Fantastic car wash!! I used to get my car washed at Russell's but I'm 1000% switching over here. They have amazing customer service. The people here are so welcoming and answered all of my questions well. I stopped by the oil change station and the guy there gave me a coupon they had laying around. Their unlimited full service comes with a thorough exterior wash w/ undercarriage, windows, and interior vacuum. Once you drop it off, you can sit inside the building and watch your car go through. It'll be hand dried and vacuumed after. My first time there, I got the unlimited full service for about $21. It'll probably go up in price, but it's totally worth the high quality service in my opinion. I could not recommend this place more. Thank yall for all of your hard work. read more

It seems many others have had the same experience that I'm about to share. I was signed up for a membership after a single car wash at this business. I was not asked, notified or consenting to a monthly subscription and yet I was charged for it exactly one month after receiving the service. After calling the business directly, I was redirected to their corporate office because they "cannot process refunds at the store." The woman on the phone even seemed to know exactly why I was calling, hence the countless reviews recounting the same issue. To the "owner" responding to all of these reviews, it is clear that this is an intentional and illegal practice being conducted by your business. I've read your copy and pasted replies about "transparency" and "costumer service." If those were genuine replies, wouldn't you have made efforts to solve the issue? You might not be aware but this is actually a growing issue nationwide that the FTC has taken note of and started to investigate. So much so that they have made it extremely easy to report this shady, illegal practice. I'm sure this yelp page alone will be a good starting point when they start looking into you. read more

Sadly, my new car hadn't had s wash since I got it 11 months ago. My grands got football mud and chalk dust all over the back seat. They did an amazing job and my beautiful guy looks great again 7/22. Update I sadly had to come home and clean my rims myself. They weren't wiped clean and had dirty water streaks. The inside wasn't vacuumed as nice as usual And, good thing I looked at my receipt because the man was selling me an $80 car wash. Please boycott this establishment! They signed my elderly and disabled mother up for monthly car washes. She doesn't live in CT. And they have continually charged her account, despite numerous requests to stop. This has been ongoing for six months. read more

Beware!!! Back last month went to get car wash and employee offered one month unlimited car wash for $19. I questioned if this definitely was one time charge and was told yes. Well it was not. I got charged $39.34 for membership monthly fee. I did not agree to this in fact questioned this before making purchase. Went to store spoke to girl there who cancelled membership and said reimbursement would be made within 10 days that was on February 17th. To date no reimbursement has been received in my bank account. Left message at consumer service number today. When I looked on Yelp after this happened it has happened to others at this same locations. Not good business practice. Beware!! read more

I went to Splash to get my oil changed. I was a loyal customer. After I received my oil change, I drove about 400 miles & my car stopped on the side of the highway. I got it towed to a mechanic that was walking distance from my house b/c, with not having a car, it makes it difficult to get around. The mechanic called me immediately and told me that there was no oil drain plug. I'm not a mechanic but he said that they most likely put it on but didn't tighten it enough. I called splash and was unable to get an answer, but it was late in the business day & they do get very busy. I spoke to some who worked there and explained what happened. I was called by the manager of the Hamden location & told to come down at a specific time. After about half hour of waiting he took me to the back of the shop & tried to show me a video of the mechanics working on my car, which caused more frustration b/c I am not a mechanic, & I told him that I would rather have a copy of the video to have for my records so that I could go over the video with someone else who knew what they were looking at. I was denied. After an hour and a half total of being there I was given a piece of paper that had the district managers name on it. So after being there & waiting so long, the remedy was to give me a piece of paper. I could have been called for that. The district manager spoke to me and mentioned how it was basically my fault for not taking my vehicle to them after I stalled out on the highway. He mentioned how 'it doesn't look very good' for me b/c I had taken the vehicle to another mechanic & this goes against their warranty. ******* My insurance doesn't cover this b/c it falls under mechanic neglect and that is not covered by my insurance. ******* SO.. I have been out of a vehicle; catching rides, & taking lifts. This is problematic b/c I am not in a position to spend $60 Monday- Saturday on a transportation service. That's $360 dollars a month. I have moved in with my girlfriend b/c she takes me to work and picks me up now to save money. We work two different shifts and on top of that I work a split shift. So just in the last month, we have put close to a 1-2 thousand miles on her car. Besides her waking up at 4:30am and taking me into work this is taking a toll on us b/c we are both Christians. * we are not suppose to live together until married.* this is killing us financially (spending money on gas) her physically (waking up at 4:30 & not being able to enjoy her work break b/c she's driving me around for work) and both of us spiritually!!! ( not suppose to live together until married) I do not have a car. There is oil all over the street at my house and my job & I am being told that it 'doesn't look too good' just b/c I took it to another mechanic, not realizing the warranty. I have been a loyal customer ever since I moved into the area from Colorado. and now I am just fed up. I don't have a car. I had to cover the expenses at the mechanic. I'm wasting so much money & mentally I am just drained. I can't even get a new car b/c I owe money on this car and I cannot have two car loans. IM PAYING FOR A CAR I CANT EVEN DRIVE. This is BY FAR one of the worst situations I have been in. I want to be covered and I would like Splash as a whole to take responsibility and make me whole in my sufferings. I paid 32.00 for a good cleaning of my car. The windows only partially cleaned, especially the inside windshield. The outside still had bug debris on it. The dash had a swipe across, not cleaned at all, neither were the gear shift or cup holder area. The only part that was decent was the machine wash. Doubt very much I'll return here. read more

