We LOVED our wedding flowers from Whitney and the Spinning Web team! I planned my Hawaii wedding from Korea and never actually met Whitney in person, but we exchanged multiple emails and she was always extremely professional, responsive and helpful! I sent Whitney a ton of pinterest posts, pictures and mock-ups of what we were looking for and she completely realized our vision! She was also very flexible and worked with us to help us stay within our budget without sacrificing our design. Thank you to Whitney and the Spinning Web team for our gorgeous flowers and for helping to make our wedding day so beautiful! read more

Spinning Web Florist - Our gorgeous ceremony arch and flowers from Spinning Web florists :) PC: Christie Pham Photography - Florists Near Me - Honolulu, Hawaii

Wendy is one of the best florists on the island! I can across her when I was planning a wedding. Although I wasn't able to work with her for the wedding (because she wasn't the hotels "preferred vendor") I've always loved her work. Recently, I started asking her to make floral arrangements for special occasions (Mother's Day, Birthdays etc.) I'm always sending flowers to people and ran into some challenges with other local florists and needed a reliable florist. Although primarily they do events she always makes the time to do my arrangements. They're timely and professional and I have NEVER been disappointed or embarrassed of sending sub par flowers!! Note: She's best reached by email :) Definitely recommend her! read more

Wendy and her team absolutely amazed me at my wedding. I met Wendy through my planner, Jenn, of Savvy Weddings. I sent Jenn a picture of a bouquet that I saw on Pinterest (because we ALL plan our dream weddings on there) and Wendy was able to recreate the bouquet for myself and my bridesmaids. She was very quick and efficient. Her decorations for our ceremony were beautiful and withstood the strong gusts of wind coming off the Koolau mountains. Everyone commented on how beautiful everything was. Wendy also put the final touches on my cake, which helped to tie the look of everything together. She is very creative and great at her job. She greeted me with a big hug and made me feel like I had known her for years. I highly recommend Wendy and her team at Spinning Web to add the beautiful floral touches to your big day! read more

SWF was my florist for my wedding reception on July 2, 2016. They showed up on time and the bouquets were gorgeous. A handful of months before my wedding, I needed a florist and they came highly recommended. Emails were exchanged and they worked with my budget. I met with Whitney at the Wedding Cafe and things went well. On the morning of my wedding, they helped bring my tables from the garage area at Sunset Ranch to my reception area. They were so nice because they didn't have to do that. The reason why I knocked off 1 star was because I wasn't expecting fake christmas tree garland in my table runners (leaf garland) and my haka (flower crown) was nothing like the picture I showed/emailed to Whitney. So, I was a little disappointed. The haka was was pink, white, pink, white, etc. flowers. My wedding colors were pale blue and lavender (mentioned to her, due to my bouquet). I was looking for a leafy haka with 1 or 2 flowers. All and all, I would use them again. They were able to work with me and what I wanted. They were helpful on the day of and I appreciated that. read more

I hired Spinning Web for my wedding last week at the Moana Surfer hotel. They did an amazing job. Whitney helped me every step along the way. She was so patient with me and her response time was lightening fast! They were able to work with my budget and recommended the linen company I used too! They were extremely professional and all of my floral arrangements came out exactly as had been discussed. read more

We are very disappointed with our experience and wedding flowers ordered from Spinning Web. I had exchanged over 70 emails with Whitney. I was very prompt, paid attention to deadlines, deposits, final orders, had final quantities done over a month in advance. She was very lackluster with her service, and full of errors on sending back "updated" proposals with revisions I had just sent. Because of this, we wanted to meet with her to sit down and discuss our wedding look. Instead she sent her designer, who did not take any of my notes and photos back. I had printed out the current proposal indicating what needed updated, along with new photos, diagrams and arrows. Instead he said he will discuss what we talked about with Whitney, and for me just to email the photos later. When receiving the updated proposal from after our meeting, our name was still spelled wrong, the types of flowers we wanted were not entered, design descriptions were incorrect. In the end, the head table, bouquets, and even centerpieces were not what we wanted. For example, our proposal and photos clearly showed to include lite flowers within the garland for our head table. And to our surprise, when walking into our reception we saw a whole row of plain green, what looked like weeds along our bridal party table (the main table everyone looks at). For the price we had paid for the head piece, flowers should have been sprinkled throughout. Would not recommend this florist to any bride. If I were to offer any input to Spinning Web, Whitney please make time to meet directly with the bride and groom, as you are the one who determines the pricing. Also offer to do a test/model of a centerpiece to ensure your clients are happy with the end result. Couples typically spending thousands of dollars on wedding flowers and would like to ensure they are getting what they want. read more

