Recently took my family here for a birthday celebration. All adults. Arrived around 6:30 PM on a Saturday. Some of the staff are friendly, some are not so much. The bartender looked like he was completely over it, and his face was frozen in a frown. The bowling itself was great, however, the prices are very steep. $50+ per lane per hour. A party if 4 can bowl about 1 1/2 games during that time, even if they're hustling and not wasting time. Cleanliness left a lot to be desired. The floors were sticky with multiple spilled drinks dried and not cleaned up in a timely fashion. Made walking in bowling shoes a challenge. Food was OK. Not the worst bowling alley, not the best. We enjoyed bowling, although the lanes are shorter and the bowling ball does not return after each turn, at least on our lane. The screen and second game stopped before we finished. I enjoyed myself, I'm glad I came and si would go back but I would not do a few things. First things first the staff was very nice, and helpful! The only thing was when one of my friends called they stated each person could pay when they came and we could have the two lanes before the full party arrived. When we got there we were told by a female the full party had to be there and we had to pay for everyone bowling up front not one by one, so I wish that was a little more coordinated. It wasn't too much of a hassle but it was a random work thing so it would be nice to have an option for people to pay individually. The bartender was very nice and patient as I knew inside ge was probably annoyed! They only had him working a FULL bar, ordering food getting drinks, there are no staff that assist as waiters to take the stress off the bartender and the second bar was closed (and dirty, drinks piled up)! I think it would be smart to have two bartenders and one or two waiters or staff to go around to tables and lanes to see if anyone needs or is missing things ! We had to walk away from the lanes a lot and due to there being one bartender it took extremely long to get orders in. He handled it very well and I wish i could have tipped him but didn't receive my receipt when I got my card back. Overall I think the location is worth the price but they should consider fixing the monitors at the lanes to allow people to order, have more than one bartender/waiter, definitely have more than one pool table, and for goodness sakes please clean the lanes before people go there ! The seats were dirty and food was on the floor. The game are was nice though, they have some good games so I'd come back for that and the Photo Booth, the games were cheap so we got to play a lot for $20. This could be a great place for adults and kids, maybe have an adult night if you don't already and clean it up! We hosted a teen's birthday party at Splitz over the weekend. The 'booked party' experience was so much better than the times we've been there to bowl as a family (without booking a party). From the moment we arrived, Dana (our party hostess) ushered us to the party area and immediately assisted us with setting things up. The party space was very clean and private. Dana already had the draped table set up with party favors! Tristan set our bowlers up on the board so they could start bowling. Dana was very accommodating, we never had to go looking for her, we didn't need to ask for anything; she just knew what we'd need and when to have it set out. It's not cheap, 1.5 hours of bowling, 2 drink pitchers, 2 pizzas, party favors and a $5.00 arcade card (for each of our 10 kids) was over $400! 18% gratuity is automatically added to your bill but when you go to pay, there's an additional gratuity for the party hostess. The 18% automatic gratuity isn't for the hostess, it's split between all the workers. The 2nd gratuity is specifically for your hostess! It's not the hostess's fault, this is bad management in my opinion. Gratuity should be for the wait staff only, we shouldn't be subsidizing payroll for the entire staff. When a customer tips, it's to thank THEIR wait staff for a job well done (if a certain tip amount is a requirement, it should be included in the actual price). You'll end up tipping 30-35% on top of the total cost of your party so keep that in mind when booking. Dana was worth it to us but understandably, this additional, unexpected expense may throw some people off their budget. read more

Organized a Family night out event here and was extremely disappointed. While we were able to get a lane quickly (which is a rarity on the weekend). Once finding our designated lane, it was unclean, meaning hadn't been wiped down or cleaned at all, I'm talking French fries on the seats. Also, the lane next to us had their kids sitting on our lane so we had to politely ask them to move. Bathrooms were dingy and unclean as well. Food was cold and greasy. I attended a birthday party for a friend at Splitz on a Friday night. I arrived at 7 PM and went to the bar while I waited for my friends to arrive. I was greeted by a bartender very quickly. I ordered a Samuel Adams Summer Ale, sliders and a side salad. Five minutes after I ordered my food I saw my friends already had a bowling lane. The bartender advised that was no problem he would have my food delivered to the lane. My food arrived in about 20 minutes. I loved the sauteed onions on the burger! The buns were a little too hard. I don't mind them a little toasted but these were too toasted. The fries were tasty. The salad was fresh but I wasn't a fan of the Italian dressing as it was a little too thick. I tried my friends chicken tender and loved them! I would suggest the chicken tenders over the sliders. I'm glad I left my tab open at the bar because our waitress started disappearing for periods of time. So I would go to the bar and order my drinks. I loved that the bartender came by to make sure I received my food. My friends and I had a great time. Splitz was very accommodating to our large party. They allowed us to bring in a birthday cake. First out starting in Gainesville. The old circuit city building no longer but now an over sized adult play station. My son wanted to come here so curiosity got me, so we came. Upon walking in the front is pretty bland and kind a boring! The arcade is all card driven. Games selection is ok, but