Plus, it's right next door to Dairy Queen... what more could you ask for? But what really stood out to me was the employee working during my visit. His name is Billy, and I was genuinely impressed. First, I noticed him sweeping the parking lot (who even does that anymore?). Then he was cleaning off the picnic tables, and later blowing leaves off the course. He wasn't being supervised--he was simply taking pride in his work. In a time when it's hard to find people who go above and beyond, Billy truly stood out. If I owned a business, I'd be trying to recruit him in a heartbeat. Kudos to Billy for his outstanding work ethic, and kudos to Mentor Mini Golf for having such a dedicated employee. If you're looking for a fun, well-kept course with great atmosphere, this is the place to go!

There is also a nice snack bar with a tropical fishtank about halfway through the course. There's not a lot of extravagant drinks there (don't expect a martini or a grasshopper or anything like that), but there is a good variety of beers, wines, IPAs, and seltzers for the adults as well as slushies and sodas for the kids. As for the course, it's incredible what they've been able to do with such a small space. They've basically snaked 19 holes around a fairly large basement area that begins and ends in the same spot, and each hole (save five or so in the middle that are essentially one big diorama and two holes making up an ocean area) has its own theme. There are animatronics, sound effects, and painting tricks that work well with the 3D glasses, but it's not necessary to wear them to enjoy the experience. I highly recommend this place with some caveats. Try to go during times of lower traffic. Weekend/weekday mornings and the first couple of hours on Sundays tend to be the least busy and allow for a more relaxed play experienced. If you find it is crowded, I can't believe it has to be said, but please be respectful to your fellow golphers. A lot of the bad reviews on here seem to be more about inconsiderate customers than the quality of the course. Keep in mind that as I said, the space is a bit cramped due to the maze-like layout of the place, so respecting personal space and waiting your turn is a must here. Also, you're not just paying to play, you're paying to see the artwork. Trust me, there are a lot of cool little details in the displays and on the walls that people don't seem to pay attention to when they speed through the course. To use a restaurant metaphor: the place may look like fast food to be consumed and devoured, but it's more complex than that and should be taken in and savored.

Supposedly the manager has been made aware, but no fix after a few weeks according to a staff member.
