This is a beautiful crystal shop not far from the Point Reyes Bear Valley Visitor Center. It shares parking with the Inverness Park Market, so it's convenient to pop in before ordering food. They have a front courtyard entryway with garden items and tables to display some of their outdoor wares. It's so peaceful walking in, that you forget the nearby traffics of Sir Francis Drake Blvd. Inside, they have a nicely displayed array of crystals, books, local art and jewelry. It feels like you're walking through a gallery for spiritual and earthy type items. It's really a joy to browse and such a unique shop, located right in the National seashore. Staff are friendly and happy to tell you more about the items. Their prices are fair for the unique items they carry. I love this shop and look forward to my visits when in the area. read more

Wonderful little place with a wide selection of rocks to choose from. The rocks were well-priced, compared to the general area. The staff were so friendly and were ready to help whenever we needed. This shop is next to the Inverness Park Market on Sir Frances Drake Blvd in Point Reyes Station, CA. The shop is in a cottage that is so darn stinking idyllically charming. The front yard has a pretty garden. As I stepped into the shop, I had no clue what to expect. At first I noticed it was modern, tidy, and organized. Next my visual senses perked up. The crystals, quartz, and polished stones in the front room were absolutely beautiful. Gorgeous colors, mesmerizing striations. They labeled each type and provided an explanation of the spiritual healing aspect. Most of the inventory had tags explaining the meaning of the items which I found helpful. The shelves throughout the shop thoughtfully displayed books, paintings, artwork, incense, cards, jewelry, crystals, quartz, and statues all based on the world's various spiritual & wisdom traditions... from Hindu, Christian, Buddhist, and Celtic. The staff was friendly and greeted us right away. The vibe was positive and inviting. The price points were terrific. They were reasonable and not shockingly marked up. Saw this cute place on my way home after my morning hike and decided to stop by. It's a cute little store full of gems, stones, trinkets and spiritual artifacts. This store is incredible and has so many gems (no pun intended). They have a wonderful collection of crystals, jewelry, and spiritual novelties! It's on the way to Point Reyes, in the beautiful town of Inverness. I am so happy I stopped here along one of my trips because it is now my favorite shop. During my first visit, I was honestly overwhelmed with what crystals to get because they are all so beautiful looking. The staff working was so friendly and wrote down a list of crystal starter recommendations for me. Since then, I've been back a handful of times and I have added to my collection. I've been to other spiritual stores throughout California but here you can tell they really take care of their stones and curate the best of the best. Even when checking out, you can tell the staff packages them with care. Bought a white druzy pendant that had gold angel wings sculpted around the stone; topped by a garnet crown. Spectacular! Truly lovely geodes. On a recent visit we picked up an amazingly beautiful celestite. Also have some books and motivational card as well as incense. Now through the summer they are hosting a crystal show in the curtained area. Be sure to check it out. Parking can be a challenge so get there after the coffee crowd that descends on nearby IP. Spirit Matters is archetypal Marin County, all hippie and New Age. It's so relaxed, that even when it comes to the parking situation, you can just pull off the road- wherever- without fear of getting towed. Now, the address says Pt. Reyes Station, but it's actually in the tiny town of Inverness Park (thanks to Sir Francis Drake, the Pt. Reyes Peninsula has Shakespearean names like Inverness, Mt. Wittenberg&the ghost town/oyster farm of Hamlet) They have an array of devotional objects, recycled art, a small garden in front, and flying Tibetan Buddhist prayer flags. The volcanic ash Buddhas in front are appropriate, since it's in the Ring of Fire and on the Pacific plate (unlike nearby Pt. Reyes Station, Marshall&Tomales) There are Goddess statues, the "Holy Marriage", Our Lady of Guadalupe, Kuan Yin, an area devoted to mermaids, you name it, they've got it, along with jewelry and books. read more

This time around they had a most righteous figurine of the Goddess Brigidh! My wife just drooled over the mermaid art. She almost bought a most beautiful statue of Yemaya. I do have to say this. Do you ever have one of those days when you're looking for meaning, for guidance, from somewhere, anywhere, in fact you don't really know where to look you just hope it falls out of the sky and cascades like a gentle waterfall around your entire being? It's like a spiritual scavenger hunt! I had one of those days recently. ​I got in the car and drove west with no real destination in mind. While stopping for tea in Fairfax, a small brochure propped against the window waved to me. It was for a metaphysical shop called 'Spirit Matters' in Inverness, of course! I said yes to the invitation, acknowledging it as the first guidepost. Upon arriving at 'Spirit Matters' its prayer flags waved me in as the outdoor sculpture garden filled with Quan Yins, mermaids and buddhas sat in high vibratory silence, creating a magical bubble around the grounds. I wandered into the small house painted periwinkle blue, studded with silver abalone shells with every cell in my body saying "Yes, you found it!" Each nook was an altar filled with crystals, incense made of rosewood and copal, bundles of white sage and feather wands, deities of buddhist, celtic, egyptian and hindu goddesses all graced the interior. Thanks to this special shop, the energy of the land it sits upon, the owner, and her shopkeepers, ​I left the shop renewed and reconnected. It's truly one of my healing places! read more

I have been going for years and every time I step into the front yard, I take a huge cleansing breath leaving the world behind me. Literally and figuratively! My own views on religion has changed over the years. . .it has become very electic incorporating Goddesses, Native American, Judicia and Pagan. The whole place just took my breath away. The store really feels like a temple ...unlike many metaphysical shops that feel as if they're simply set up to 'sell.'
