I had not been here since before it was Spins, but due to the perfect location to bridge the east and west siders, I chose them as an option for my office's holiday party this year. I was surprised to learn of all the updates and options for fun. We ended up going with Spins and could not be happier. I arrived 40 minutes prior to our event time just in case anything needed to be squared away still. I was surprised to see our area completely set up and waiting for us. We reserved bowling lanes and food, but plenty of people from our party and their families ventured out to the axe throwing and laser tag. There were no complaints. The arcade area also kept the kiddos busy. The only area I'd like to note for improvement is that our food was to be brought out at 4:30 PM and we did not receive it until 5. Once it arrived, it was delicious, but the wait was felt. Hopefully this was just an off day. I wouldn't let it deter me from giving them another shot. read more

Went there to do something fun out of the sweltering heat just to find out that the AC was broke and has been for some time. It's really a shame, because this place is a fraction away from being awesome, but the problem is their relationship with Verso, and outside caterer. I planned a group event here for some 17 Y O girls and struggled mightily to get Verso to call me back with details. It felt like they didn't want my business. I'd be told she'd be in at certain time, and then radio silence, no phone call. Or I would call and it would ring and ring with no voice mail. Who runs a business like that? After repeated calls and finally calling the bowling alley manager (who kept telling me it was out of his hands!) He eventually said he'd try to put something together, but then he never called me back. I persisted and finally got the event organized (this location was centrally locates to all attendees, so I was out of options. We showed up tonight for the event, and as you might guess, the catering/food/drink service was outright lousy. They were understaffed at the bar, and we were brought pizza 15 minutes late, but without napkins, plates, lemonade and water, & chips, which were all part of the package. I had to go to the bar to ask for these things and was handed a stack of plates and napkins. I waited a few more minutes and then was told the rest would be brought down. It took ten more minutes. I was hot. I poured drinks for the 8 girls we had present, but they only brought one pitcher of lemonade and one of water. I was able to get 5 glasses of lemonade out of the pitcher and walked it back to the bar for a refill. The bartender told me it would be $10 for another pitcher! And frankly, the two young ladies behind the bar were anything but attentive and polite. The event planner did such a poor job communicating, this was NEVER indicated in her emails or phone calls. And I've included a screenshot of the contract which doesn't really spell it out. Maybe that's my fault, but if your business depends on a poorly run caterer to provide substandard service, it's likely only a matter of time before your business is impacted. We had 2 lanes with a total of 6 people (2 under 9 years old). We were able to bowl 1 full game and half of a second one. For $60 it seems expensive with 3 shoe rentals. On a Saturday evening. In Ohio, in the winter and everything here is closed except bowling. We peeped the website on what this place has to offer. We decided to make the trip and check it out. Apparently on Saturdays you have to have a reservation to bowl. The arcade is opened but the prize area is closed. Axe throwing is closed. So unless you are privy to their schedule? Excellent upgrade at this location. Enjoyed the previous retro rink, but Spins' clean look appeals to a larger population. Staff are very accommodating. Happily changed the channel for my hubby to watch Penn State. Turns out it changed all the screens. They haven't washed away all the retro, though. Enjoyed some rocking 80s throughout our games. I also really appreciate the simple, but well done eats and craft draft beers available. The arcade also adds a nice twist of games that don't break the bank. I reserved 2 lanes on June 5th for June 13th for a 16th birthday gathering with the understanding that there is a kitchen and bar. Upon arrival, I learned that the kitchen and bar were closed due to staffing issues. I asked for a refund and was told that because it was done online a refund could not be issued and that I would have to send an email requesting a refund. The front desk person did allow me to bring in food to try and make the situation better, but it took me almost an hour to pick up the food from another establishment. A message should be placed on the website when all services can not be provided. I'm not sure why there was no music playing. read more

Spins has taken over the old Cloverleaf Lanes of Independence. It is nicely remodeled with large projection screens. There's plenty of modern seating around the lanes as well. The price was $3.50 for shoe rental and $25 an hour for a lane of up to 6 people. The food is fantastic as it's from the restaurant located inside the bowling alley, Verso. There's a fully stocked bar at Spins as well. I will say that while everything is newly updated and impressive, the bathrooms are not. They look like they've been untouched since the building was built. They need to be cleaned and updated ASAP! Overall I had a good experience and would recommend Spins if you're interested in bowling. read more