Spinning Web Florist did an absolutely AMAZING job for my destination wedding at Paradise Cove in July of 2019. My journey with them as my wedding florist began in September of 2018 when I met with one of their employees, Ryan, to discuss my wedding. I was there on a short vacation to meet with my vendors. He was friendly, a great listener and made the experience FUN! With minimal explanation of what I wanted, which was, "simple, elegant and natural looking," he was able to sketch exactly what my arch would look like, what type of bouquet I should have and what flowers we should use for family members and the cake. Fast forward to the following summer on my wedding day and everything came out just as he had described and even BETTER in real life. With minimal decorations for my wedding overall, the flowers really were the star of the show and I am so thankful to Spinning Web Florist for making my wedding day vision come true. On top of the talent they have, they are also extremely professional. Planning a wedding in Hawaii, while I live in California, was tricky at times, but they always made the time to talk to me about any changes that I wanted and they gave me "A plus" service throughout the whole process. I truly can't recommend them enough for their professionalism and quality work!!! read more

Whitney and Spinning WEB Florist are highly recommended! We inquired with a few other florists, but Whitney immediately stood out with her responsiveness & great customer service. We had no idea what we wanted for our wedding. Whitney asked for us to share some pictures of what we liked, our pinterest board, and our price range. From there, she shared ideas with us and helped to make some tweaks to be sure we could get everything we wanted within our price range. All the flower deliveries on the day of the wedding were exactly when she mentioned. The leis, bouquets, and flower arrangements were all so beautiful! It was exactly what we dreamed of! read more

I meet with Wendy 1 month before my wedding. I told her that I was going with a New Year Gold Glitter theme. And I wanted to decorate my own vases. Went over everything I wanted and she had great recommendations on even how to decorate my wedding. She stayed in contact with me throughout my wedding planning. When it came to my wedding day it was misty rain and I decided at the last moment to move my wedding. I heard my my bridesmaids that her team was so amazing. They even help suggest how to rearrange the ceremony. I was upstairs getting ready and was worried. I loved my bouquets, leis, garland for my daughter, and everything. When I came down I was so amazing my mason jars having a beautiful arrangement that made it look like gold vases. And made my cake look magical. Our wedding table was decorated beautifully. Thank you for making my dream wedding look more beautiful than I could imagine. Definitely would recommend. read more

It took a while for me to find the perfect florist, but after reaching out to Spinning WEB and chatting via email with Whitney, I knew I wanted them to create my wedding flowers! Whitney was really friendly and professional, very responsive on email and very accommodating to any changes (and I had quite a few changes during a couple months leading up to the wedding!!). I conveyed to her the colors and type of flowers I wanted for my wedding and the overall color theme of the event. She was so helpful throughout the process and worked within my budget! I am based in Los Angeles - when I did visit Hawaii two months before my wedding, I reached out to her on the last minute to meet up and Whitney responded that same day saying she could meet up the next day. The meeting went really well - my husband and I got to meet her in person, and went over the flower designs and all details pertaining to the wedding! My wedding flowers included table centerpieces, cake flowers, welcome table flowers, welcome signage flowers, bouquets, boutonnieres, flower crown, maile leis for groomsmen and leis for my mothers. Also, it turned out that my mother-in-law recognized Spinning WEB as they had a store before going full-time for wedding services. All the flowers looked so stunning on my big day and I got so many compliments on the floral design :) I am so thankful we got such a wonderful florist and couldn't have imagined any other vendor that understood my vision and executed it perfectly. Thank you so much, Whitney and the Spinning WEB team! You guys did an amazing job on my wedding day! I highly recommend their services. read more

