We really enjoyed the atmosphere and was able to watch the soccer game while eating. Great food and good service

A friend said, "Let's go to lunch and get out of the house." Sure, why not. We were originally on our way to Hapeville, but she saw this spot on the way and changed her mind. I have lived here 19 years, and I have never been to Spondivits. The long line of people standing outside always made me go elsewhere. There was no line today. Perfect. We were seated in a booth that had open windows to the outside. The place is very rustic, like a hole in the wall. The sever brought us the menus and took our drink orders. They make some really good brewed iced tea. It was sweet and not watered down. We ordered an appetizer of Fried Calamari and raw Oysters. My friend enjoyed her oysters. The Calamari was deep fried, but it had a light batter. In my opinion, it needed a different batter and some seasoning. Next, we had seafood platters and some crab cakes. The platter was in a small plastic tray. It looked like it wasn't a lot of food, but there was quite a bit there. It consisted of shrimp, oysters, and clams, all fried with French fries. Again, the food lacked seasoning, but it was edible. The crab cakes were super tasty and filled with butter. I was not impressed by the food. I really wanted to like it but in my opinion the prices do not compare to the quality of the dishes. The food is expensive. We spent $170 and that did not include alcohol or dessert. Please think about using some seasoning other than salt. Also, the parking is free valet only and located behind the restaurant at the bottom of the hill.

If you want great food and an even better vibe, check this place out. Cold beer, great oysters and a special clam chowder that will knock your socks off

Parking: Valet only (you keep your keys) Price: 8:50-59.95 in the menu I was given on a Monday. Gratuity: Added to the bil 18 or 20%(I cant remember) and max 3 check splits at the table. The Bar at Spondivits is nice to sit at, its lively, you watch the game but the bar stools are too low. They really need to fix that. The drinks are stronger & good. I had the Chowder Kennebunkport Bowl which is topped with melted cheese & bacon it also comes with Garlic bread. Also, on this day it was $21 95. It was extremely salty and I was unable enjoy or finish eating the soup. I explained this to the waitress and she only replied, ' Ill let them know'. Nothing else was said, nor did I ask for a Manager as I would normally do, I just couldnt be bothered on a Monday. My friend had ordered the 1/2 dozen of Andy's Special Recipe Oysters, which she loved she said it was the closest thing to char-grilled Oysters & the side of sauce which ended up being Horseradished based she loved it as well, it had a little kick. The bucket of crab legs she ordered was 1lb you have to pay for a side of old bay and they provide a garlic butter. Also, my friend wanted to add another 1/ dozen Andy's Special Oysters to make it a a dozen and to also pay the price for a full and the told her that was not an option & if she wanted 6 more she would need to pay the 1/2 dozen price. It sounded ridiculous but they made a thing about corporate doesnt like to see charges being voided etc. The server and the host were all very nice and they kept checking on us. We sat by the back door and a fan was there blowing, which made it a little cool so we asked for it to be turned off. The gentleman stepped on the seat that I was sitting on to turn the fan off and proceed to leave without cleaning the seat. I asked for him to clean the seat & he responded 'oh you want Princess treatment', my friend & I had to laugh. Its the ignorance to think thats Princess treatment when he just stepped his dirty shoes on the chair & didn't think it needed to be cleaned off for me to continue sitting in the seat. ‍ I dont frequent Spondivits, I can tell you one thing it will remain that way. I see different menus online with varying price ranges. I wonder if they have menus for certain days or they give ppl different menus based on if they think they have money to spend. I will still continue not to frequent Spondivits as it is a staple in the Hapeville area but the prices are extremely high. The crab bucket was delicious, the oysters were as well, the Chowder soup was salty AF and some of the rules of not accommodating customers are ridiculous. The place could use a little updating, the bathroom was clean and they are unisex, the drinks at the bar are strong. I definitely would recommend Spondivits but be prepared to spend some money. My review is a hard 3

Great food , Great service from both hostesses, Bartender Andre and waitress Cindy had an upbeat service with a smile. Management know what they are doing providing great atmosphere with great variety of music. Very cozy place and thank you for making our Valentines layover memorable.

This place had a really cool vibe and the valets were chill too. My crab legs were really good. Nice size and a good amount of meat. The oysters were a nice size but were a bit on the warm side. I had to stop eating them of fear of getting sick. This could just be preference but I prefer my oysters to be chilled more. Overall, great place and would definitely go back.

