So when I realized that it had growing rust under the doors, between the front and rear tires, on both sides, I was hopeful for rust repair and not replacement. After a few phone calls to other places, I was guided to Hampton Auto Body West, where I met Charlie. Charle quickly understood my goal - keep this car running as long as possible with minimal investment beyond normal maintenance items. Charlie's provided an estimate to repair the rust and we agreed for him and his team to perform the work and I'm glad we did... the metal under both doors is new, clean, rust-free, and looks great... so good that I'm tempted for them to paint the rest of their car, too... but that goes against that goal of minimal investment in the car. But they were accommodating and gracious when we came to get the personal items out of the cars. Two were repaired. In short order, with extra accommodation to the non-body work that had to be done, by collaborating with the engine people. And it all got done in one fell swoop without too much of my intervention. They communicate well on what's going on, how the insurance claim is going and when the car will be delivered. When I walked in and they knew my name, I knew I was a frequent flyer!!