I had the pleasure of coordinating a wedding for a couple that selected Spinning Web as their florist. Let me just say that not only were the flowers beautiful and exactly what the client had asked for but the team who delivered and setup went above and beyond to make this day absolutely amazing. Reuben and David were on site and created a beautiful arch design and floral design down the aisle way. Unfortunately the weather did not cooperate with us and the entire setup had to be relocated to under a tent. Through the rain David and Reuben recreated the beautiful setup so that the bride and groom would be able to get married in front of the arch as planned. I cannot give enough thanks to the wonderful team and look forward to working with them again! read more

Was really good working with Whitney from spinning web, was able to arrange several meetings to discuss what I wanted and also very helpful in bringing down the cost to match my budget. It's so hard to know what the final product will be as they have to use flowers that are in season, so my biggest recommendation is to provide endless amounts of photos/inspo to get the closest to what you want! Florists aren't cheap, but spinning web was very reasonable after negotiating and making some sacrifices to fit Into our budget. Whitney was always lovely and responding to my never-ending emails!! On the wedding day, everything ran smoothly, the deliveries were on time and everything looked absolutely beautiful :) flowers were fresh, only remark was that the stalks on the bouquets were slightly too long, but you also need to keep in mind that Hawaii is super hot and humid so clipped flowers don't get a fighting chance to stay fresh without water...so the bouquets were delivered with exposed stems in water- they lasted the whole day which id prefer. Great service, affordable price but my advice is to ensure it all runs smoothly is to know your colours, have plenty of photos to show them including dresses etc so they can match your vision as best as possible. They did very well with my wedding and I'm so thankful :) read more

Planning a wedding from a different countries has its difficulties but working with Wendy made it that much easier. I gave her a few ideas I wanted and then she took and ran with it. I fell in love with Wendy's style and excitement when I sat down to have a consultation with her. After our meeting I knew she was the one I wanted to have for our wedding. Unfortunately, that is the last I heard from Wendy. We ended up choosing an amazing florist, but I was really disappointed in the lack of response. I emailed her a couple times (which I should not have to do) following up about the proposal she was supposed to send, she responded that she would send it, but I never received anything. To bad, since I would have spent a lot of money with her had she sent the proposal. read more

Spinning WEB Florist has been in business for over 16 years and is one of the top wedding florists on the island. Not only do they make beautiful wedding arrangements but they make creative and unique arrangements. They don't only make "local" style arrangements but everything in-between. They do high-end work for a good price. Wendy did my wedding and everything came out beautiful and more than I expected. She listened to what I wanted and gave me some ideas as well. They are hard to book since brides book more than a year in advance sometimes but they do try to accommodate you if you are planning a wedding in 3 months like me. I would recommend this florist to anyone who needs flowers. You won't be disappointed!! read more

Absolutely loved Wendy and the crew from Spinning Web. First of all, I had only 6 months to plan my wedding and let's just say, I was a hot mess. I had no idea where to start and had all kinds of crazy ideas. I met with Wendy and she was so patient with me. I met with her several times to help myself get grounded and......with her guidance, I picked a color theme based upon orchids. She stayed within our budget and was even nice enough to sell us favor boxes at a price no other place could match. From there, I knew what kind of invitations to get. She was even nice enough to create samples of our centerpieces and favors! The end result was a wedding with flowers that matched my husband and I's style. We got tons of compliments and my cousin even decided to book Wendy for her wedding. And let's just say my cousin's wedding was stunning as well. read more

Lets say I got the bad end of the stick. The owner insulted my wife. Wife had a mtg with her, she was excited having her part of our wedding. Wife gave owner an idea how she wanted her flowers for our wedding and that she wanted it so that it would meet our budget. Owner looked at my wife engagement ring and then gave her a chuckle. She told my wife that: " of course you cant spend alot, the money went to the hotel". Wife felt like she was being judged and that the owner thinks that we have alot of money. the owner was rushing to get through the meeting. Wife thought she was biased cuz we wasnt a rich couple and that all she thought about was money. read more

I was disappointed. Spinning Web was pricier than the other florists I got quotes from. I thought it would be worth it, but it definitely wasn't. They must have had family and friends give them these glowing reviews. The aesthetician I hired to do our hair/makeup told me I should complain and ask for a refund. In the hustle and bustle of everything I never got around to it, although I probably should have. read more