not spectacular. Prices on games is average. We were not greeted even though there were three people at the front so we kinda guessed what we needed to do. This is a combination of an arcade, bowling alley and bar. The bowling alley is lit up and mega television screens with several bowling lanes available. Here's where I had my issues. I just wanted a beer and upon going to the bar, they're not extremely busy, but don't see a bartender. Finally she showed up. Nice young lady but it just took forever for a beer. I just thought it would be quick but she didn't let me know that the keg needed changing till I went to ask what was taking so long. I wound up going with bottle beer. Very upscale bowling alley compared to the ones I have been to in the past. Severely understaffed, but everybody was rather friendly! The food is ridiculously priced! Chicken tenders with fries was $14.95, and you get three chicken tenders. This is not a kids meal... actual meal on their menu. I'll be back for the bowling and arcade, but definitely eat ahead of time. Also, warning if you're getting beer at the bar, the lines are warm. Went there to drink and play games with my friends Friday about 9:30 PM. Noticed it was much slower than the last time we were here a few months ago. There was four of us, so we sat at the end of the bar near the cash register and waited for 10 minutes. No one ever came to check on us. There were two bartenders ignoring us so my friend went to grab one and she got an attitude and said if we wanted service, we needed to all come over and sit by her. There were a few people at the bar with one to two seats between them so we would've had to all split up to satisfy her. That's not how customer service is supposed to work. Walk your lazy ass to the other end of the bar and do your job! It was not busy at all and she had plenty of time to sit around, so I don't understand where all the attitude came from. We tried to go to the other bar and get our drinks on the other side of the building, but they were so slow that it wasn't open. Gave up and went to leader boards and had a great time over there instead. Drinks were good and no attitude whatsoever from the bartenders at Leader boards. no wonder this place is losing business with customer service like this. Little short woman with very short hair and a short temper scaring off business because she don't want to work. Absolutely amazing - thank you SO much Lyall! We had my mini-me's 11th birthday here - got the angry birds package and added a chicken tender platter and an hour in the birthday room- despite the place being understaffed and packed to capacity, our party host, Lyall(Lial?) was the most attentive, accommodating, and hilarious server! We had an amazing time. The facilities were clean, and the GM, Deedee, was so sweet and accommodating with our requests to adjust the party to adapt to the change in headcount, including adjusting how the arcade cards were split up - we paid for 10 kids and ended up with 3 at the end of the night (and when the system to do so was down, she went as far as adding cards so we could split them between the kids evenly!). Lyall even went so far as operating laser tag so the kiddos and parents could run around for 15 minutes and have a blast! We'll worth the money, and my mini will forever cherish this experience! read more

This place is very unorganized. We reserved a birthday party, and upon arriving and decorating the room, it turned out the party before wasn't finished. The manager tried to blame my wife for the confusion instead of admitting their mistake. She was told by the employee at the desk that she could start decorating the room. It caused a scene between us and the people before that shouldn't have happened. We decided to have the party elsewhere. I'm done with this place for good! Came for my son's birthday. Didn't get the party package because it was only 6 kids. The bartender held our cake and their fridge. Everything was going good, happy birthday had been sung and cleaning was taking place, until, my son's grandmother, who baked him sweets as part of his gift. The female manager with the nose ring, sent the smallest teenager employee to come tell us we had to leave because outside food is not allowed... let the little guy know we are packing up, if we put it in the car, will that resolve the issue? No, you guys can't have food or drinks. My husband goes to ask for the manager to speak. Money has been spent and we were going to spend more. The employees in the front asked us why. Are you serious? We just wanted to get the situation understood, so the kids can end the night with games. The manager comes and just makes it worst. I asked her where is it posted that we can't have outside food?( even though no one other than the one brownie I took out, was eating them). She goes and says " if you can read they are posted everywhere". First, insulting one's intelligence is a no no! Secondly, no it's not, it's in a little sign outside the door, that also says we are supposed to be wearing masks due to Covid ( which not even staff was doing or anyone else, but a brownie is what you're mad about). All other are about bowling shoes outside the bowling area. We were literally cleaning our table and getting ready to leave that area, spent the money for bowling and food, we were going to spend about $200 more on games alone and were going to buy a couple more rounds of drinks. The manager needs training and learn how de escalate issues. The staff, well they are teenagers being teenagers at work, what can you do! Situation could've been solved by hearing us out, understanding on both sides, and just for next time, so you know. A family friendly place should not result in cussing. I came in to bowl with my family and they put us with another group of teenagers who were licking their fingers and touching the balls we were using then we asked for them to put the rails down and they said no because they we're stuck. Now when we were paying nothing was said about the condition of this lane. We paid full price and as you know this place isn't cheap. Didn't completely ruin our night although it does affect the game greatly we were able to get over it. But if you're looking for good customer service GO ELSEWHERE.
