We got an estimate to perform a certain amount of work in a 7 hour time period. About half way through the project, the head woodsman, Alex, told me that they would be finishing early. They offered to prorate the cost if they finished early.. However, they would be happy to work the entire 7 hours if i could find a little more for them to do. I pointed out a few more trees that i wanted removed and they did the job cheerfully. They cleaned up an area that was very difficult to access. In addition, they worked so efficiently that they were able to cut all of the logs into fireplace length sections. The bottom line is that they completed more than the contracted work on time and within the estimated budget. The crew got along well and we were exceeding pleased with the work and the cost of their services. The cleanup after was excellent. If we need more work in the future we will certainly go with Splintered Forest and we will recommend them to our neighbors. read more

Spintered Forest just finished our fire mitigation work, which included cutting, shredding, trimming and hauling away all logs and residue. The experience was wonderful from start to finish. Brad is a specialist and walked our property with us, educating about forest health in the process of deciding what trees needed to be cut or trimmed. His crew and their work,were incredible. They were on-time, efficient, respectful and helpful throughout. They cleaned up debris as they worked and left our property safer and even more beautiful as a result of their work. The cost was reasonable and this company is bonded and insured. We had 2 large pine trees that we wanted removed from a fenced in yard in the foothills. To remove them they had to lift them up and over a 6 foot retaining wall, covered pavilion, power lines and through other existing trees. The gentlemen who showed up to do the job were polite and professional. The job was done safely and efficiently. When done they left our property looking beautiful. The men who came out to take down a large limb from our tree today did a very prorfessional job. When they got here they went right to work. When they left they had our lawn/driveway/street looking like nothing had taken place - they cleaned up so good after themselves. This was what the job entailed after the site survey and explaining what I wanted. 1) Cut off and remove - 2 cotton woods, 1 catalpa and 1 silver maple in front yard - cut to low stump 2) Remove bushes along S fence line in front yard (leave bush in corner near house) 3) Grind Stump (they went almost double the depth that they quoted me because they wanted to make sure the dead trees would not grow back). They surpassed my expectations. They were extremely professional, knowledgeable, and studious in their work and clean up. The icing on the cake was that they did this for $1250 less than any of the competition wanted to charge. I would highly recommend them to anyone that needs tree removal.
