When I…read morerequested a refund for what I paid to the wellness center for the bloodwork, they were more willing to remove my insurance from the bill in order to not refund the over a thousand dollar bill. I told them that I no longer wanted to do business with them as by that time I read some of the other alarming reviews. Four months later, I received a bill from LabCorp for the same bloodwork, except the bill is over 3 times the amount I originally paid. Labcorp is going to talk to my insurance since this doctor's office removed it from the bill without my permission. Not sure what is going to happen as I did this bloodwork a long time ago and now the price is 3 times the original amount. This is very shady. DO NOT COME HERE. Beware of the sales representative you talk to before you see the provider as she will try to get you to sign off on costly and unnecessary testing that has very little to do with the primary reason for coming here. This being so that they can maximize profits and try to sell you thousands of dollars of supplements you do not need.

Mind you, I drove 45 mins to the darn office. Very disorganized staff (hence the ridiculous waiting time). Def would not recommend, save your TIME and MONEY - go somewhere else. Left without treatment and they were very nonchalant- no one followed up to even remotely attempt to make things right.

Hello? Just phenomenal people. Professional, efficient, the best of the best…read more I'd like to send my gratitude to Dr. Gill for helping me treat my serious eczema condition and working with the pharmacy carrier for my biologic meds. When I needed his help, he was there for me as a true doctor. I had left an earlier review for this wonderful individual. I pray he stays on forever. I do not know what I would do without him. Also, Ms. Amanda, who is the biologic coordinator is the best. She answers her phone, follows up and listens to your concerns. She deals with quite a bit as far as the specialized medicinal carriers and its complexity. Excellent. I also want to recognize the staff. They are wonderfully courteous, practice appropriate phone etiquette (believe me, not everyone does), and practice patience with individuals who call the office. Office visits are also a pleasure. The vibe is very upbeat, positive and calm. Complete Dermatology is very fortunate to have this group of individuals. Dr. Gill has helped my daughter deal with her serious case of acne and gave her back her life again while in her early 20's. Million stars for these wonderful people.

Today, I have my third visit with Dr. Hiscox of Complete Dermatology. Let me begin this review by…read moresaying that I don't often leave reviews at all and that it is even more rare that I will take the time to provide one with such high marks as this one. Let's start with the arrival/check-in process. It was quick and efficient. My appointment was at 11:00 AM. I get it.....doctors can often run behind, and people can often spend time twiddling their thumbs in a waiting room. I am certain that there are times that they fall behind, but with this visit, they are three-for-three. All of my visits have begun within mere minutes of scheduled times....and that is impressive! Prior to meeting with the doctor, his very personable assistant visited with me to discuss the reasons for my visit and to gather information for him. Too often, there is a disconnect at this point - you have to start over with the doctor and wonder why you ever wasted time answering questions and providing information to someone else in advance. This is NOT so with this visit (or my previous appointments with Dr. Hiscox. There was absolutely no question that all of the information that I had provided his assistant had been relayed to him. Dr. Hiscox is the best of the best (and that is not an exxageration.). He is personable and professional - truly a delight to visit with. He takes the time to listen, explains things in a layman's terms, and does not at all rush his patients. I cannot say enough good things about him. The group that schedules further appointments and takes care of insurance and payments are top-shelf, too. From beginning to end, Complete Dermatology hits it on all cylinders. I recommend them very, very highly....and if you are fortunate enough to have Dr. Hiscox as your dermatologist, I believe you have found the best.

Ok bear with me because this is long but these miracle workers deserve praise…read more I'm so glad that I found Dr. Ali and Acclaim Dermatology. My usual dermatologist couldn't get me in for weeks for an urgent skin problem. I needed to see him now, not in four weeks! Dr. Ali's staff was able to squeeze me in for a same day appointment, and the staff and Doctor were so friendly and helpful. Even though they squeezed me in, I didn't feel rushed, or like I was a bother. I've had that feeling elsewhere. They made sure my insurance covered the visit, and the medications were effective and inexpensive. Within a day I was getting better. I'm going to stick to this practice for all my skin needs from now on. I guess you learn how valuable you are to your doctor when you have a crisis. Thankfully, there are still doctors who actually care about helping people out when they are in need. Thank you Acclaim Dermatology and Dr. Ali!

