No other spin class in RI, or anywhere for that matter, can compare. Great ride, good people and a full hour of fun & exercise.

I learned more at Spin-Works than I have at any other studio, the instructor was fun, friendly and very supportive to the new-comers.

They aren't some greedy corporate business looking to take every penny from you. It's a family run business that look to provide the best services for you. When I was inquiring about a membership, they guy didn't try to sell me on it at all. He just went over what they offer and gave me everything I needed and told me that I could go home and think about it and just to come back if I was interested or to call if I had any further questions. I went back the next morning and there was a different guy working the counter. He was a riot. He walked me through the gym again like I requested and he was just a total hoot. He really made me feel welcome. I was very impressed by how family oriented this place felt. The workers knew the members names when they walked in. Everyone got an acknowledgement. I really like the feel for this place. They don't have annual fees or start up fees for their membership. (Like I said they really aren't trying to screw you in any way possible) I can't wait to really utilize this facility. I'm excited!

A friend had convinced me to try out a class here with her and see what I thought. I have high anxiety in gyms where I feel extremely inadequate and as though I can't keep up with those around me. This gym however made being the new girl easy. The members and coaches here are so warm and welcoming and they all truly care about each other. There are members of all ages and abilities that are so supportive of their fellow members, cheering them on and motivating them every day. The coaches take the time to get to know their members on a personal level to learn how to best motivate you and help you succeed. Whether you are looking for competitions or just a more casual way to stay in shape, this gym is perfect. The coaches are well educated and make sure members are working out safely and to their full potential. They are also great resources when it comes to proper nutrition and stress the importance of good nutrition. Keith and Beth, the owners, have such kind hearts and go out of their way to help and support their members beyond the gym. The term family easily comes to mind when thinking about DHCF. Having been here just under a year I have definitely seen more personal results than I ever have at those gyms that are more concerned with stuffing your face full of pizza and bagels. I highly recommend DHCF and checking out a free intro class.

I've always asked myself, "how in the world can anyone actually ENJOY working out?" I've been to…read moretons of gyms: Planet Fitness, Maxx, A few boxing gyms.. But not once did I ever "enjoy" working out. I found Steve through an app as I was looking for personal training to supplement my other trainer. When I met Steve in person, it blew my mind how much energy he had, despite it being 8:30pm. After training with Steve now for about a month, I've found that his energy wasn't just for show. With the passion he maintains for helping all of his members, Its clear that his high positive energy is just who he is as a person and as a coach. Steve takes a customized approach to each of his clients wether it's personal training, small group trainings, or any general members of his gym. He's always giving people advice and critiques on how to improve their form to get max results. As a pretty anti-social gym-goer, I was truly terrified to workout in the small group trainings. I don't like feeling like I have to race or compete with anyone. After a few classes, I realized that with the family environment Steve's personality brings to the room, that the group trainings are based on comradery, not competition. I really like the people that I've met at his gym and they've welcomed me with open arms. It only took a month for me to find an answer to my original question. People enjoy working out when they are inspired. Since meeting Steve, I've been inspired to run faster, lift heavier, and frankly, smile more. If you're looking for a rockstar coach and an awesome gym, I'll see you in class with Steve at Fitness Rising :)

She is a career dancer, so it's not like other places where a fitness instructor just takes a few certification classes. Because of her experience, she is great at explaining how to move and hold your body and how to correct your form. With a maximum class size of 5 - 6, you will have as close to personal training as you can get. The space itself is also top notch. The whole gym has a luxe feel and the studio is small but airy and bright. Between the nice facilities and unique classes, they offer a lot that you won't find anywhere else.

To be…read morehonest, I'm not sure it's something they actively seek clients for, but since I live a block away and work from home it worked out well. I can tell this gym is focused on personal training and from the reviews looks like 5 stars there as well. But back to the part-time membership - worth every penny. Because they are a personal training gym, we usually always had the place to ourselves which I ended up really, really liking. When I was in fantastic shape, going to the regular gym was nothing, but when you've got some extra pounds to shed, having a nearly private space was amazing. I was concerned that because it was a personal training gym a trainer would eventually come up and try to sell me on some sessions, but that didn't happen. Unlike larger gyms I've been to! Also because they are personal training, you have just about every piece of free-weight/aerobic equipment that you could want, along with several machines - again at your disposal, no worrying about waiting for them. They also offer classes that look fun. Finally you CANNOT, I repeat cannot beat the atmosphere here. It is really cool inside, extremely clean, set-up well (2 floors), modern and the staff/owners are so friendly and pretty much mind their clients and not your presence. In conclusion, the weekday membership is not for everyone, but if you can swing it, it's worth it!

Jack Hammond and I regularly met throughout the week for 60-minute training sessions. I can't emphasize this enough-- his enthusiasm, encouragement, and overall knowledge about training undoubtably helped me achieve my goals. Not only did he constantly challenge and push me to improve and train harder; but he did so with a positive attitude. Obviously just by looking at Jack, you'll be able to tell he knows a thing or two about fitness and lifting (the guy is ~~ripped~~), but what sets Jack apart from the other "bro-science" personal trainers, is that he is ACE-certified, has a bachelor's degree in kinesiology, and also has experience with college athletics. His overall understanding about fitness is all backed by his years of experience + knowledge about science-based explanations ... now I don't know about you, but I don't think I could have asked for a more qualified trainer. Due to personal obligations and a career change, I'm no longer able to train at Method as regularly. The good news is that I'll always be able to keep the lessons I've been taught on proper form, correct movements, acceptable adjustments, and lastly-- my higher and improved self-esteem.

I love Method's take on fitness: they recognize that everyone has a different fitness journey, that fitness goals vary, and that getting healthy is a process. By working with Adam and Nigel, I've learned that changing my body composition and dietary discipline has to be habitual, and that success is related to consistency. They've also taught me there is no magic pill, no fantasy workout, no fancy sweatmore sweatpants that are gonna burn my fat, lift my butt, and sculpt my arms; only my hard work will achieve those things. And that the hard work is WAY worth it. With Adam and Nigel's guidance, my weekly workouts have progressed hugely over time. I've dropped weight, changed my body composition, increased my cardio capability, and am strong as hell. Worried about Method being way too bro-tastic for your tastes? No worries there. Amahl, the owner, does an incredible job curating a team of trainers that is dedicated to a healthful lifestyle and are super fit themselves, but somehow lack the macho-man-cool-story-bro gene. Worried about Method not being hardcore enough for you? No worries there, either. These trainers are SERIOUS. I see some of the trainers' personal workouts while I'm coming and going in the space - and their strength, ability, stamina, and discipline AMAZE me. Super inspirational. Couple other plusses: the space is clean and beautiful, parking is easy peasy, there are always fresh towels to wipe your brow, and spring water is provided to quench your thirst. In short, integrating Method into your fitness routine is nothing but a good thing. You'll get where you want to go faster, with better knowledge, and with great guidance.
