I'm hooked on these things. I have to stop for one every time I see them, even if I just ate. And I never regret it. They serve Mexican Fruit Cups with your choice of 3 fruits--Mango, Watermelon, & Pineapple were our choices. Next time we'll probably sub Jicama to cut back on the sweetness...but this was still really good. The mango however was a couple days from Ripe, which I cried about for a few mins but then got over it. This kiosk gets crowded with customers as well as people there to watch them slice and dice the fruits like experts. It's basically like watching a real life version of Fruit Ninja...which I'm all for. $5 for the Fruit Cup is a bit on the expensive side. That price would make more sense at Valley Fair or Santana Row, but this is the Great Mall. You feel me? read more

I bought number 9 which in the picture has cucumber in it . so when I got my order . it didn't have cucumber in it. which for me wasn't a big deal.. my wife was pregnant and she nicely asked for cucumber and they said that the picture is old version and we don't add cucumber , and I asked If I can get cucumber and I'm ok to pay extra since we saw it with cucumber , but another teenager boy yelled at me and wife and said " what the f*** you are talking about , this one doesn't have it" he repeated multiply times and I tried to ask him to be calm but he increased his voice and turned into a nightmare, I asked them if possible to talk to a manager or supervisor who can make him calm , but he showed me one of the workers over there and said that's the manager. but that guy he was just looking at him and said nothing. because my wife was pregnant, I didn't want to continue argue with him. because that guy couldn't understand even one of my words, so I just walked away, my wife was crying and was the worst experience I've ever had with my wife in shopping . New stand that opened up at the great mall. They serve fruits and mango on a stick with the tajin all over it. They also sell the pork rinds with Valentina's and other Mexican goodies. I got the fruit cup and you get to pick what you want. They added more tajin without any extra costs and the service is pretty quick. The fruits that I got were all ripe, fresh and clean. This is a cash only place but the prices are reasonable. I would stop by here to get my fix every time it go to the great mall. Finally a nice healthier alternative to snacking! read more

Okay so this is my update, this place is always full even when the mall is about to close. I like their drinks here they have great mango here. One thing I don't like is that they aren't very clean! So if u can see past that then this is a good place for a good treat. A example of why they aren't clean is because one of the workers had a hands free device on the side of his head and while he was about to cut some fruit he felt as if the device was slipping and he quickly fixed it in place and he continued cutting my fruit with the same gloves he touched his head gear with that's not right he should of changed his plastic gloves to new ones! When u are here pay a lot of attention to the workers do not get distracted by the crowd around u! Just a warning for any clean people out there. The guy who was serving fruits Is the worst and worst behaved person I have come across. I was picking up fruit container and some fruit fell out. He used the word literally "she did shit on the glass". It was unbelievable what I heard. This worker is too young to be working there. I recommend they hire more mature people who can give better customer service. I will avoid going there just because of this treatment I received today. read more

This place is so good. It reminds me about the fruit stands on the streets of East Los Angeles, but the food is so clean and the presentation looks as if they belong in a nice restaurant. You know this place is authentic because most of the foods are served with the staple condiments of Mexican food: lime and chili. Of course, you can get the regular fruit cup and chili is optional. My favorites are the two Mexican fruit drinks at the end of the menu. Both are spicy, sour, sweet and savory. The straws come laced all around with spicy Mexican tamarind candy. There's so much flavor and it's so satisfying as you're walking around the mall while taking sips of these drinks. read more

Great mall gets super busy ! Especially this place ! I love fresh fruits , seeing the workers cutting up the fruits and making my mangoada I just can't wait to get my hands on them Mangonada !!! Was my first time so I was a bit skeptical .. Over all if you like Spicey food and fresh fruit and adventurous with food try the Mangonada . I've been to 4 places just THIS WEEK on a search for the best mangonada in the Bay Area. Now, I don't know what an original mangonada is supposed to take like but based on my 4 visits to 4 different locations, this one has to be my least favorite. I was expecting some mango ice cream topped with mango, chili, and that yummy sauce. To my disappointment, I walked away with iced liquid topped with mangos, chili, and that yummy sauce. :-( Not worth my money, nor should it be yours. I wanted to try mangonada for the first time because I hear it's just mango ice cream with mango chunks and some type of mexican sauce. The one I got from here was disgusting and nothing like I expected. It was just crushed ice with this reddish chili sour sauce, chunks of unsweetened mangoes, hot sauce, and lots of tajin powder. Whoever thinks this is good is lying!! There's better mangonadas elsewhere. I couldn't finish it and threw it away and that's the first time I ever threw away food/drinks. Everything we ordered was great and all but customer service is horrible. As much as my family and I like their churros preparados, the customer service doesn't make us want to come back. We asked the older guy preparing the churros to put mango on it (since we had asked for it at the register) and he has the worst attitude saying it's a dollar extra, which is fine, but he kept asking the guy at the register if in fact we had asked for mango. First and for most people are so rude am allergic to pork and this gurl decides she didn't wana give me refund she started giving me attitude over a refund .. however I work at a hair salon and if someone doesn't like their service .. we refund them and we're talking talking about 100 dollars plus etc .... .... her name was Valeria and she has a vulgar attitude ... she was literally arguing with me about the 6.50 ... I had a bad experience with an employee here. I was walking towards this stand, wanting a mangonada, pushing my 3 week old baby in a stroller. On my way over, I slipped on some nearby liquid. I walked up to the stand asking a female employee if she could help me call your security or someone to help clean up the mess so one else slips over it, and her response was "It's not our problem." Clearly she has no morals. I told her that I have a baby in a stroller and what if the baby slipped, and she repeated her response. I called my partner because I was so upset, and he spoke to another female employee. Her response was the same. I wasn't asking them to do extra work, I was asking them to be moral and help other human beings out. I don't work for the mall, but I stood there next to the spilled liquid, and told people to watch out. I did see a little girl slip, but yet still a few people at this fruit stand don't care. I had trouble finding Guest Services at this mall, and just had to do a Google search and call them myself. It's been about 5 days now and my ass still hurts. Not only am I still recovering from giving birth to my baby girl, I now still have to worry about the pain on my butt. I will never give this stand any of my business. read more