Light snacks, like cranberries and nuts are provided along with hot tea options, and citrus flavored water. The space is very nice. There are locker rooms with plush spa robes and complementary slippers. The locker room has two steam showers if you want to wash yourself after your massage. They also provide hair products to try as well as a Dyson hair dryer. I was definitely very impressed with the luxurious feel of the spa, however, was turned off by the receptionist who checked me in - her robotic, transactional nature was starkly juxtaposed against the warmth of the spa. I noticed she was the same with all customers so it wasn't personal but interaction with her was unsettling. I booked the 60min signature hydrafacial and the esthetician was welcoming and willingly customized my facial based on my requests. No major issues encountered but I noticed we started 10 minutes late and ended 10 minutes early so I thought marketing it as a 60min experience was a bit misleading. Also note the 60min Signature Hydrafacial does not include any hand/neck massages nor boosters nor light therapy so the $285 price was much more expensive than my usual spa. I will not return for another facial but may try massage in the future. We also booked pedicures and again the space is beautiful!! We were given a palette to select colors and the ladies were extremely friendly! My toes came out adorable! I found the seating to be very uncomfortable for a short person despite many pillows placed behind me for support so I honestly struggled to enjoy the experience but the space was very nicely decorated and clean looking. We were offered tea and snacks at the beginning as well. Overall, this was a very nice spa. I found it fairly expensive and overpriced, but I recognize beautiful spaces have a cost and that's what I should've expected in the River Oaks area. There is complementary validated parking!

I would have given this location one star, but because I've been a patient here for nearly 15…read moreyears, I can acknowledge that it *used* to be a much better practice. Unfortunately, declining customer service has been its downfall for years. Before I was even checked in, I waited several minutes behind another patient who was openly expressing dissatisfaction with her visit. When I was finally roomed, the assistant asked what brought me in--only to immediately tell me that only *two* concerns could be addressed during the visit. I understand the intent, but the delivery was dismissive and poorly communicated. A better approach would have been to ask me to prioritize my top two concerns, rather than shutting the conversation down before I could finish explaining. The visit continued downhill when the PA entered the room and immediately told me that the treatment plan I was requesting would be a "waste of time" and refused to order it, while insisting I continue medications I've been on for years that clearly are not working. From the moment I began speaking, she was shaking her head and preemptively dismissing what I was saying. It was unprofessional and frustrating. A treatment plan should be a partnership between patient and provider. While I understand providers have clinical judgment, dismissing a patient's concerns outright is not collaboration. When she said the treatment wouldn't be "worth it," I couldn't help but wonder--worth it to whom? I'm the one living with persistent acne and trying to find solutions beyond repeating the same ineffective approach. I chose to end the visit early and requested to speak with the office manager about a refund of my copay. The manager was not on site, and it took an additional 10-15 minutes--and me having to walk in the hall to request to speak to someone again--before a fill-in arrived. I've referred more than a dozen people to this practice over the years, but this was not an isolated incident. I've repeatedly experienced long wait times, dismissive staff, and poor communication. The fact that the waiting room used to be full and is now consistently empty speaks volumes. At this point, I've decided to move my care elsewhere. There are many dermatology practices that value respectful communication and work *with* patients to develop effective treatment plans.

I would recommend getting a second opinion for cosmetic issues…read more I had a recurring cyst in the dead center of my face in between my eyebrows and I probably did two rounds of cortisone injections here (the cyst then went away for a few months then came back). When I tried to get another injection they said they won't do any more and the only option is to surgically remove it. Mind you, the surgery would likely leave a scar which would be fine on my arm but not the center of my face and there is a chance for infection when it comes to surgically removing cysts and that would cause even more scaring in the center of my face. I decided to get a second option at a place that I felt was more hip to cosmetic dermatology and my new provider said that's crazy that they would recommend someone in their 20s get that surgery on the middle of their face. She said we would continue the cortisone injections and likely the cyst would eventually stop popping up. She was correct - I did two or three more rounds of injections and the cyst hasn't surfaced in over a year. So glad I got a second opinion and didn't opt for the surgery in between my eyebrows! I also like at my new dermatologist you don't need to go in for a consultation and then book a separate appointment to get to cortisone injection, they are willing to do both on the same day to take care of the issue quicker.
