I get my car washed pretty frequently and I've noticed that none of the automatic car washes are particularly good at getting vehicles clean. I actually wonder why the technology hasn't improved over the years. Seems simple enough that if something doesn't work well, you tweak it and make it better. At least most industries do. Not the automatic car wash industry evidently because we'll just keep coming by spending our money for an almost clean ride. Splash Express is by far the worst automatic car wash that I've used in several years though. The staff is friendly enough but the actual wash tunnel does not even begin to come close to cleaning your car. There were at least 3 or 4 of the brushes that didn't even touch my car on the right side. I'm used to a little dirt left over on my side mirrors and maybe a little dead center on the back of the car but this was terrible. I had leftover dirt on almost every panel and I say almost because I think that the roof was actually clean. I even ponied up the $20 for their best offered wash and this is what I get for my money? No thank you! They do offer free vacuums after your wash but they might want to stop that because it gives the customer time to see how dirty their car still is. I can't even say that if I had gone through multiple times that it would get any better. Do yourself a favor and wash your car at home. The investment is much lower and the job should get done right. read more

5 stars! Stopped here to get a car wash after driving 17 states cross country. Easy entrance off the freeway. Several choices for the level of the wash you want. Precleaning done by hand with 2 workers-one on each side. That helps get extra clean!!! Quick wash and (here's the best part) FREE vacuums. Drive in slots so you can use a vacuum on BOTH sides without having to move your car or reach around the other side. It's those little things in life that are wonderful. Highly recommend!! read more

I got the secretariat wash. The 1st time thru the front and passenger side were still dirty. The guys were very nice about a rewash. Dried my car in the parking lot. The front and passenger side were better. The tire shine is non-existent, and the wheels were hardly touched. It's deffinatly not a premium wash. For those just passing through on a road trip as we are, this is a very convenient car wash located pretty much just down the road across from the Costco Fuel station . This COSTCO also has great snacks if you wander thru! This is a drive thru car wash where you stay in your car as it gets pulled along by a track that includes a good heated dry. They do have vacuums if you need them. Pull up to the payment stand and ignore the request for a coupon and just touch your selected wash. Pricing today was $9 $11 $14 $18. I chose the $11 because not knowing how good the wash will be, I didn't want wax applied over left behind road grime. There is a pre-pre wash applied personally by the attendant who gets you lined up. Remember to remove your foot from the brakes Depending on what wash you choose, lots of pretty colors of soap are sprayed and lots of brushes attack you from various directions. It seems quite effective and thankfully removed the hard water spots we picked up, having parked next to sprinklers watering an alfalfa field with obviously hard water. THAT was the primary reason we were washing the car! If we'd been certain this brush and rag wash would have removed those spots, we'd have upgraded to add some wax but the $11 wash did a great job even without wax. I will from now on wash at home as I have discovered that is the most thorough and safest for paint. No matter what wash I get there is always still dirt / mud stuck underneath the wheel wells and other places. I also have seen small amounts of soap left as the rinse is probably not super efficient. They don't put a single drop of extra water on to ensure it's rinsed that's for sure. Touch less car washes really leave a ton of suds behind so it is an improvement here. I see swirl marks / scratches in my brand new truck but can't prove that was from them, but it was. read more

I tried calling them and emailing them to deal with an issue I had involving their unauthorized auto renewal of a wash package. I gave them 24 hours no response. While their employees are nice and engaging whoever deals with complaints apparantly has no interest in their customers hence the single star. For those that see this I have contacted my bank since the carwash has not responded. I gave them a chance and they failed to respond. read more

I went to the Splash Express Car Wash at 1110 S. 64th Avenue, Yakima, WA at 3:30 on February 2, 2022. The female attendant guided me into the car wash and then gave a one second squirt from a sprayer to my windshield. That was it, no pre-wash to the sides of the vehicle or rear of the vehicle. My vehicle emerged dirty. I drove around to the entrance; a male attendant came out and told me after market accessories were to blame??? What after market accessories? He told me to run it through again for free. The same female attendant and once again a squirt at the windshield. Once again still dirty upon emerging. If Splash Express Car Wash were to simply spray the entire vehicle with pre-wash my vehicle would have not came out dirty two times. The Splash Express Car Wash at 1201 Market Street, Union Gap, WA., sprays the entire vehicle with pre-wash and then uses a brush on the rear of the vehicle and sides as well. I don't know why the 64th Avenue car wash doesn't do the same. Very unacceptable, I got the impression I was putting the female attendant out for guiding me in then the squirt. I now will have to go to another car wash to get my vehicle clean. read more