The worst experience of my life dealing with a racist Splash Manager! Today, I was not having the best day, but I decided to relax and wash my car. I've been a Splash monthly member for years and I have been relatively happy with their service. However, this all changed today. I pulled into Splash, Hamden, and I heard someone yell something to me as I pulled up to the office. I already was prepared to go inside, so I parked next to the office and got out of the car. I asked the person that yelled to me, "What happened" and he yelled "slow the f*** down"! I replied, "Don't speak to me unless I speak to you"! Considering, if he felt my speed was unacceptable, there is a right way to speak to an adult/loyal paying customer, but I also knew, I was not speeding. I went to turn around to go inside, then he yelled, "If you don't f***ing like it, I will kick you the f*** out of here." At this point, I was shacking mad that I was being spoken to in this manner. I yelled back, "Who are you f***ing talking too". I am a small framed African American man, this guy was four-times my size, older, bald and Caucasian. I knew, if I were white, he would have never come at me the way he did from the very beginning. He then walked up, got in my face yelling to the point our noses and bodies touched, and he continued to yell with his spit hitting my face. Trying to maintain control, I gripped my phone in my pocket with the thought of punching this guy dead in his face. I maintained control because I knew, being black, had I done anything inappropriate, I would have been immediately arrested and I know have entirely too much to lose entertaining this loser. One of his colleagues pulled him back and I turned around to go inside. As I approached the building, other employees started apologizing to me saying what he did was uncalled for, and I did not deserve that. I went inside and spoke to a young lady at the desk who called the manager on duty to come to me. She said, she seen and heard an altercation, but she was wrapping up with a customer. She apologized and gave me corporates number. I went home and called the police and filed a report against, Drew - Splash Service Manager. 1. If I were white, he would have never used that tone nor language with me. 2. If he were black or brown and I was white, he would have been called disgruntled and fired on the spot. 3. I felt threatened, and I almost lost control, but glad I did not. 4. I am the New England Regional Manager of a national real estate firm, if any of my employees behaved in this manner, they would have been terminated immediately. I am truly disappointed. I felt totally disrespected and for a moment I didn't even feel safe. He did this to the right person because anyone else would have definitely handled this a lot differently. I went to Splash i Hamden, CT for the $19.95 oil change. I expected to pay a little more because I know that some cars require extra oil. I was told that it would be $79.95 because the car needed synthetic oil. I told him I wanted the $19.95 price but he said that was for "older cars." I told him that I was not paying $79.95 and he said that if I signed a waiver they would put regular oil in the crankcase. I agreed but he came back with "I'm sorry but they have informed me that your car needs a special service wash for an additional $39.95." I asked for my keys back and told him to forget the whole thing but that seemed to upset him and he told me it was only a recommendation. I asked why I he told me it "needs" but he claimed that he didn't say that. I got the $19.95 change and when I drove off I found that the trash and discarded papers on the passenger side floor had been stuffed into my glove compartment. Spiteful. I just left the car wash after I hear a guy say to the rest of his co-workers after he finished poorly shining my windows, my music was off so I could here. "you wouldn't hit that?" Co-workers tried to act oblivious. "Where?" "Her," he said. "Tell me you wouldn't hit that." At least one of them had the sense enough to deflect such disrespectful remarks by saying, "I'll live." My blood was boiling and almost turned back around to tell him to his face what I thought of him. I hope management finds out and fires him. The other guys were so sweet, but God help this guy learn how to respect women. Still so upset I'm almost teary eyed. This generation of men....so so so sad. read more

