L.P. Body Shop has some of the best pricing in town on spray-in bed liners. I used to have a Line-X, which I liked - but they aren't availalbe in Yakima. After doing a ton of research, I decided that a "bullhide" spray in liner was the one for me. This is a cold-applied material, so it has a similar consistency to 'rhino-lining' material. It has a rubber feel with some non-skid properties. In a few weeks that I've had it, I've like the non-skid properties that allows you to put things in the back and not have them roll around. The only thing I don't like about it is the texture that looks like water drops. It's hard to tell when the liner is actually wet, but this is a pretty minor concern!
I spent some time talking with the installer to find out what sort of preparation he does. It varies widely from Scotch-Brite pads up to sandpaper. I was informed they prep it with 80 grit sandpaper, which is great to hear! The entire installation takes quite a bit longer than some of the other methods. It's around 6 or 7 hours from start to finish. After they send it down they clean it off and put on a primer material before the final coating is applied.
They finished it just in time for me to pick it up at the end of the day. I did have to leave the tailgate down for 24 hours and could not use the bedliner for 72 hours, but it's worked great since then! I highly recommend L.P. body shop for your bedliner needs! read more
