What I am here to talk about is the food... specifically sandwiches. I work two buildings down and have eaten sandwiches from them for years now. Did you know they make sandwiches? Surprise! A hidden sandwich shop! We needed one and they delivered. They've had their up and downs with the deli, but things seem to be in high gear now. They have a big menu, and they're happy to customize any piece of your order. The guys I see regularly behind the counter are friendly, helpful and make a quality sandwich. So you should go, and support the sandwich shop! Keep them growing! They've started to make hot sandwiches (and some non-sandwich things, too). I've only had cold so far. I typically eat veg for lunch, so I've had their hummus wrap many, many times. It's simple and good. They've added a couple more veg-friendly sandwiches that I look forward to trying (and my veg-only coworker is thankful for). I've also had their "Rare Roast Beef" wrap, which I don't think is on the menu any longer (or has a new name?) and the sandwich version of what now a wrap: the Thanksgiving burrito. (I think I mangled that name) Both excellent. They use excellent cold cuts and cheeses, I think mostly Boar's Head? Anyhow, go and be surprised. Sandwiches! Price was about $10 per 4 cans which is what they go for back in Vegas (where I live) so I wasn't over paying for this. I also found my McGillicuddy's butterscotch nips & the big bottle. Usually these nips go for.99 a piece here they're $1.49 but if you buy 5 or 10 of them they will cost you 99 cents each. So I grabbed two 10 pack sleeves to take back to Vegas with me. I also grabbed some scratch tickets & only had a $2.00 winner....boo. I even asked the grumpy guy (no personality @ all & seemed like it was torture for him to be there) working the register to give me the winning tickets....lol Now Shari who was also behind the counter was a fun hoot. If you're like me, you've had the experience of finding new and interesting beers here with the added upside of buying singles if you're unsure. Other times, you want what you want and you want it in mass quantities. Last Fall I was having a tough week at work and just wanted a six pack of Copper Legend to relax and ride out the end of the last few days. Knowing how accommodating the team here is, I called on my way home from the office to see if they had any in stock and cold (don't judge me). Copper Legend was in stock, but warm. John offered to toss the six pack in the fridge for me to get a good chill on it, but also offered a great trick for cooling down beers really quickly. I don't divulge secrets this great, so you'll have to ask him yourself. Once they got me liking the good life of customer service and genuine kindness, I knew I had to up my game! I asked Gustavo if he and his team would be willing to put together Advent cases (a different beer for each of the 24 days). The team pulled through amazingly well. Gustavo took the request seriously, and it was apparent the team put a ton of thought into what was offered. Every beer was individually wrapped with a gift tag noting the day. I got a few more cases to share with friends, and I don't think we've ever had nightly text discussions/check ins, but everyone was excited to see what the others thought about the day's selection. I can't say enough about the team here, it comes through in every interaction you have with them: they love what they do, and truly want you to be happy with your purchase.