What a great place to spend time with your family. I have two younger ones 4,and 5, they had a blast. Had trouble with lane 12 and staff help out. Order the kids some chicken strips and fries and the basket was big enough for my little ones to share. I order the loaded fries which was great for a family of picky eater. The price of the food was $ a nice price so I didn't spend that much on this family outing. It was a nice arcade but we did not go over there and play but we definitely will next time. read more

He puts money in axe throwing that nobody does. laser tag that nobody has done since the 90's. Instead of putting money into his lanes and k it a great bowling alley. The air conditioner was out it was extremely hot and the few ceiling fans they do have are up to high They had 2 industrial fans facing the walk way not not the bowling lanes. We only stayed because we were celebrating my sister in law's birthday. If it wasn't a celebration we would of left. The kitchen kept going off line so getting food and drinks every other time would have to be cash. Also the bowling lanes were freezing and when the balls got jammed it was not reimbursed for the time it took for someone to come and fix it. U pay by the hour yet it our time off because they didn't fix it right away We had 18 people there we spent WELL OVER 300$ + Between bowling food and alcohol and arcade. The kitchen and bar did last call at 945. They are open till 12 or 1230. I do have to say after bowling 2 games the kids really enjoyed the video arcade. We came here to bowl on a rainy Friday night because we were looking for something to do and noticed this place! I remember my dad had gone here years ago when it was Cloverleaf lanes. This place is huge! 36 lanes, plus a restaurant and an area with arcade games! When we arrived we were informed there would be a wait, so they gave us a beeper and we went to play games in the meantime. It's a similar concept to Dave and Busters where they give you a card to swipe at the machines and you load money on it to play games and it holds the "tickets" you win from the games. They had a decent selection for it being a small-ish area. Skeeball, racing games, bowling, ring toss, air hockey, etc. We each had $10 loaded on our card and we were able to play for 30ish minutes while waiting for our lane to be available. The bowling was really fun as well! You pay by the lane for an hour so the two of us got a lane for an hour. We were able to get 2.5 games in going at a relaxed pace, so well worth the money for me. The seating areas were nice, computers up to date, and the lanes well maintained and overall a very fun time! So much nicer than most bowling alleys I've been. The restrooms are still like the old-school bowling alley ones with the lockers and the musty smell, but that's all part of the experience I suppose. The restaurant inside was closed by the time we left so we didn't get to check it out, but from what I could tell it looked like it would be good. Overall, I had a great evening. Ahhh...I've been going to Cloverleaf since I was a little kid...hey, I was born in the 70s...bowling was the "in" thing for my parents to do and it trickled down. Thus, I spent many-a-birthday party here. To me, this has always been the "Disneyworld" of bowling alleys....it's HUGE. I think there's 60 lanes or something. It's always impeccably clean which I find fascinating since bowling is not one of those "sports" that necessarily attracts the anal-retentive. And now that it's smoke-free...well c'mon people, let's bowl! I'm not sure what the standards are for reviewing bowling "centers." They have an enormous amount of "house" bowling balls to choose from (as I'm the only family member who does not own their own *gear*) and the rental shoes are really completely not gross. The fried food is greasy and hot. The Coke or MGD is cold. There's a ton of now somewhat ancient arcade games mixed with new updates. Pool is right there...back and to the left. I went with Rachel and couple other Yelpers for our meetup here. It's a typical large bowling alley: There's 60 lanes and automated computer scoring. At what it does, it does very well. We spent a bit of the time (waiting for a league to end) in the Cocktail Lounge (of course with the cheesy pink neon sign in cursive at the bar's enterence) . First time I've actually drank a bowling alley bar. Multiple TVs, a view of the lanes, and a better than expected beer selection (10 domestics plus Great Lakes and leinenkugel) ($3.50 for the Microbrews), good bartender, and cozy vinyl seats. Awesome. Just 10 bucks for 2 games and shoe rental on a Friday night. If I wanted to bowl and have a few with friends, Cloverleaf is a great option. read more