I paid extra for the armoral for the tires, they told me that it was applied "within the car wash itself" but it wasn't. The tires are still just as dirty. I will not be going back here read more

On May 18,2023 I went to Cheshire location and requested "superior interior". Splash employee informed me the superior interior required purchase of car wash.I left and Texted corporate office Response, " Car wash not required" Several times I asked for a simple solution, call location and educate location on policy. Apparently not an option. 7 days later and not resolved. After years of going to Cheshire location, I will never go back. read more

Decided to give them the benefit of the doubt despite getting my car washed there before and them cresting scuff marks. I went there to get the inside and outside of my car cleaned. First off, I ended up paying more then the guy lead on. Second, I waited maybe an hour or more for my car to be ready. When I checked in at about the half an hour mark, I was told that it would be 20 minutes before they would even start on it. When I finally got my car back, I was unimpressed, I not only found more scuff marks (that they created), but, I found a scratch and parts of the inside of my car were still unclean (pictures attached). Don't waste your time or money at this place. I wish I had the courage to say something when I was there but I don't do confrontation (I'm working on it). Also this was the one in Hamden for reference. I definitely don't plan on going back. The waiting room also had the AC on for some reason....it's not even spring. Not sure how to reply to the owner but I never once spoke to someone regarding this. I never said I was happy. How would boot marks get in the side of my car? Update: I did call and they said to bring it in because they would only refund me if they saw it I'm person. Apparently picture proof wasn't enough? I decided not to go and just take the loss because I didn't wanna risk Corona (it had just gotten really bad). This whole thing has been utterly ridiculous. I use the Norwalk location heavily. I recently relocated and even so I still go to Norwalk/Westport splash. Because "Splash" is splash, I figured the service and attention to detail would be the same in Hamden. I decided to take a chance and try them out with the hope I could make things more convenient. First impression...pull up and the guy tried to tell me that the exact same walk I always get in Fairfield county wad almost $100 more. He then gave me a run around on services and even after it coming to $109 to ssh the car and do interior he tells me... We can't clean the inside or wipe down the dash, websites, choo holders etc because you need to pay an additional$34 on top of what you are paying now. I tell him I do this MONTHLY in Norwalk and it's never more than$150 tidal and they never add on simple expected things with superior inside and outside washes. After a few moments he keeps it at $109. When I inquired about full detail he quoted me an insane inflated price and said in Hamden is more expensive than Westport/Norwalk area. He told me the car should be left and need to come back in five to six hours. That's insanity. I don't know if the guy taking the request for services was conning me (trying to) or if he didn't know what he was doing. The staff at the register was very nice. She tried to find my points program in system but told me the program isn't used across locations. I wad again surpassed because in Norwalk they told me it should fee. So she readded me to Hamden location. The cleaning job result: I drive a jeep. They had one and half guys drying the vehicle so it took forever. Interior: great job. shampooed seats and even got silly putty out of back seat. The interior looks better than what I'm used to from the Norwalk location Exterior: a little disappointed I still see a lot of dead bugs I paid for the more expensive exterior wash with the hope they would at least scrub those off Windows look okay they did Armor All the tires except for the back tire on the back window I had to ask that they clean that one other than that would I go back again yes would I go back for detailing no I would probably stick to Norwalk for external detail if I use Flash for that internal however I do have to say Hamden did a great job read more

Came this past Friday for an oil change. It was customer appreciation weekend and the line was basically out the door. Of course, I must have came at a bad time because by the time it was time for my vehicle to be looked at, I was almost the only one in there. $13 and change for an oil change? Sweet deal! I think normally it would have been close to $25 or $30 due to the amount of oil my Ford Escape consumes. Friendly service at the counter also. From the waiting room you can watch the garage change your oil. Those guys are efficient and don't mess around or slack off. read more

