My husband and I just moved to the Spokane area and were looking for a place to continue our love of horseback riding. After some digging, I found Spokane Trail Rides and Boarding and booked our Ride with the Giants. We were NOT disappointed! Our trail guide, Mrs. Leading Fox (forgive me, I belive her first name was Amy but don't quite remember - her last name is unforgettable though!) was absolutely AMAZING! She was so knowledgeable, sweet, and kind and made the whole experience even greater than it already was. My husband and I will definitely be back and giving this place our business for a long time!!

My boyfriend took me here today for a birthday surprise! It was fabulous! Our guide was Debbie and she was amazing, so friendly and informative! She made us feel very comfortable on our ride. We really enjoyed talking to her. We saw beautiful scenery like the lake, wildlife, and pretty trails. Our horses were very sweet as well! Mine sure loved to eat! Lol We can't wait to come back! Thank you for a wonderful experience! Thank you Debbie!!

Jolly Rancher Rob guided our most magical winter experience through the fresh white powder! Our gentle giants Lightening and Angel were an absolute honor to have escorted us on this journey! Rob showed us a newborn precious, taking much pride in his work on this ranch and an excellent guide. Heartfelt thank you!

Never had ridden a horse before and it was super easy and Debbie the guide was super helpful. She made sure no one fell behind and everyone was getting along with their horse. The trail was amazing and the perfect length filled with great views and a couple well placed breaks. Debbie made sure to take pictures for us so we could focus on controlling our horses. Would definitely book with them again!

Horses are grand and the trail through a reserve has some great scenery and challenging areas which make for a great ride.

Serenity Ridge Farm & Equestrian Center: Wonderful trainer, facility, and horses! I started taking…read morelessons with Katie a few months ago (in early November) and I couldn't be happier. She's an excellent trainer--extremely knowledgeable, patient, explains things well, matched me with a dream horse, and she's funny! I'm an older rider and still a beginner, yet this is not an issue at her facility. She trains riders at all levels & I'm making good progress in a short time because she's great at what she does. She has an indoor arena so I've been able to ride through the winter, and the center is only about 3 miles from downtown Pullman. The horse she chose for me is extremely well-trained & responsive, and she's content and affectionate, which is very important to me. You can tell a lot about a facility and the trainer by how the horses behave. When you come into this stable, the horses here have their ears up & forward, and like to have their necks or faces scratched. It's clear that they are used to be handled kindly & competently, and that they like people. I've only had one other trainer, and she's at the L.A. Equestrian Center. I moved here from California in late August and was worried I wouldn't find anyone else like Jacq (Toadstool Farm), but Katie is fantastic! I feel very lucky to have found Serenity & that Katie is taking new students.

It is NOT for the faint of heart. The trails are mostly narrow with steep drop-offs (ie no two tracks), but the horses handle it beautifully, and at the end of the day you will likely say "Wow!". The Schertenleib's were on time and ready to go as scheduled. The location is well-marked and easy to find using their instructions. They gave a short introduction for new riders, and pick the horses to match the riders ability and experience. The horses appeared to this newbie to be healthy and very well-trained. Blaze and Frankie were our mounts, and they were fantastic Rosie led the ride, which lasted ~4-1/2 hours roundtrip through very rugged and remote terrain. Temperatures were in the mid 90's which likely resulted in not seeing any wild game. Approximately 2/3 of the way through the ride there is a 20-30 minute rest time at a remote cabin (available for rent from the state). Anything you bring will be limited to whatever you can fit into a small saddlebag, so pack lightly. We highly recommend True West Trail Rides, and we are looking forward to riding with them again!