What's not to like, really? Or love? If you've been to one bowling alley, youve kinda been to them all. And if you like bowling and bowling alleys, you'll like Cloverleaf. I had flashbacks to my elementary school days when I used to be on a junior league. I think they even have the same "AccuScore" system as they did in my old alley. I experienced an odd sense of deja vu as I somehow, instinctually, knew where the restroom was. (All the way to the left, near the end, past the set of square orange lockers. Like it is in every alley!) The crowd was hopping as we arrived at around 9:40. We received a ticket and were told it would be around a 30-40 minute wait. Well, that's okay, there was a cheesy bar with a great view of the lanes! And a mini dance floor with weird Christmas figurines on it and a little blond kid with a crazy mane of curls running around! It was festive and the selection of beer was good (I had a Leinie's Sunset Wheat...ok more than one.) "Party in the USA" was on. It was fun. Bowling itself was also fun, as it always is for people who like bowling. We played two games and we each paid $10 including shoe rentals. Everyone was really nice to us, too. Went here with a group of friends on a Saturday night. It was packed but we were able to still get some lanes for the 6 of us. You can't really expect much from a place who hasn't remodeled since the 80s. Your typical bowling alley. They got like 60 lanes and heard they do tournaments here too. They do have a bar/lounge inside and drinks are dirt cheap. Coronas for $3.50, special bomb shots I think were $3 a piece. A couple of TVs in the lounge but nothing to rave much about. This place also got a pool hall in the back, an arcade, and your typical carny food (nachos, mediocre hot dogs, overpriced beverages and chips, etc). Shoe rentals $3. We were luckily playing unlimited from a friend that frequents there so can't really complain. Overall fun night with some great peeps. read more

Closest bowling alley to my house happens to be my favorite bowling alley here in Cleveland. Seems like a busy happening place, parking lot can get full quick. Also had pool tables, karaoke on Saturdays. A little surprised they stop serving food at 10 on a Friday night. I was very disappointed with the service we received 10/26/20. First, we asked if we could bring food in because we scheduled a children's party and was not informed that the kitchen was not open. Your employee named Chris told us repeatedly we could not bring food in. It wasn't until another worker came and informed our party on the kitchen situation. Then I requested if Chris would give me a bowling slide for my toddler. He not only did not get it so I had to, he had an issue when I addressed him about it. I was just able to drop of the gift because I left before I felt the need to escalate the situation more. And the manager was there! Horrible customer service. read more

Our family loves this place! It's convenient being near a major highway and close to home. The renovation that was done is very nice. We play a game of bowling, have some yummy food, that even a picky 4 year old will eat, and hit the arcade to end our fun. Went in to shoot pool on a Saturday night. It was full of bowling leagues and crowded! But of the 13 billiards tables, only 4 were in use. $8 an hour for pool. No music is played during the leagues...bummer. The chucklef*ck of the whole thing was the bar. I walked up the ramp into what felt like a cruise ship bar/club. The neon strip lighting and Usher blasting in the overhead speakers made me laugh. But the bartenders were super friendly and nice to chat up. All bottled beers and a decent selection with a heavy slant towards domestics. Large bowling alley, automatic scoring. How can you go wrong here? read more

It would be nice if management (Dan) wouldn't charge people for games that they clearly couldn't play. They now close (2 hours) earlier than listed online and they didn't bother to tell us (or several other groups of people) that they were closing in an hour even though we were purchasing multiple games for a group of 6 people (or suggest that we should play on two lanes rather than one). They didn't offer a refund or offer to let us finish out the game in progress. Rather, they just powered down the lanes in the middle of a frame. read more

Great facility. Very clean and fun for all ages. My kids enjoyed the bumper bowling as well as the arcade games. The arcade games were just like what Dave and Busters has but it was much cheaper and the kids were able to get some great prizes with their tickets. The bar by the bowling lanes was great with a ton of craft beers and cocktails. Their food menu was also elaborate with speciality burgers, pizza and appetizers. I went to Cloverleaf with a group of about 30 last night for bowling. First we're told that we can't bring in a birthday cake because the owner gets a little salty. The bowling alley doesn't provide birthday cakes so I don't see what the big deal is... Then I got my shoes and had to return them because one shoe was so jacked up. I finally went in search of balls. I'm a wimpy girl and I need a light weight which was impossible to track down. Once I did find some 8 pounders, the finger holes were impossibly small! Totally kid-size. Their scoring system is archaic and could use a serious update. At one point, numerous balls in our lane had gotten stuck and it held us up for a while. Yes, it's nice that the bowling alley is enormous, but I doubt I'll be returning. The bar was decent even though they didn't serve any draft beer -- one of the few redeeming qualities. read more
