Mark from Splash reached out to me after my last review. He asked me to come back and give Splash a second chance for a vehicle washing. I took Mark up on his offer and the staff delivered. The staff was expecting me to arrive and wanted to know what they could do better this time around. I mentioned it was the wheels at my last wash. The staff did a great job prewashing my vehicle and it came out great. Hats off to excellent customer service. Not only are they monitoring Yelp, they're reaching out to customers and reaching out to staff. Mark had included his staff at the Cheshire location on the e-mail chain we had; awesome job! One final note: Tip the guy/gal at the end who dries your car. Another review mentioned it. They're outside in all types of weather and do a nice job post wash. Previous Review: A good place to get your vehicle washed. I come here just for the wash, I haven't done any of the extras they offer. You'll often see people having their cars vac'd out and detailed at the end of the wash tunnel. The staff here is helpful. They'll let you know if they have any specials going on. During the winter, they had pay one price, come as often as you like package. They do a good job prewashing your vehicle when you pull into the tunnel. They use a combo of a pressure washer and wash brush. When you buy the wheel wash, they could do a better job pre cleaning the wheels. After my last wash, my wheels were still pretty dingy. I find it can get pretty busy here during the lunch hour and after work. I've had good luck arriving before lunch to beat the crowds. read more

Paid for both types of interior detailing as a birthday gift to myself and was very disappointed. The drivers seat still had crumbs on it, the back seat hadn't been vacuumed at all, the cup holders weren't cleaned, there was an oily substance all over the dash. It took over an hour for a 40-min service, which would have been fine if they'd used that extra time to do a good job. Unfortunately this was just not worth the money - better to spend a little more at a place that will finish the job. read more

Reviewing for Splash car wash, not the detailing component. They need to bring Jack back. He ran a great ship. They need to bring Hugo back, he was amazing. Joshua is the only one left who actually does his job. And Jose the manager spends all his time whenever we're there watching people work instead of working himself. And then just today pulled up to go through...everything shows they are open, the garage doors are up and there is what seems to be an employee car parked in the back but there was not one person around. Just left Splash car wash. Had a superior interior package , exterior express wash and an added exterior works package. Disappointed . I had to return to the location because the entire back was unwashed. They took care of it right away. The rims of the car were not touched, still dirty. The woman who took my payment said they would do the best they can if the dirt would come off. I rubbed it with my finger and most of the dirt came off. Also the interior was lightly cleaned. There is still dirt amaround the interior and my interior rear view mirror was never touched. Superior package was a bit of an overstatement. Buyer beware. read more

I would give this place Zero stars if I could. I bought the unlimited wash package and paid per month. Each time I took my car there, it was look almost the same condition as when I got there. I was stuck hand washing the bottom half of my car because apparently their brushes and machines can't clean half of a door? I gave them a few more tries since and it's been nothing but the same. The last time I spoke to the manager and said specifically could they make sure they brush the bottom half of my doors and I was offered a degreaser for my wheels because they were dirty. I got home and not only was it still dirty on the bottom half but My rims looked untouched... I called to cancel my membership and they told me "oh were not doing this over the phone come down and I'll cancel it". Absolutely absurd I had to go back down there. DO NOT GO HERE. read more

I've been an unlimited wash plan customer for a year now, and have become very frustrated with the declining quality of the facilities. The staff here are absolutely marvelous. I'm always greeted by the same people, who clearly value their customers and understand that customer service is mission-critical in a competitive car wash market. They go the extra mile to ensure that my car is cleaned the way I ask. Bug remover, tire shine, don't scrub the wheels, all that nitpicky stuff. What the nice people don't seem to have control of is maintenance of the facility. The car wash is constantly out of one of the soaps or has had some mechanical breakdown. Twice this week I went to use the vacuums and found they had almost no suction. Even the employees seem frustrated by these situations which I have brought to their attention on multiple occasions. In the past, I would have recommended this car wash to friends because of their attention to detail but now I don't think I would, given the decline. read more

When I first rolled up and saw the prices I wanted to get out of line! Another car got behind and I had some time to kill so I figured whats $5 more than I would usually pay. The wash itself is nothing different than any other car wash. After you exit the wash that is where this place will impress you! Most car washes have workers at the end of line that don't appear to be professional. Not this place! I was really very impressed with how complete the job was! There was not a drop of water left on my car, not a streak on my windows, and not a spec of dirt on my carpet! They even shined the wheels. Henry runs this Splash (for a long time just called Cheshire Car Wash). There's a loyalty program (I believe it's 6 washes to get 1 free); he'll stick a barcode to the inside of your door, so he can keep track. This location also has great service after the wash with 2 folks drying your car off with soft towels. I'm flabbergasted at the number of people who won't give a tip-- they really do a good job of wiping down your mirrors and everywhere else... certainly deserve a little recognition. read more

I honestly don't know why anyone would rate this place 5 stars. I've never had a good experience here and I've gotten everything from the cheapest wash (around $8-10) to the most expensive (anywhere from $35-60+). The terrible job starts with the "greeter" who has an attitude and ends with a towel dry that always leaves behind dirt on my car. At least those people are nice. I go here because it's the only place in town and I'm always disappointed. My most recent experience left me and several other people with no vacuuming. After speaking to the attendant, he told me that they were about to close, which is surprising because they were still taking washes, and they advertise free vacuuming with wash. They didn't offer a coupon or to leave the vacuums on. He did come back and say I could use the front vacuums, but after about a minute, that was turned off as well. This is the last time I go, I will never return here again. read more

This Splash location is awful...besides goi g up in price, the 'service' has gone down. My car wasn't dried, tires not done, and when I spoke to the presumed manager 'Juan', he said because of covid they dont dry cars anymore and that tires are done inside the carwash tunnel! In New Haven, someone actually does tires by hand and wipes a car...oh, and if I have to dry my own car which after grabbing a towel I did), why did this location raise prices? No one the home office returns calls or emails...drive further down the road to the self car wash (eWash America) at half the price.... read more