First, let me just say that the florals itself were OKAY. The delivery itself was on time (early actually). Wendy, my contact person, was friendly and accommodating, and her responsiveness was good enough. And the price was affordable and right. My issues were with: 1) Color, 2) Professionalism and 3) Packaging. Color: (3 Stars) I got in touch with Wendy via her website form and after initial contact, I sent her example photos of bouquets that I liked (yellow daisies and calla lilies). Unfortunately, the bouquet I received (while beautiful) was nothing like the ones I had shown her. It was less calla lilies and definitely drowning in orchids and the orchid color that I expected to be a bright sunny yellow (like the photos I sent) was instead a dull and orange-like yellow. Professionalism: (2 Stars) When the details were finalized and I ask for a final quote, Wendy sent back a text email which was, although itemized, did not have any formatting or alignment and was therefore difficult to read. I expected a PDF quote or something more organized, maybe with a logo? I wasn't sure if she was going to provide something other than this email in terms of an invoice, so just for the sake of organization and easy reading, I put together the details we discussed into a single page document and sent it in with the signed contract and check payment. After I sent the payment and waited a week, I followed up with her to make sure she received the payment. She responded that she did, four days prior, and attached a receipt to the email. The receipt was titled with what was supposed to be my name (spelled my name as Kristin, which is completely wrong). The receipt itself was really sad. It was a basic Word template with no logo. There was "[Insert Date]" text where the invoice date was supposed to be filled in, but was absently left in template form. There was no itemization at all, just the deposit amount and a "PAID via check" line. Not even showing the balance left due. I guess I was just expecting more attention to detail and presentation here. Packaging: (1 Star) While the florals were delivered on time and looked fine, the box in which the bridal bouquet was seated was just a square shallow box with a large hole in it. Because the box was so shallow, the bouquet handle did not sit inside the box but instead lay at an angle, leaving half my bridal bouquet squashed up against the box. I have seen other florist deliver the bridal bouquet in a tall box (almost like a cardboard vase and presentable for photographing) fit so that the bouquet handle is completely suspended and the bouquet florals are left presented but safe from being squashed. My bouquet easily rolled around in this large shallow square box, which was not suited for photographing and somewhat disappointing. Lastly, the entire delivery (bouquet, leis, florals) was sent in a long thin cardboard container, which was flimsy and difficult to carry, and covered in plastic wrap. I have seen other florist deliver their florals in solid insulated containers with lids (complete with coolpaks) to keep the florals fresh and protected during transport. I give Spinning WEB Florist 2 Stars because while the florals itself were okay, I've experienced better bridal florist services elsewhere. read more

Vendor was recommended by my wedding coordinator and I'm glad I went with spinning web. Prior to going with Wendy, I met with various florists and found that not only was Wendy the most reasonably priced, but she also seemed to be the most knowledgable about the types of flowers in season. I wanted peonies but she told me right away that if she were able to get them, they would be really expensive and ruin my budget. She presented other flower options and showed pictures of other bouquet and centerpieces so I could see what the flower looked like. After deciding to go with Wendy I was still a little worried about how things would turn out. I had a destination wedding so I was hesitant that the flowers wouldn't turn out as how I had imagined. But the day came and the flowers looked perfect. Much better than i expected! I am so happy with the flowers. read more

