Interesting-I think my review will be some what similar to others I have read. So I went earlier today because I needed a new grip for my pickleball racket. As I was looking at the immense number of grips to choose from, I asked a younger girl who worked there which she would suggest and she just pointed and said any. So I was still confused-so I asked another associate who was stringing a tennis racket and he also sort of gave a half ass answer and called for another associate. The employees were not very friendly or helpful-hence I am not giving five stars. However, I finally got the right person-seemed like the manager and she was fantastic. She spent about 20 minutes trying to peal apart my old grip--using all sorts of tools and it was disintegrating in her hands, so I felt really bad. Once she managed to get it off she put on the new grip for me, which was so nice--she really went out of her way to make sure it worked, so I appreciated that. Also-their selection is fabulous--at least in the pickleball area where I was looking--tons of rackets to demo, grips, bags, tennis/pickleball attire etc. I will definitely will go back in the future, if I need other pickleball items, just hoping the employees won't look so annoyed and disinterested if I ask a question. read more

Great selection and service for tennis racquets and shoes for indoor courts. The owner was very helpful and knowledgeable.

My daughter is new to the sport of tennis, in fact the whole family is new to tennis so when it came time to buy her a "real" racket we were a bit nervous about what questions to ask and what to look for. We were told to ask for Karen (and what a blessing that was). She patiently explained the things to look for and the pros and cons of each racket and never tried to steer us towards a racket that was more expensive. I've been to Sportech on many occasions never had to wait more than 5 minutes to be acknowledged. Today I walked in stood patiently and not one person said anything to me others had been approached. After 15 minutes of being ignored, I left. It used to be my mantra to shop local but bye bye Spotech. read more

Hands-down, the absolute best tennis store in westchester. They are super knowledgeable about rackets strings shoes absolutely everything tennis. They are tennis players and extremely helpful in getting you set up with the right equipment. I've been going to their store for seven plus years have bought numerous rackets and string my rackets every few weeks with them. Couldn't be happier with their service and we are so lucky to have them as they are head and shoulders above any others in our area. If you are a serious tennis player, this is the only place to go. read more

Went in today upon recommendation of a friend. Walked in, asked for the person I was told to seek, and the man at the front desk said "in the back". Went to the back, and a guy was stringing a racket, so I asked him about this person. He said, "she's in the back", and went on stringing the racket. I stood around for nearly 10 minutes looking at shoes, rackets, and was on the verge of leaving when finally someone came out and got the person I was looking for. She helped me and was quite friendly, but I cannot say the same for the rest of the staff. If there was another tennis store closer by, I'd definitely go there. read more

Gem of a store and a total find for the tennis set. Karen is amazing and so knowledgeable. She was particularly helpful with racquet recommendations and shoe fittings - and I have wonky feet. The whole team is friendly and helpful. I was able to find all the current lines of both shoes and clothing long before other stores had them in stock. And at manufacturer retail price. The owners and staff are very hands attentive and are willing to give you as much help as you like: from finding tennis clothing to children's sneakers to a demo'ing a new tennis racquet, they are very knowledgeable and service oriented. read more

I needed running shoes with a lot of support and since I work nearby did a Yelp search. I called before going and spoke to a gentleman who was very pleasant. I told him what I needed and the price range I was looking for and he assured me that he could accommodate my budget ( I was looking to spend around $100 but I understand that running shoes can be expensive). When I arrived, the same gentleman remembered the price range and showed me a few great choices. Overall, the staff was very attentive and helpful. They really carry a lot of great sports gear. I highly recommend this store to anyone who is looking for a solid running/workout shoe. They have a lot of different brands and know them well. read more

Sportech is a hidden gem. It is actually more of an "athletes" store than a sporting goods store. The store seems to specialize in tennis and running (they have a sister store located in a nearby tennis facility), but maybe it depends on the season. They offer a huge selection of tennis and running sneakers, apparel (including lots of whites), and a great selection of socks too... hey, they matter! They also sell tennis racquets and fitness clothes for children. The employees/owners are friendly and have lots of product knowledge, and will work with you to find a shoe that fits. The merchandise is all high quality; the buyers clearly put a lot of time and thought into the goods they carry. Happy to recommend, the shop is definitely worth a visit. read more

Good for kids shin guards & sweatshirts that's about it. Very little sports knowledge and unfriendly return policy. Tried to exchange a Nike dry top running shirt for a different size with a receipt and was given a store credit. They were out of all running apparel. I asked the women to order me one and told her didn't mind waiting. She said I should just order it online or if I wanted she showed me a Wilson basketball tank top that she claimed was similar. Why would I pay for it again or want a basketball shirt I am a runner. She did have a point just order it online, so much for helping the local guy. read more

I have been a runner for years and I love coming here to get shoes. They can be a little pricey but I find that they have the best selection for my feet. It isn't the largest selection of running shoes you can find, but the staff is very friendly and will take the time to help you try on multiple pairs until you find the right one. read more
