Spoiled Rotten is a gift to the Tacoma area! We recently engaged their services for a short trip of a weekend and a longer week-long trip. Vaughnie was GREAT with our cats. She spent time petting and playing with them at each visit, administered meds as needed, and kept the litter nice and tidy. She sent an update via text after each visit, along with a couple of pictures of each cat. She got some great shots! She even brought in our mail & packages. This is the perfect example of the immaturity I was talking about. Not to mention lying. On the first morning we were gone, while two thousand miles from home, I received urgent notification on my phone that a break-in alarm was in progress. When an alarm is activated and the correct code is not entered, the police are automatically dispatched to the scene. If it turns out to be a false alarm, we are assessed with a very hefty fine. Well over $200.00. Since this was happening at about the time Spoiled Rotten was supposed to be at our house for their morning visit, I called our home number, hoping the sitter would pick up, if indeed it was the sitter who had triggered the alarm. Fortunately, Dawn, the pet sitter answered my call. She admitted she had lost or forgotten the code we had given her. I gave her the code to disarm the system, she turned it off, and thus we avoided the false alarm fine. An hour later I had forgotten the incident and thought no more about it. Contrary to what Susan and Dawn allege, I never observed her on the security camera, and never called her on her personal phone. I don't even know what her number is. I just called my own phone and she answered it. What this comes down to is that Spoiled Rotten's sitter made a mistake and triggered our burglar alarm, but it's the customer's fault for trying to figure out why there was an alarm in progress at our house. Really, Susan? Poor little Dawn appeared to be a grow-up when we met, but she's acting like a four year-old. We hurt her feelings when she screwed up because I called my home phone and politely told her how to turn the alarm off? Seriously? Would Spoiled Rotten have reimbursed us for the fine if I hadn't called? Hmmmm. I stand by my criticism. read more

Spoiled Rotten Pet Sitting is a wonderful company! I just used them for a week and I received daily text updates and photos. Jessica and Vaughnie were awesome and my usually shy cat even came out to play with them. They really helped to make my vacation stress free so I could just concentrate on having fun. Some of the reasons I love them: Professional and reliable - they have SW that tracks visits, time, etc too Accommodating - they have bent over backwards to help out when needed, even on short notice Our animals love them - they are more excited to see them than they are when I get home from a trip. This was our first time using SRPS due to last minute travel plans. SRPS provided prompt and professional service throughout the planning process. Our little Pomeranian, Bella, is a nervous nilly and does not do well in a kennel situation. When we returned home, Bella, was healthy and happy. Our sitter, Cheyanne, communicated with us via text messaging and left a nice note explaining how things went while we were away. On another note, Cheyanne also watered our flowers and brought a package in from the front step. We used Spoiled Rotten Pet Sitting while we went out of town for a much needed break last December. They were amazing! Setting up the meet and greet was so easy and we got to meet our sitter, Keith, and his backup. Keith stayed the night with our pups, Josie and One-Two, and walked them the other days. He left a great little note letting us know what he had done each visit and kept me up with emails reassuring me my pup were fine! A definite plus was the pay online option and the great rates! Reliable and sweet, J takes wonderful care of my dog and will send me photos of them on the 30 - 60 minute walks that request. I used this company for 7 years, then about a year and a half ago, the owner stopped doing her own visits, and the company grew beyond it's capabilities to provide good OR reliable service. I had one sitter from here that drapped a pair of my pants over poop rather than clean it up. And now they cancelled on me 10 days before a trip. They didn't even say anything until I contacted them to see who was going to come out. I was told they can't force sitters to take jobs and that they were not making any money off me because they paid the sitter extra to go too far from their home in a town 25 miles from mine. (I am 9 miles from Gig Harbor.) I'm sorry I can no longer recommend Spoiled Rotten Pets. They used to be great, but not any longer. read more

Our three kitties were taken care of wonderfully by Becky and Spoiled Rotten Pet Sitting! The set up process was done entirely online and via email and then Becky came for a meet and greet. It was immediately clear at the meet and greet that Becky is an animal lover and very, very good with animals of diverse temperaments. During our trip, she texted us every evening with an update, and when we got back, she had left us detailed notes about every visit. She made sure that each cat got individual attention, too. This service is tremendously better than boarding and also is cost effective for those of us who have multiple pets. We definitely will be using them again! read more

I had contacted Spoiled Rotten Pet Sitting a month ago to inquire about pet sitting for my two dogs while I was going away during Christmas. I originally needed them to come for the entire week, but was able to have a friend help out the other days, so cancelled all the days except for Christmas eve and Christmas Day. I thought I gave them ample time to find me someone, but I guess not. They should have a disclaimer on their website or tell us that it's not guaranteed to find you a sitter. Leaving me only 10 days to find another source during a holiday is so not acceptable. I just received an email stating that they can't accommodate me. I am beyond furious. I have only 10 days to find someone who can watch my dogs on those two days! I am beside myself because if I cancel my trip that is over $3,000 dollars down the drain and my mom is flying in from Atlanta to join us for this amazing trip! I guess the search continues! I can't say enough how pleased we were with Becky and Spoiled Rotten. The ladies in the office were attentive and flexible with our changing plans and we could not have been more comfortable with Becky. It's such a relief to not have to uproot the animals everytime we leave town. After years of not going away because of not trusting anyone to care for our dog (my anxiety, since once we did leave her with a friend and our dog ran off), we used Spoiled Rotten a few years ago, and have called them ever since when we go out of town for a few days or a couple of weeks. All of our providers have been pleasant, professional, prompt, fastidious and, most importantly, our dog is overjoyed when she sees them. Communicating through text messages every day eased our minds, and when we came home our dog was happy and nicely brushed, which was a pleasant surprise. Book Spoiled Rotten! I am very overprotective of my cat and my home, but our sitters came over to meet us for the initial meet and greet and it put me at ease. Joann and Nicci were both so kind and did a wonderful job taking care of my cat. I received daily texts on how she was doing and they left me a more detailed log on the table of what she did that day during the visit. I loved it! Not only that but her litter was perfectly clean and they had even swept the floor near her box so she wasn't tracking dust everywhere. There you'll see a link "6 other reviews that are not currently recommended". It will lead you to six Five Star reviews that Yelp's software has decided are biased and probably fake. What a crock of sheet. I am a very happy customer of Spoiled Rotten and do not have any personal knowledge of the owner or financial stake in their success or failure. What I do have is a disdain and loathing for the fact that people like Glenna L. and Stacia W. can post negative comments yet I, who have used pet sitters around the world cannot express my complete satisfaction with what I consider excellent service, very caring sitters and a professionally run operation. Interesting that no negative reviews end up in the trash file. I'm sure this one will never see the light o day but in cad sit does, my recommendation is to contact Spoiled Rotten directly and make up your own mind. Spoiled Rotten Pet Sitting is a great company. I am very cautious as to who watches my dogs. After reading reviews about this company I decided to give them a try. I have now used their services 4 or 5 times and I am very happy with the pet sitter who comes to my home. Robyn stays overnight as this is what works for me. Spoiled Rotten Pet Sitting worked hard to find someone on their staff who would be able to travel to the Eatonville area and I could not be happier. I have used other kennels (several of them do not have staff on site 24 hours a day, and if something happened...), neighbors (although they are kind I hated to always rely on my neighbors and my dogs got bored being outside all day and night and became destructive) and I have hired young adults/teens (not always reliable and not paying attention to details, left the house in a mess). I like that you have several options to choose from as to what type of service works for you. Paying is easy and communication with your pet sitter and the staff at Spoiled Rotten Pet Sitting is top notch. I highly recommend this company and I am picky! read more