The Ultimate Fried Combo ( fried shrimp, oysters, and clams w/ fries)

Soooo good!!! Someone recommended this place for dinner while we were visiting from VA. The seafood was served fresh and hot! The shrimp were so plump and juicy, the oysters were the perfect size and cooked perfectly, the clams were so good! Not too chewy like some places. Our waitress was very nice and patient. We had a hard time selecting from the extensive menu. It was a cool setting! We set on the "patio" which was inside but had open windows which was perfect! I can't wait to visit when I'm in town again.

I'm giving this establishment a one star due to the fact that I was assaulted by the restaurant manager. He was not provoked by anyone but, needs to get rid of. He was irrational and incompetent. If this is the type of management this place has to offer, I'm not interested. Not only that they towed my vehicle. Our server Sydney was awesome and she is better than place. I wish her the best. I even have proof of the incident.

Came to this restaurant cause our hotel was next to it. It was a cool little seafood and bar restaurant. We got seating quick and our waitress was nice. I order a margaritas, Cajun shrimp and rice. It was good but expensive and did not know my margaritas would come out to 25 for one drink. Overall, expect to pay high when your here.

Waitress was nice and friendly but didn't know what type of breading was on the fried lobster tails. Sat at booths on the outside. No glass windows but not cold. I've been here many times. Clam chowder tonight was salty AF. Gross. Shrimp was good as always. Fried lobster had lots of breading to pull off. Fries salted and cooked. Make the trek here every year or so when we have to be near the airport. Food is never bad except for tonight's chowder. It ain't cheap. I'll be back some time.

Visiting from out of town and the minute I walked into this place I knew I had hit gold. It was perfect! Really comfortable, super chill and definitely not stuffy. I sat at the bar where Packer fan Kent took great care of me. He was friendly, made great conversation, never let my beer go dry and guided me through the menu perfectly. My French Dip sandwich was huge and absolutely delicious. I loved it here and if I ever get back to the Atlanta area I will not miss stopping by for another great meal. Thanks Kent!

The food was excellent. The service was wonderful. I sat at the bar and Angel was my server. She was wonderful. The ambiance was classics seafood house atmosphere. My overall experience was great.

It's not overwhelming, and to be honest there were so many other items on the menu I wanted to try, which is why I will be coming back. Brake Pad has a full bar & they also have a good craft beer selection and of course they have Sweetwater 420 & Hopsecutioner IPA. The items I had from the menu were the Salsa & Queso w/ chips. The salsa was great and the queso was surprisingly good. I did not have it in my bingo card that they would have great queso but they proved me wrong. For my main meal item I had the Truffle Chicken Salad Sandwich. I HIGHLY recommend if you are looking for a flavorful yet healthy option. I was only able to eat half the sandwich and I was full, so if you don't mind having more delicious Brake Pad cuisine To-Go, then I highly recommend. The atmosphere of Brake Pad was fun, vibrant, and the staff were amazing. The bartender was fun, and knowledgeable and is the one who recommended the Truffle Chicken Salad Between the vibe, the outdoor seating, the good food & the local vibe I highly recommend. I went in with low expectations but they over delivered on everything. GREAT JOB BRAKE PAD, I will be back

The atmosphere - it's sort of like a dive bar but more like the local pub where you grab tacos, a cold brew or a burger. Don't skip the tater tots! Also, breakfast and brunch are good options. On this visit, we had the Patty Melt and two Shrimp Tacos. Kept it simple with water since it was lunchtime. But they have a full bar and drink specials. Indoor and outdoor seating is plentiful. Parking on the street is how it's done. A few designated spaces but around the corner is fine. Service is attentive and friendly. Refilling our cups, checking in and making sure we're good to go. Definitely worth the stop when in College Park.

I don't frequent Shake Shack that often, but I was surprised to see they had several chicken options (chicken nuggets, sandwich, etc.) as well as the breakfast items. My order was done quickly and they called my name when it was done. It was packaged pretty well in a tray and the burger was wrapped. The bag they put the orders in are sturdy! The burger was excellent - super juicy, pretty greasy, seasoned well, and hot. The lettuce and tomato were fresh, and the cheese was melty. I really loved this burger!