Whitney and her team were such a pleasure to work with! She was very good at helping us come up with flower arrangements in our budget, and was super easy to work with whenever we needed to make changes or add on something (added flowers to a cake at the last minute!). Her team was super quick at setting up the arch and flowers for the ceremony then taking everything down and moving things to the reception site. Wendy and her team did a fantastic job at my wedding. Everything from the ceremony arbor and flower clusters to the bouquets to the reception centerpieces to my sweetheart table and cake florals were absolutely beautiful. I loved my bouquet, my bridesmaid bouquets, and my mother's corsage bracelet. During the dinner prayer, I took a minute to look around at the centerpieces and tried to take in the whole ambiance of my reception. I loved the reception centerpieces and the pops of orange and plum throughout. Wendy even included some orange title lilies in my floral clusters, which excited me because those are my favorite flowers. We also had a lot of really good comments from our guests on how much they liked my reception centerpieces and ceremony clusters. Wendy was very easy to work with. I planned my Waikiki wedding from my home in Las Vegas, so a lot of my correspondence was done via email and Wendy always responded in a timely manner. I was fortunate to meet with Wendy in person and had a great planning meeting. She is very knowledgeable about all of the different types of flowers (and there are tons), had a lot of pictures which helped me visualize my wedding and had a lot of great ideas. She made sure to capture my vision. My mother was a little nervous about the flowers at first because, without pictures or seeing it in person, she had a hard time envisioning all of my floral elements in one place. But from the moment that the bouquets arrived in my room, she started to get excited about all of the flowers. And at the end of the night, she told me how well put together our ideas were and loved all of the flowers. I can't thank Spinning Web enough for the awesome job they did. read more

I had a horrible experience with this florist. i asked this florist my wedding bouquet. She promised to deliver the bouquet by 9:00am to the hotel front desk. At 9:45 after finishing the hair and make up, I noticed that the bouquet had not delivered yet. I panicked and stressed out so much....you don't want to have such a experience as a bride!!! I called her and found out that it was still on the way...she should have called me to notify the delay. it was delivered more than one hour later. When I received it, I noticed that the bouquet was not exactly what I ordered. She told me that the initial of my new last name will be on the handle with beads, but it was not there. I was so furious with the service but I tried to switch my mind to concentrate the wedding ceremony. It was so stressful. After I came back from my honeymoon, I emailed the florist and claimed the service. She offered me the full refund. But I didn't get the refund after that. I waited a week, and send her email asking about the refund. She just ignored my email. After all, I filed the dispute to my credit card company to get my money back. Very UNPROFESSIONAL. I don't recommend this florist...at all. read more

Wendy makes beautiful bouquets! She listens to your wants, advises on what flowers will be in season and will hold up in a bouquet, and is conscientious about your budget. I had several phone meetings with her to finalize my reception flowers and couldn't meet her until 3 days prior to the wedding. She assured me that I didn't have to worry about a thing - she couldn't have been more right. The bouquets, leis, and boutonnières were delivered to my room the morning of the wedding. The bouquets were amazing, so big and gorgeous! The leis were beautiful as well and mine was so fragrant I didn't want to take it off! The reception site was photographed before I even saw it; I couldn't have wanted anything more! It was exactly what we had discussed. I highly recommend Wendy!! read more

Last minute I was a chicken without a head trying to find a good florist for my bridal bouquet. I emailed and called several places and decided upon spinning web florists. Reviews were great along with the pictures. I fell in love with the design of bouquets she had provided in the past for brides. I called and spoke with the owner Wendy. She was very sweet and was able to do a phone consultation. She asked what I was looking for and when I needed it by. She also asked for my height and the style of my ensemble in which I texted her. I was able to email her the various types of flowers I was looking at on yelp. She then informed me that it was best that I get a 8inch bouquet in which she would incorporate the colors of stones on my dress. It's usually a pretty penny when it comes to purchasing quality for a wedding big or small. I had requested red kalalilies, purple orchids, and lilies. The only thing that I can say that was a con was that it could've been a little bit more decorative on the handle and with more flowers. I felt it was a bit small. Next time I'll get in the shop and have a better relationship into relaying my ideas then over the phone:) read more

I went with Spinning Web because she has been around all my life. Everyone used to go to her when she was just a small shop in town. I can say many of my prom or banquet dates got my bouquets from Spinning Web. When searching for a florist it was no question that I wanted to go with them. We met with the owner Wendy who was very professional, organized and honestly helped us set up the theme and vision for what we were looking for. After meeting with her, it was honestly a sigh of relief. She was very honest about prices, different options we could do, and how things would look, also about not freaking out when she does not get back to you right away because believe me, she is a very busy woman. When doing mock ups, she made an actual centerpiece with the lights and water and florals to see what it would look like with our table sheers and if there was anything we wanted to change. On the day of the wedding, she arrived on time and immediately went to work. She knew exactly what to do. I honestly only saw her in the beginning while I was getting ready and that was it. Everything was so beautiful and honestly, it was not until after the wedding that my husband and his mother pointed a few things out to me, which disappointed me a little. One being that left the bag of white petals at the end of the aisle and never made our light pathway design going down the aisle. Last, my family had made ti leaf leis to create the aisle ways with the orchid sprays coming off the chairs..my mom told me they were left out. I honestly feel that there was probably miscommunication with my family and so much going on which is why these things did not get completed. Overall, I still would recommend her, lots of people love her-i still LOVE her and her works of art and she definitely is able to work with all budgets. She goes BEYOND what others do and like I said, she helped set the vision for our day and everyone still is complimenting us that it is one of the most gorgeous weddings they've been to. read more

