If you find yourself wandering through West Marin or exploring Point Reyes, do yourself a favor and…read morestop by Tom Biagini's wonderfully unassuming gallery in Inverness--a place where coastal atmosphere, humor, and genuine artistic talent quietly live side by side. Tom's work captures the held breath of a moment--those quiet intervals of emotional intensity that seem to exist just beyond words. His paintings move fluidly between the electric pulse of Los Angeles, where anonymity hums through palm-lined streets and the mirrored sheen of rain-slick pavement, and pastoral landscapes where whispering fog drifts down rolling hills toward the Pacific. At the same time, Tom's playful imagination surfaces in his precocious pandas and his martini-drinking, cigar-smoking sumo surfers--works that reveal a welcome irreverence and humor. Yet it is Tom's Faces that I find most captivating--lush, seductive portraits that feel almost tactile... dare I say, juicy. Among the pieces I've acquired are two that I return to often: Ethereal, from his Strong Women series, where a luminous figure seems to materialize from swirling color and atmosphere, and Last Glimpse Before It's Gone, a serene horizon capturing the sun's final breath before night quietly takes the tide. They are paintings I find myself returning to again and again. Works that reveal something new each time--not through explanation, but through feeling.

I bought a work from him several years ago and get many comments on it from those who see it. Worth the trip to Inverness just to visit the gallery, but also stay for a bit, because a step away from busy life can be good.

Damaged Art? Antiques? Call SF Art Conservation today!!! Our…read moreart gallery was in the middle of the 2017 Fires in Sonoma County. Most pieces had severe smoke damage including antiques that were in pretty bad shape. The level of professionalism at SF Art Conservation put us at ease. Cleaning and preparing all of our pieces was challenging and involved. This very large job came in on time and on budget. Our insurance company was also hard to deal with but the patience and impressive work ethic that SF Art Conservation has made all the difference.

This is a wonderful place with a warm and friendly staff (I was working with Rowan) who made me feel confident to leave my art piece in their care. They described, in detail, how they were going to repair and conserve the piece, as well as how much it was going to cost up front (no surprises). They also showed me art pieces they were currently working on; they had some amazing art in their workshop! If you have an art piece that needs attention, I would truly recommend SF Art Conservation. Many thanks to Rowan and staff for their wonderful and professional help! I look forward to bringing other artwork (which needs conservation) to them in the future.
