Employees were standing around talking to one another and not helping customers, which there were plenty of parents and children looking for costumes. I asked a young female embloyee next to me for a specific costume, interrupting her conversation with another employee. She looked at me, hesitated as if it were a bother, but finally called back for my costume. Without further instruction, she turned and walked away, speaking to another female employee. I asked another parent, who told me to walk around back. I found a table near a set of double doors in the back of the store. It was strewn with bagged costumes and no one there to instruct or ensure the costumes were correct. I found the costume I asked for, in the size I requested, and checked out. It was the most pleasant employee interaction of the excursion. I got home, only to find that part of the costume was missing (wand). After my experience there, I wouldn't recommend it, nor did I return and deal with the hassle. I have walked by the place thousands of times, and always thought it was some kind of sleazy second rate kinky-costume store. The store is tight- because it is packed with great costume pieces. Their large variety includes fake mustaches and hair pieces, all sorts of masks, and full costume sets. The great thing seems to be that, as they don't appear to rely solely on the local Halloween crowd (Their website identifies theatrical and retail rentals as well) to cover their expenses, they are able to provide a large variety of costumes at reasonable prices. A breath of fresh air from the bulk of Halloween stores in the Pittsburgh area. As a bonus- there were 2 students filming a documentary on Halloween in the store during my visit- which only added to the festive atmosphere in the already crowded store.

I've been going to them for years, and they never let me down. Pam & Dennis, the owners and the rest of the staff are just great. If they don't have what you exactly need they will gladly improvise and help you create the look you're going for. During Halloween season they open a seasonal store here in Morgantown as well.