The manager Jessica at the Hamden, CT location on 27 Connolly Pkwy was extremely rude. The point of a car wash is for a consumer to bring their dirty car in for service. She referred to the vehicle as nasty as shit. Granted the outside was covered in dirt. We did not ask for a miracle or for the car to be spotless once the job was complete. One of the workers advised us that we needed to go back around because we didn't receive the brush. So we go back around and Jessica comes back out and says you didn't get the brush because we never do the brush. And says I'm the manager, I don't listen to the employees. Our items were stolen from our vehicle including my fiancé's Ray Ban sunglasses, a military style p coat, phone chargers, my cheap sunglasses, and random other small miscellaneous items. It took a minute to realize our loss considering we did not expect or and we searched every where else possible before contacting the manager. While empathetic, absolutely no constelation was offered. We have been a customer for years, even referred many people, we purchased the 5-star detail often, even though we would need touch-ups upon pick-up for areas being sub-par even missed entirely. The friendly service made it negligible but I cannot condone robbery even more so without any kind of corrective action. read more

The guys at Splash in Hamden hooked it up! I received a voucher with the purchase of my car and unfortunately did not read the fine print... I waited longer than it said to redeem it. However, the guys still honored the voucher - and they totally did not have to. Not to mention they were super friendly, social, and did a great job with the inside and outside of my car! Horrible car wash and manager is rude and inconsiderate of the trash experience provided here. Got an $18 express wash and I could see my windows were still dirty as the people were drying my car off. I rolled down my window to tell them and they said "well it's only an express wash ma'am" and proceeded to spread dirt around with the rags. Be ready, they will definitively try to sell you extras. Keep refusing until the guy gives up! I brought my car to their oil change center a couple of times. Each time, they tried to convince me to also replace the engine belt and flush all the liquids. On the other hand, they are fast: 30-40 min for changing the oil. I will never go back, spent hundred bucks- oil change, some special car wash, and a couple items from shop. Well, I asked at counter, "did you put air in tires?" He said yes. I didn't check because it's sip standard, but no air added, so now I wonder about oil filter and will check when home. The car wash, I have pics to prove, no wax, no tire shine, Windows not clean on the OUTSIDE, totally skipped wiping inside console, dirt on car...don't waste your time, I will never unless bought by someone else, this is lousy management. Unfortunately I am afraid to get a detail now because I have a new car w leather interior and I don't want them spraying their noxious spray on my beautiful leather. Disappointed too many times. This last trip has become my last. Waited 30 min for my car wash, no one was in front of me. For 30 min, watch people walk in and out as their cars are cleaned. Finally my car is ready and my matts, which I paid extra to clean were not washed. I waited a total of 45 minutes to get my car with soaking wet matts and went back seats. I went there for just an exterior quick wash, and the guy there convinced me to get a detail for an extra $34, for a total of $55. My interior WAS gross, so I went for it. It took about 35 minutes for the detail, then they drove my car through the auto car wash and hand dried it. They washed the windows by hand, and done. I will say, the car looked much better, and I'm happy I did it. That said, I would probably seek out a different place next time. I did not get BAD service, and everyone was super nice. But only 2/3 of my windshield was washed (still all gunk from the trees above my driveway on the right 1/3), and the back window was only half washed. It had all spray dried on it like the guy sprayed it but then forgot to wipe it down. As for the interior, they did a great job cleaning out all the gunk and vacuuming, but the interior was INCREDIBLY greasy, which is gross. My hands were sliding off the steering wheel all the way home. I have had plenty of detailings where they use stuff that is not sticky OR greasy, so this was a disappointment. Also, when I got home, I used a rag soaked in hot water to go over the interior surfaces I'd be touching (steering wheel and shifter, mainly) and this is what the towel looked like after rubbing down the steering wheel. I am certain this is dirt (vs whatever polish they use to clean the interior) because when I wiped down the greasy dashboard the towel was clean. A) I realize it is disgusting that my steering wheel was this dirty, but B) they clearly did not really wash it and just wiped it quickly with greasy polish. I would give it 5 stars for customer service, and I would say it's a great and convenient option if you just want a quick wash driving through the drive-thru, but I Would not get my car detailed there again. It costs too much to have to go over the windows and interior again myself after. read more
