Very cozy nook in the wall restaurant with wonderful service and food. It's quiet inside and tables are limited (so make a reservation!), and staff are intimate and friendly. We had the veal and pork main courses and they were both amazing. Veal was tender and pork was perfectly crispy. We tried a local spritz that was also pretty good. This is a delightful little spot to dine with company!

Blitt en av mine favoritt restauranter i Norge. Du får mye kvalitet for pengene. Både maten og vinen. Vært her tre ganger nå og vil gjerne tilbake. Betjeningen er supe hyggelig og det er god akustikk og atmosfære. Anfebaler virkelig!!

Delicious and would recommend you make reservations and the tasting menu to try the chef's favorites. The restaurant is quaint and best for 2-4.

The food here is amazing. Everything was freshly prepared and the presentation was beautiful. The server explained each dish when it was presented which was a very nice touch. This is an excellent choice for dinner in Bergen.

This is a cute and cozy restaurant! I loved that they have a three course meal, but with smaller size portions of their apps and dessert. Often times when I'm dinning the person I'm with doesn't want to split an app or dessert and I'm forced to get only one, so I was thrilled to be able to try them all. Also both parties don't have to get the three course meal so my friend was able to just get an entree. The service was a little slow. We noticed other tables getting service before us. We were not in a rush so it wasn't a big deal. The food was excellent! I enjoyed everything and would do the three course meal again. I love tartare, but can't eat a lot of it so I was so happy with the portion. I really loved all the apps and couldn't pick a favorite. The veal was perfectly cooked. Who doesn't love a little dessert! All of them were satisfying. I would definitely recommend this restaurant!

King Crab concoction - I forgot the actual name, but this was a Norwegian take on crab rangoon, in a savory cream sauce. Tasty!

Bergen's Cozy Fine Dining Nook Google translates "Spisekroken" as "The Dining Nook". Not sure if that's correct, but I'd say it's accurate. Spisekroken is a nice little nook of fine dining. Food was good, service was great, and it was an overall nice experience. I went with a King Crab concoction (can't remember the actual name) for my starter, moved on to the Venison Steak with Jerusalem artichoke, cauliflower, & potatoes which was hearty but a bit under-seasoned, and finished with a Blueberry Yogurt/Blueberry Ice Cream dessert that was a nice ending. Would definitely return if I ever visit Bergen again.

Incredible food, atmosphere and a laid back Norwegian vibe. Go for the food and incredible service and after dinner drinks (elderflower!) Outstanding in all regards. Go or you will regret it

The food here was one of the best meals I had in Scandinavia! This is an older restaurant, super humid when we walked in, but better where we were seated in the cave-like basement level, right in the splash zone of a dripping air conditioner and at a wobbly table. Staff put a napkin under the table and turned off the air conditioner. It stopped dripping after about 15 minutes. The bread is served with an herb butter. The veal and duck confit were both so hearty and tasty. The food more than made up for the atmosphere, which was a little dingy, but charming as an "old European" eatery. Everyone eating here appeared to be a local, which is always a good sign.

Went to the restaurant during our stay in Bergen. It's a nice little cozy place. The lone waiter on the ground floor ran around like a headless chicken. So I didn't want to give him a hard time but the service could have been better. Food was good, not great. The dessert could have been a little more interesting. Over all a decent solid meal but not very exciting.

Had the best dessert of our lives here in Nov 2017 and can't stop thinking about it: Cloudberry cheesecake with cloudberry mousse and a scoop of cloudberry sorbet. Can't wait to visit again when we move to Stavanger nearby in a couple of months!

Menu contained a number of Norwegian dishes of seafood, meat (including reindeer) and vegetarian. We knew ahead of time we wanted to try the plukkfisk and gratinated fish pie. The pie was the best dish for us that night. It had a nice and creamy texture along with a crunch on the crust due to the frying. It was a light dish compared to the plukkfisk. The plukkfisk was quite heavy with this fish/mashed potato mixture and while the fried bacon added some texture it could've used a little more acid for our tastes.

The flavors were excellent and this was served with a side of fried potatoes, green beans along with a bed of creamy mushroom. The vibes from the Gen Z staff were lit too. Seems like they were complaining about bf issues... Pricing may be elevated as I'm not sure if this was a tourist trap as I didn't see any locals. 495 NOK for lunch.