Wendy did an amazing job for my wedding. I first saw her work at a local bridal expo, and later saw that she was affiliated with The Wedding Cafe. From the beginning, I explained to her that I was a bride on a budget. I did not have "typical" floral budget as the average bride has, but I still had big visions on how I wanted the flowers and decor to look. During the planning process I was worried that my vision couldn't be accomplished because of my limited budget, but on my wedding day I was absolutely amazed at how gorgeous everything looked. The flowers she chose were beautiful and matched/complimented my wedding color scheme perfectly. My bouquet was gorgeous, and the bridesmaids bouquets were equally beautiful. I highly recommend her to any bride who dreams big when it comes to wedding floral and decor!! read more

I hired Spinning Web florist for a romantic dinner on the beach in Oahu's North Shore at sunset. I also wanted them to arrange for a chuppah/canopy to be placed on the beach with florals attached. The florals were beautiful and the chuppah was amazing. Their crew was very friendly and professional and were really good sports about waiting until after sunset to take the chuppah/canopy down in the dark. They arranged for a chandelier to be attached to the canopy with little led lights in them which made the atmosphere totally romantic. The couple was floored when they saw it. They also brought beautiful fabric in soft white and turquoise blue to drape over the chuppah with starfish decor attached. We are very grateful to have used their services and highly recommend them for any of the canopy needs. read more

Spinning Web was okay to work with. I booked them because they were the cheapest company that accomplished all the tasks I needed. They were easy to communicate with through email and phone calls. They redid my proposal 3 times to get exactly what I wanted on paper, I sent them photos, sizes and flower types of what I wanted, I even sent over pictures of the preserved extra bouquets that I had ordered so that the live flowers could look somewhat similar (I literally sent them examples of what I wanted). My goal was tons of greenery with flowers added in. What I got on my wedding day were mostly filler flowers and some greenery. The specific flowers and plants that I asked for were included but there were very few of them, most of the decorations were filled up with cheaper flowers. While I will admit the flowers were still beautiful, they were not at all what I envisioned. I wish that if Spinning Web knew they weren't going to be able to make something that resembled what I wanted, they should have talked to me and shown me what to expect instead of having two different types of flower decorations spread throughout my wedding. read more

Whitney and her team at Spinning Web Florist made all my wedding floral dreams come true! We had them booked over a year in advance after my family attended the Ko'olau Ballrooms Vendor Open House and saw their work (I currently live in the mainland and couldn't attend). Speaking of accommodating, we had multiple rain calls the day of (during set up) and her team was so patient with trying to set up in the rain then moving everything to the backup location in the lobby (thank you so much you guys! Sorry you got wet). They delivered flowers to the hotel in Waikiki the morning of too so we could have our flowers in the pictures. Although there was a shortage of Pikake that season, the replacement they used (Pakalana) was gorgeous! My arch was to die for (simply amazing and my favorite piece), the groomsmen double ti-leaf leis for the over 6 foot groomsmen were perfect, the Maile lei twisted with Pakalana on the navy groom suit complimented nicely, and all of the bouquets (all white, garden roses, no peonies because they're not in season, hydrangeas, and other white flowers were gorgeously wrapped in jeweled handles and teal ribbon. Our sweetheart table had a similar design like our arch and the arch flowers were repurposed to decorate the bottom length of the table. Amazing work (and trust me, they worked hard in the rain!) Communication was never an issue, payment process was simple, and no problems I can think of. I would hire this company over and over again! Mahalo Nui Loa! read more
