "you want it or not?". So if you want your intentions to be buy something rudely questioned in front of other guests than this is the place and Jaslene is your go to.

Brian, another manager, is just as amazing as well. This location is always busy, however these managers know how to treat their team with respect and dignity. The sales team, Brendan, Robert (Rob), Yoon, Antonio, Cisco, Chris Y., Ner, and the rest, enjoy assisting customers whether it's their first gun purchase or not. They share their knowledge and provide safety instructions throughout the whole transaction. They never once take their eyes away from the firearm. The selection of firearms is incredible, plus they can special order items for you. For those interested in optics for their firearm(s), please seek the assistance from Robert (Rob), Brenden, Brian, or Yoon. They know the benefits of each brand and model Turners carries, plus the fitment. One or all of them are usually working. They can mount it to your firearm, if you're picking up your firearm at the same time. Several of the staff members go to a local gun range on their days off. They went to check and luckily there was one Betts Jersey left in my size. We also signed up to get $20 off purchases of $100 or more. We did all that at the store and when it came to checking out, it turns out the coupon wasn't available until after a few days or something. We ended paying full price, no problem. The manager explained to us, if we wanted, we could bring the jersey back and repurchase after we got the coupon to get that $20 back. I didn't get the coupon until a week later which was to expire in 2 days. I went back to the store with the coupon forgetting that the $20 was actually NOT a free $20 off anything. It was $20 off ANOTHER purchase for $100+. So basically, a trick to get you to buy more, which I didn't end up using. The coupon wasn't quite clear and tricky to be honest. Beware of those marketing schemes and ads you see online or in store! The only upside was that the staff were very understanding and helpful. We went back looking for another shirt but they didn't have it in stock and they were nice enough to call the El Segundo location to hold the item for us. We went to that location, picked up the item easily, and there were no issues. Just keep an eye on the sales and ads -- and know what you're really getting. They are not your douchey commercialized surf shop. They also are very responsive on the phone if you have any questions. Even years back, I had some questions regarding their wetsuits and surfboards and they really take the time to help me out in-person and over the phone. ET is well-known among surfers and is trustworthy. Prices are fair and competitive. It is super rare and unheard of to discount wetsuits/ have sales for wetsuits but they do here at ET! They have a huge selection of wetsuits and gear here. I always leave here happy and excited to surf.
