My experience with the service department this week did not go well. I began making calls for a 30K…read moreservice on my Miata beginning Monday around 10:00 a.m. The telephone tree seemed to be broken, because I had to punch the "2" key for service three different times before a human finally answered. I was immediately put on hold for 8.5 minutes then was disconnected. I called right back and went through the faulty telephone tree as before. This time instead of speaking to a person I was asked if I wanted a call back. I did. Two hours later, not having heard from the service department, I made another call. This again wound up with my being offered a call back. I again agreed and again received no call within a reasonable amount of time. A fourth call finally got me through to a service writer. An appointment was made for two days later at 8:15 a.m. I was told that the work would take 1.5-2.0 hours, so I elected to wait at the dealership for repairs. When I arrived for the appointment, I was told the wait would be a minimum of 3.5 hours. I called my wife to pick me up, disrupting both of our morning expectations. There's no excuse for that kind of stupidity. This service department doesn't appear to know what they're doing. When I finally retrieved the car, the bill was 150% more than what I was expecting. If I can find another Mazda dealer in the area, I doubt I'll be returning to Fitzgerald.

He's also a pleasure to talk to and seems to genuinely value his customer relationships. The showroom has a positive vibe and is not overwhelmingly big like at many dealerships. Everyone seems happy to be there and they were all great to our 3 year old, who was in tow for the duration. We left Annapolis with what we felt was a good deal on a great car and did so without the normal car purchasing pain. Goss quoted me $993 to replace what they claimed was a bad headlight assembly. They listed the part alone at $619. Before approving anything, I asked two very standard, very basic questions: 1. "What is the part number for this $619 headlight assembly?" Melissa told me, "Unfortunately we don't get that until the part arrives." This makes no sense. A shop cannot order a part without knowing the part number first. Big red flag. 2. "How much is the markup on that part?" Melissa said, "Unfortunately I don't have access to that information." Again -- impossible. Every shop sees cost vs retail in their system. It's how parts are priced. Another big red flag. Both responses were evasive and dishonest, and no reputable shop would answer those two questions that way. I took the car to another mechanic (Ron at the Mobil station on 301) for a second opinion. He found the REAL issue was simply a melted connector--extremely common with older cars. He replaced the connector and bulb for $113 and everything works fine now. I saw the owner of Goss respond to another negative review by comparing Goss to a steakhouse and talking about their "warranty." Warranties and steaks have nothing to do with overpricing and refusing to disclose basic information like part numbers and markup -- information every legitimate auto shop can provide instantly. I'm fine with paying steakhouse prices if that's what I ordered, but not if the restaurant can't even tell me what cut of meat they're serving! Bottom line: --Goss tried to sell me a $993 repair that wasn't necessary --Goss refused to disclose part number or markup when directly asked --Another shop fixed the real issue for $113 The upselling is off-putting, but the lack of transparency around parts is inexcusable. We will not be returning, and I'd strongly recommend getting a second opinion before approving any work here.

My car has a unique blue/green color, and the paint match was done flawlessly. Thank you Aria for doing exactly what you said you would. Additionally, the interior of the vehicle was exceptionally clean and smelled like a brand-new car. I truly appreciate the care and attention to detail shown by the RPM team. Since I do not drive this vehicle often, (2019 with only 31,827 miles) it still feels new to me, and they restored it beautifully to the day I brought it.

I could have not received worst service. I needed a side mirror replaced. I was given the cost of…read moreit's replacement and made an appointment for the new mirror to be installed. When I arrived for that appoinment I was told I should wait for it would only take 20 minutes. After a hour and 15 minutes I asked how much longer and was told they are finishing the installation. Another 30 minutes pass and I was informed that they needed a different mirrow and woud be contacted when it the replacement would arrive. The bottom line is for a 20 minute initial installation I was at this shop 5 different days a total of over 6 hours and the job was not completed for worthless explanations; could not get it calabrated, we need another time to paint it, we are ordering a new one etc. The last visit I was told the car was being washed and it would be ready in 10 minutes - a complete lie. I asked for the manager and was told they were having problems installing it. All these visits I was misinformed, actually lied to, on the time frame to replace the mirror of which none were accurate. I left without the mirror replaced. Went to another shop, part was ordered and when it arrived, I waited while they replaced in in 55 minutes. I have used RPM a number of times with good results, but this experience could not have been any worse. ps I have never written a negative review before - but I feel this is extremely warrented.