I've had the mangonada here and it sucks, it's hard mango chunks, ice and that red chamoy sauce. Wasn't really edible, my kids ate the mangos and I threw the rest away. This review is specifically for the fruit cup. There are two of these fruit stands in the mall. One in front of Banana a Republic and one past Old Navy. Even though I've seen this type of fruit since I was a kid growing up in the East San Jose area, I've only recently tried it.... and I really like it! I've also gained more of a appreciation of it because I tried to make it at home and it just wasn't as good. The fruit cup here is super juicy (obviously, I guess) and full of flavor and textures. Although I was skeptical, the line and dash of Tajin really bring the fruit to another level. I always just choose all the fruit/vegetables. Although my favorites are the papaya, mango and watermelon, I feel that getting the whole assortment rounds out the fruit cup and prevents it from being overly sweet. A large fruit cup is huge and big enough to share. I also like getting this since I feel like it's a healthy way to satisfy both sweet and savory cravings. Unfortunately it's hard to find a place to sit since there are only two tables available but you can just walk to the food court and eat it there. Also, the mall can get crowded to it may be a bit cumbersome even getting to the fruit stand. read more

I'm not a huge fan of the Great Mall, but something I would always look forward to is the Splash Fruits stand. I used to love their mangonada! The perfect proportions of salty, sour and sweet. Plus, huge portion sizes. But my recentmost visit, which was a couple weeks ago, I grabbed a regular-sized mangonada before hitting up Dave and Buster's. To my surprise and dismay, they seem to have changed their recipe for it. They've added real tamarind at the bottom of the cup, and have apparently decreased the amount of chamoy/hot sauce in their mix, so everything tastes much, much sweeter than it used to. I'm super bummed out as I'm not a big fan of overwhelming sweetness in my mangonadas. But, I'll still be back whenever I'm shopping to try their other items, such as their esquites and diablitos! read more

We waited 30 minutes after 30 I don't like that place it's really bad after waiting 30 minutes I asked about my order they were not able to locate it and thought they lost it then realized it was in front of them they were on number 45 I was number 40 they don't follow numerical order they skip people long waitLong wait long line not worth it been 30 minutes of my life there and that was a waste to not go here it's hell they suck!!! If i can give a negative zero stars I would.. i just bought a 7 dollar cup of fruit.. papaya and mango.. they were f*** unedible the papaya were bitter obviously unripe and the mango were hard as stone .. since the cup was still full, we tried to ask them nicely if we can get a replacement of maybe some ripe fruits.. they say said they can't change it because the fruits are just gonna go to garbage!! Well we pretty much threw the whole cup of fruit in the garbage.. who would eat a crap like that.. very bad customer service, they don't care about customer's satisfaction they just care about the money and gives bad quality of fruits and service.. BEWARE!! The last time I visited, I ordered the usual mangonada. My problem is that there were flies flying all over the fruit. I wanted mangonada so bad that all i can do was hope the flies wouldn't land on the mangos even though I knew the flies probably already were all over the mangos before I showed up. The last straw was when the person making the snacks tried to catch the flies with his hand! The same hand he use to put the fruit in the cup! I remembered thinking is he for real? I was appalled! He did this in front of a customer. I can only imagine how they handle the food in private! I was so disgusted I asked for a refund! It's a shame because the mangonada was good but never again will I ever go to that fruit stand! I'm not compromising my health for a mangonada I can always buy somewhere else where they have good practice on handling food. I can only imagine where else the flies might have been! Ewwww! read more
