Went here Friday to see a band. Sitting on the patio was a great experience. It was comfortable and didn't feel over crowded even though the place was packed. I had the pretzel and fried pickles and both were really good. I'll definitely go back. If I had to give one complaint it's that they put a $25 hold on your card. I didn't notice and signage stating that they would place that hold but the hold itself was fine with me given the way site is laid out with the bar, patio, driving range and other area they have there, I can see it being fairly simple loss track of who is where. read more

We had not been to Mr. Divots since the remodel and upgrade! The place is very beautiful and the bar area hopping! The food was fantastic. We all ordered burgers and tots, and it doesn't get better! Our waitress was responsive and sweet and very happy in her job. So nice to see! The only major complaint is the sound absorption. Needs more absorbers to allow better conversation. We went here to play putt putt, but due to the weather we were unable to, but we did get food and ice cream. We were told the menu was wrong, so the menu was limited due to no grill. The ice cream however was very good. The staff was patient and kind. Prices are average. There are other activities to do their as well. Will try to go back when the weather is better. read more

Don't go here, we tried the batting cage last week for my grandson. First off only 3 out of 4 cages available 1 was tagged out of order. The machines are inoperable they jam up, throw the balls too low landing way before the plate. You have to get help from the girl at the ice cream shop but she gave up. I lost $30 trying to get things to work. I emailed the owner for a refund and she basically told me sorry but no refund. Again don't go here, noticed weeds growing up everywhere, the place is so run down. I could hear the workers in the kitchen arguing using filthy language. Not a place for kids. Golf and get ice cream. It makes for a fun combination on a warm day. Mr. Divot's is a typical miniature golf course with some other things. Batting cages and other athletic facilities. The grill has typical greasy stuff like burgers but has ice cream too. Being a miniature golf course it's not an upscale facility. It looks like it's pretty old. The holes are kept up better than expected though. It doesn't have that much variety between the holes. The decorations are the main difference, and these are looking pretty beat up. As for the ice cream, this is the best part of the entire facility. In the girl you can order burgers and stuff. The ice cream is what you should get though. They also have Dole Whip. It's about $3 for a bowl. They have several changing flavors. If you like miniature golf you can do better than here. It still is good enough for a fun time. I cannot say anything bad about this adorable little ice cream place. No, it's not 100 flavors, it's just soft serve, but they have a ton of options, a whips! Have you ever had a dole whip? It's literally the same thing but in different flavors. Sadly, they are not dairy free (which sucks for me), but I've tried a spoon full of all of them and they are delicious and refreshing! They also have all the fixings for an ice cream sundae as well as popsicles, milkshakes, and so much more. My personal favorite are the popsicles -- great for kids and those who can't have ice cream! They also have hot foods, including hot dogs, onion rings, poppers . . . The list goes on and on Now this place is more than just ice cream, there's a sports bar, batting cage, driving rage, and putt putt (all have an individual listing). My fiancé has done putt putt when we was a kid, and the course seems like fun; we just have not done it yet. This is a "no frills" ice cream shop, but with all the fixings. They went from having the premier batting cages in Northeast Ohio, with full Iron Mike pitching arms, which are the most realistic to hit from, to the despicable spinning wheel type. These are the least effective machines to hit from and do not provide develo0pmental benefit or training as there is no relation to facing live pitching. In addition, the hitting area is now a confined netted space, which is just like every other batting cage around. they lost their uniqueness, and there is absolutely no reason to go there. Several better options are in the local area, so they get an F for failing to do any research or recognizing what their customers desired. I used to spend several hundred dollars a year there, not to mention spending at the Ice Cream building and the bar next door. Now I will never patronize it again. what a terrible waste. read more

This place is a dump. It's a shame how neglected it is. This place was amazing when I was a kid. Awesome mini golf, bumper cars, batting cages, volley ball, driving range, tennis ball cannons. They pretty much let everything go and be reclaimed by nature. The mini golf course isn't taken care of, the fountains probably haven't worked since the 90s, the batting cages are in shambles, the water balloon fight thing is no longer operable, volley ball courts are gone. Took my kids here to show them a good time, at least the ice cream is still decent. Everything else here looks like a post apocalyptic nightmare. read more

I've always loved Divot's. I really want to give them a higher rating because of my childhood memories and love of the little ice cream shoppe. I love that they have different flavors every week and I don't feel like they're priced on their ice cream. Definitely recommend the Strawberry/Blue Raspberry Whipps! Their putt putt course is perfect for my 4 year old. It's $4 for his age, which is perfect when I just have him play. Their course could use a little updating but I do notice that every few years they re-paint. They put a lot of detailed work into it, too. I'd love to see an overall course update though. And I miss the running water they had. Not quite sure why they stopped that. read more

Came to Mr Divot's mini golf for the first time. The pricing wasn't terrible, $7 admission. The course was pretty beat up. The decorations were old. The holes were very similar to each other. The staff was friendly though! I didn't get around to trying their ice cream though. There are other mini golf places around that are much better than this. It wasn't busy which was nice! read more