I took my SUV in for a 5 Star Detail and I received friendly service from phone calls to book the detail to drop off and pick up. Afterwards my 10 year old truck looked unbelievable, inside and out. My car wasn't wiped down after and I had soap all over front and back windows, mirrors and I had streaks over my car. It actually looked like it needed to be washed again. I went to this car wash before traveling to visit family out of state. My fiancé and I decided to splurge and buy the more expensive package so that the inside of my car would get a thorough cleaning. My fiancé had gone previously and thought they did a good job. When they were finished and we were getting into the car I noticed lots of stains on my front passenger seat and in the back seat but thought that it was water. However later in the day when I thought it would have dried I realized they were actually grease or oil stains from one of the cleaners. I was heading out of town that day did not bring this to their attention, but I will not spend money at this car wash again. read more

This year I finally treated myself to a "new to me" car which is a 2010 Jeep. The only reason I now keep going to wash it, is because I love going to Splash and seeing Henry. He is a great addition to this car wash, and always makes me laugh. I made sure that the owner of this location knew how great of an employee he was and sent them a nice little e-mail which he very quickly reponded to thanking me for acknowledging his work. I was then told Henry has been working there for over 25 years. He always offers you a deal on your car wash, and they also have a special where you can get unlimited car washes for $14 a month. Not to bad, if you sign up Henry throws in a free deluxe car wash that day (I didn't but thanked him for the offer) I always go here now since I have a reason to keep my car nice ;) and before you go always look up valpak or other local coupons and they offer good discounts on car washes $3-$5 off. Crew needs to be retrained. Back crew chooses not to pressure washer wheels for exterior only. Are wheels part of a car? Are we getting a car wash? Front crew do not change towels between cars. They don't even bother folding them over between two cars. So they transfer dirt and sand from one car to another. Good part is that they recently upgraded equipment. Equipment does what they missed to do correctly. I will give them a chance to correct this and give good review if so. read more

(Live in meriden) the upsale by the guy taking money is beyond annoying. Its almost worse than a used car salesman. Wow, I have since changed to 1 star. The car wash does a reasonable job. I spent over 50 dollars to have the exterior wash and superior interior wash. I had a 5 dollar coupon. Because I had a Honda CRV and wanted the back of the car vacuumed, they added a surcharge of what exactly 5 dollars and then to beat all they didn't clean the back. I DONT FREQUENT BUSINESSES THAT OFFER COUPONS AND THEN FIND A WAY TO NULLIFY THEM. I was, simply put, ripped off. I should have known I was better off at Prospect Car Wash. My wife said on my return - oh yeah - Splash is a rip off. I tipped the two guys 6 bucks only to find out they didnt do their job. I was asked if I wanted to upgrade for a $3 extra wheel wash to which I said no, it had never really cleaned them that well before. Javier, at the front desk, was very nice and said he do it anyway so I could see it done properly. Him and another man did spend a good amount of time on my car even before going through the wash. My car does look great- the best it's ever looked from this location. There are a few stubborn spots on the car that didn't completely come clean, but I'm not expecting 100% perfection from an automated machine. I hope the service stays just as good with others running the front of house, and on a busier day since today it was relatively quiet there. Thanks! read more

I chose the $18 Works Plus wash, and although my car looks clean, the 2 people towel-drying did a shoddy job. Considering there were 2 of them, there should not have been water spots left all over. I think I only go here because it is the only game in town. I guess I will be washing my own car from now on. I am tired of the nickel and dime game. Mats $1 each, vacuum and window $8 o' but wait you need your trunk vacuumed that's another $3 wait a min. your trunk is really dirty so that will be another $2. Don't even ask about leather or a shine you will have to take out a second mortgage. Also there was an underage kid working there today not sure how legal that is. Aside from this my car is still dirty, it was never dried properly and was also not vacuumed properly. This was not my only issue with splash in Cheshire this was the issue from today's visit. Needless to say I will not be returning and I will also continue to voice my concerns about this location on every social media site and the BBB. My suggestion is to please make your customers feel like they have received value, if you are not going to do the best of jobs don't charge a arm and leg. $30 and more importantly I will never get the past 10 min back typing this review. read more

Honesty and outstanding customer service are two qualities that are very hard to come by in many businesses, but Splash Car Wash exemplifies them in spades! I've been a customer for years, using their washing and detailing services. Last week, I emptied out my car (lying everything on the ground) before using the vacuuming equipment, and then continued on to the car wash area. Two days later, I discover my $189 Maui Jim sunglasses missing from their case. Yikes!! Oh, NO!!! Retracing my steps, I remembered taking them out of my car for that vacuuming. I was distraught. Not only did I search for just the right sunglasses for six months, but they were a present from my husband! Without much hope of finding them, I went back to Splash and talked with Jose, the manager. He was genuinely upset for me and told me he'd see if they had been found. He also reassured me that he'd call me back, making sure he had my name and number for contact. When I returned home, my husband was skeptical, saying, "It would be a miracle if you get them back. Even if someone did find them, I couldn't blame them for not turning them in. They are too nice to give back!" Hopes dashed, I was resigned to the fact that I'd need to buy a new pair. My husband even volunteered to make the purchase. Except that, he never got the chance to follow through with his offer. Jose called on Saturday. He left a message to return his call. I assumed he was just following up with a call to tell me that he hadn't found the glasses. I went over to Splash on Sunday (Jose's day off) and another gentlemen located them in the "lost and found" drawer, in a plastic bag and spotlessly clean!!! OMG!! I was literally speechless.