Now I have been a customer with this car wash for at least 10-12 months over the past couple of years. I have had a good experience in the past and will say honestly that they are not the business that they started out to become. First off, I love keeping my car clean and I border but find it not possible anymore with their equipment and machines. Scratches... Now I know this isn't a "touchless" car wash as the side cleaners are starting to scratch up my car like crazy! Their equipment is smacking up into my car and has even cause chips in the paint, all be it small but still there. I am also getting so many fine scratches that I fear my paint job on my car won't last and will look like a cat attacked it unless I get it repaired professionally. Wheel cleaner... I pay for their nicest wash cycle and the first year I went there it would clean my tires and wheels perfectly but now all I see is a partial wheel clean. Which makes me think they change the was I receive. Wash cycle... I pay very close attention to what cycle I get and know that on more times than I like they seemed to have either run out of soaps and cleaner or they have completely changed and downgraded the wash I received. Vaccum... Now again at first they worked great, now there is so much garbage a "things" stuck in the hoses that you can barely get any suction out if the tubes. To find an employee for help is impossible. Customer Service... Now if you are a pretty woman they will Ben over backwards to help you, say hi and spend a great deal of extra time washing your car before it goes into the machine but for a guy they could care less, no acknowledgement of customer loyalty or anything if the sort anymore. I know they think people don't listen but the employees constant bad mouthing if customers and foul language at times had made me cancel my subscription or so I thought... They have a you must cancel 10 days before the end of the month policy. Fine, I can do that. Therefore I decided to ask 1 month before my subscription was to end for them to cancel it, not one to make a big scene I was polite about it, they took down my information and assured me they would cancel it. Now halfway through the month I asked if they had for sure canceled my subscription and so they took down my information and assured me it was canceled. Now at the start if the new month I look on my credit card to find out they Charged me Again!!! Come on?! I guess we will see how they handle this as I am no longer a happy customer. In summary, if you don't mind scratching your car like crazy, being ignored (unless you are a beautiful woman), vaccum's that don't work, paying a high price for a low quality wash and risking them charging your credit card more than they should then you are nuts for even considering this company, but if you don't believe me, try it out for yourself and you'll see. *new addition in response to comment* I did not respond after being in contact and talking to various employees multiple times. I have no way of knowing who is a manager and was first assured that I would get the refund. Why should I have to contact an owner to resolve this issue? Then by recommendation of my credit card company I should leave it to them to be fixed and in order to get my refund. Which works for me because if a company can't fix these issues after a couple of times being asked why would I trust them with my credit card number. Now what you need to know is that there is a lot more than the refund to my review. But all of the employee behavior, equipment, and other before mentioned. read more

Decent wash quality and free vacuums. One star off for lagging behind the best, which in my experience is Washman on 82nd Av in Portland. That car wash has a double set of brush rigs and double dryers blowing at medium force, so they don't rip off the weatherstripping. Plus an actual towel wipe at the end. It is my mark of excellence and I shall judge all car washes in the world by it. Splash wash is a single-length so wash quality is merely passable and the blow-dryer vibrates the roof hard enough to rip it off the welds if u don't hold it with your hand. Free vacuums somewhat make up for that shortcoming. I would not bring a colorful classic car here, but for a normal drab dust buster that needs a vacuuming Splash is good enough. read more

$9 for a good basic wash job. But, I really like the fact you can use the vacuums as part of the fee. Like any automated wash, they don't do a great job of drying, so, bring your towel just to finish off the job. A big reason why I gave them a "5" is that the last trip in, their machine tore off my rear window wiper blade. I called to question them on it, and, within a day they had reviewed their videos confirming it was on my car when I entered, and made arrangements for the replacement. Very cool when a company stands behind its product. They didn't buy my loyalty - they earned it. Kudo's. read more

I won't go to any other carwashes in Yakima. These guys have offered to let me go through twice, free of charge the second time, if my car is extremely dirty. They hand out cold water bottles to customers on very hot days. Not to mention the free vacuums after your car wash are available and always amazing. You're seriously missing out if you do not go to splash. read more