Cheap to play and not a great course. Needs some updating. Closest one to my house though. Good course for my son who is three. The ice cream shop there was very good. As a kid my mom would take my sisters and I here to play putt-putt and get ice cream, so when I recently drove by this place (Im rarely in the area anymore) I had to pay a visit. We paid $5.50 for a black cherry shake and a mango whip (soft serve sherbet). Not bad. Then we walked around the area and I saw that the putt-putt course was exactly as I remembered it. The last time I was there was 12 years ago. I was pleased that nothing had changed. Maybe that means I'm getting old, but I think the place is charming. We didn't play any mini golf, but man I do remember that course being pretty challenging with the steep inclines and loop-de-loops you have to shoot the ball through. So, Mr. Divot's has a whole complex, with a driving range, sand volleyball courts, batting cages, miniature golf, kids rides, ice cream, grill, and then a separate bar and restaurant as well. I give the entire complex 5 stars for the variety they provide and everything you have in one place. Literally there is something for everyone. Yes Divots can use some updating, things are mostly how they were back when you were a kid. There's quite a bit of charm to that though everyone doesn't see it that way. The stands where you write your score always are signed with things from patrons (used to be the classic for a good time call and then they list a number, but now it's follow me and then an Instagram address), not always appropriate. The course itself has a few modifications to existing structures on holes like a different theme or paint job, but for the most part (with the exception of the caboose on #9 which was subbed for the 3 rocks) the obstacles are the same as they've always been. The price is $5 for kids and $7 for adults, though if you go with your child about 75% of the time they ask the child if they want to go through the course again (for free). Not always what a parent wants to hear in the sun and heat, but still a nice gesture. The ice cream is great (allergy friendly, at least for peanuts if you tell them) and the fried/grilled food is good too. Prices are fair food the food and the people are fast and friendly, with everything being made right when you order. I absolutely recommend coming here, you can enjoy some aspect of Divots no matter what age you are. It would be nice to have the running water again, but they've kept the course in good shape over the years. read more

My boyfriend and I had a coupon, so we decided to give it a shot. Mini golf is one of our favorite date ideas, so we are trying as many courses in the area as we can. I remember liking this course a lot as a child, so I was really looking forward to it. The sky was darkening and looked like it was going to rain so we hurriedly played, and we were the only people on the course. I liked the layout of many of the holes, they offered a variety of obstacles and paths. However, some of them needed serious upkeep. The obstacles that moved were pretty rickety. Also, there were puddles all over the greens and one hole had so much mud on it that our balls got stuck in it and we had to fish them out. Overall, a very average mini golf experience. If they took better care of the greens, I'm sure it would be better. I am still glad we came and checked it out though, since I spent a lot of time as a child here. This is apparently where all the parents of annoying pre-teens come to drop off their kids and allow them to be unsupervised little jerks. That's a whole different issue I guess, but this place didn't do anything for me to help me overlook the other clientele. The one upside is it's cheap. But it's pretty much all open space with pretty boring holes. There are no shaded areas on the course, so if it's hot out, you're in for a looong 18 holes. I would have liked to try the ice cream but it was just crawling with rude kids (visitors, not staff) so my son and I went somewhere else. The kid working the golf window was really nice though. Maybe this place would be more enjoyable with a smaller crowd on a not-so-sunny day, but it seems there are other options that are far more desirable. read more

Mr. Divots offers a quality driving range at a reasonable price. The facility has a very "redneck" themed design, with a junk car and other junk items on the range in lieu of yard/distance flags. It sounds awful, but it's actually really cool. There are always golfers of all types here, from semi-professionals in traditional golf appearel to typical novices, and even first-time golfers who rented clubs from Mr. Divots. It is a very friendly atmosphere, and nothing like what you would see at a traditional driving range. There is also a restaurant/bar attached, a volleyball court, batting cages, mini golf, and an ice cream shop. If you are looking for something fancy, then this is not the place for you, but if you are looking to hqve fun for a decent price, then I highly reccomend that you give Mr. Divots a try. read more

Worst miniature golf course ever! It's cheap -- only $5 a person but the course itself is very lame and in poor condition. Ya know that part where they paid it blue because it's filled with water? No, they have weeds. I was less than impressed and have been every time I've been there. They do have a good sports bar in the back and their ice cream shop is decent. Those are their only saving graces. If you're in the area, a trip down State Road to Buzzard's Cove is much, much better. read more

The driving range is a nice relaxation where u can just sit back and hammer the balls. The range is long, at around 400 yrds u can really get an idea how far one can drive. What I like about this place more than anything is the fact u go on any given day and u will find just about anyone here. Meaning it is not stuck up. Been going to Mr. Divot's for years, it's a hometown classic. Stopped by to play some putt putt with my two year old son. The course is a bit outdated and rather pricey for a two year old to play ($12 for 1 adult and 1 child). Some of the holes have been updated but still lacking in areas. Would have loved to have seen running water around the tall lighthouse hole. Still holds a special places in my heart but could use some work; or lower the price! read more

Used to be best batting cages around, now they are the worst! No upkeep of the machines. Staff was lazy and/or untrained. Several adult players were there Saturday 4/272013 to hit and the machine was horrible. Torn, split and old, dirty baseballs are the norm. Staff said they could not fix the machine speed (WAY too slow) and balls were way too high. Taking my money elsewhere until they invest in repairing machines and replacing the baseballs. read more
