So while it's old in years, it's much younger if you base its "age" on odometer miles. And it's still a comfortable car with features you can't find today and it's paid off. So when I realized that it had growing rust under the doors, between the front and rear tires, on both sides, I was hopeful for rust repair and not replacement. After a few phone calls to other places, I was guided to Hampton Auto Body West, where I met Charlie. Charle quickly understood my goal - keep this car running as long as possible with minimal investment beyond normal maintenance items. Charlie's provided an estimate to repair the rust and we agreed for him and his team to perform the work and I'm glad we did... the metal under both doors is new, clean, rust-free, and looks great... so good that I'm tempted for them to paint the rest of their car, too... but that goes against that goal of minimal investment in the car. A little back story: I was a victim of the snow storm we received in Feb 2021. Couldn't stop sliding and hit a guard rail. Completely wiped out the front of my car. I took my car to them same day and they got me all set up that day! It took about two weeks for them to be done. The wait was due to the parts (I'm sure Covid and the snow storm did not help). They stayed in contact with me throughout the whole process: when they ordered, the delivery date, and even the complete date which they beat by two days!!!
