I finally got some new ink from my favorite tattoo artist, Juan Martinez. It's been 16 years since my last ink therapy session with him, and I have to say, his talent never disappoints. Even though the Dallas Cowboys are testing my patience right now, they're still my team. I made sure this tattoo reflected who I am--someone who's been a diehard Cowboys and Texas Rangers fan since childhood. I also added a tribute to DJ Screw, representing the music that shaped me over the years. Finally, I included the Texas State Capitol building to symbolize Austin, my home away from home. While I miss DFW, growing up means moving on. I've kept in touch with Juan over the years, ever since a friend introduced us. He did my first piece in memory of my mother before she passed, and I've trusted him ever since. Juan owns the shop, and when you walk in, you're welcomed by a chill vibe: a pool table, a couch, a TV, and music setting the tone for good vibes. The shop has three separate studios where they offer piercings, tattoos, and even tattoo removal. Parking in front of the building can be tight, but there's extra parking across the street near the Domino's Pizza. Juan is an incredible artist, and you can't go wrong choosing him for your ink therapy. He maintains a clean, professional setup needles are always sealed and properly disposed of in biohazard containers after each session. I booked my appointment a couple of months in advance, and he was flexible with my schedule since I was traveling in from Austin. 3 stars for a few reasons. Called about a piercing ahead of time and they said "yeah cmon in". 15 mins later the piercer is at lunch and was going to be back in an hour. The person that was relaying this info was extremely nice but like cmon.. Came back at the quoted time and the piercer was kind of laid up with her boyfriend on the couch. I went in with my friends to get a small tattoo, We weren't sure of what the pricing should of been for what we got but after some research and comments from other people who have also gotten small tattoos we were overcharged. We didn't think we'd be disappointed over a small tattoo but one of the artist messed up my friends tattoo, her line work was thicker than mine which made no sense, something that was very simple and him having a stencil to follow turned out so messy and none of the lines are straight. I wouldn't recommend coming here if you're not trying to pay almost 100$ for a 1 inch tattoo. read more

l'm genuinely really disappointed, I came here to get my first piercing and the guy who did it was so kind and even gave me his contact info to reach out in case I had any problems. I decided I'd give this shop my trust again and went and got my first tattoo and on top of this, I brought two friends with me and oversold this shop up only for us to be completely disgruntled. We went in and about 4 people were waiting, got the paperwork done, the guy designed our little margarita glass design and we chose the smallest one. I thought to ease my nervousness, "he cannot possibly mess up a stencil, right?" Wrong. It's uneven and one side was done thicker than the other side. And to make things worse they overcharged me and I feel completely taken advantage of. They knew it was my first tattoo and they charged me and my friends $80. My brother who is all inked up told me I shouldn't have paid more than $30 for this, if not less. If you're looking to get simple work done, I'd say go somewhere else. I had Hector for my 2nd tattoo. He did an amazing job and was very kind and patient! He made the whole experience quick and easy!

Worst experience ever. Sat for over an hour while they "drew up" my mini tattoo. Made corrections as requested once they finally showed it to me (after already printing it). Then say another 20 min waiting on an artist although nobody was in there except myself and friend who was waiting as well. Then random guy comes out they ask if he can do it, he says yes. Sit down and he puts it on crooked. Ask him to correct it. He does. Then he proceeds. Instantly after two passes I can tell he's either nervous or under the influence. So I try to make small talk to lighten the tension. Ask how long he's been tattooing, at which point he's about done with the wording, and he says "ugh..." followed by a long pause. Then says "about a year including my at home work." Fury instantly that this wasn't disclosed before hand. But I do not let him know just tell myself to give him a chance. Nope. He cleaned it after finishing and there's tons of gaps, no even lines. The simplest tattoo looks like a 7 year old drew it despite him having a stencil to follow. He tries to "connect the lines" but I finally had to ask him to please stop because he was just making it 100x worse and irreparable. I'll have to go somewhere else and pay AGAIN, because he still charged me, to have it fixed if it's even possible. Not happy at all. read more

I got a nose piercing from Tokeoh and he was so nice! He knew exactly what he was doing and let me know when I would feel pressure and what I should expect when getting it. It was very fast and a very good price -only $20! I called beforehand to see if they took walk ins and they did and I got there and was helped right away, only there for about 15min max filling out paperwork, actual piercing and payment! I cannot recommend this place to anyone. It was late at night and my friends and I wanted to go get a simple conch piercing. There were only 3 of us. We called ahead to see if they would take us, to which they responded "Hurry the f*** up." I was a little put off by this but it was the only place we could find that was open. The second we walk in, all of the employees drop to the ground to "play dead" (I suppose in the hopes that we would leave?) They were all openly drinking at the front desk, and they clearly were not sober. We told them what we wanted and they were willing to do it but it was very unprofessional and we had extremely bad vibes from the second we walked in. They took our IDs to photo copy, and when they gave us the form to sign we had decided that it probably wasn't the best option for us, especially if they were gonna take a needle to our bodies. So we told them that we were having second thoughts, and the manager was very rude and said "Well you need to tell me now or she will charge you regardless of if you get the piercing or not." I don't think that he even has the right to do that but I was not about to pay for this awful experience. We told him we weren't going to get it done and that he should go stop her from getting it all set up. When he went to the back my friend took the paper with the copy of her ID on it, as she didn't want them to have her personal information, and walked outside to the car. The manager CHASED HER outside to stop her from taking the form... he said we "weren't allowed to take it with us.".... but why? There is no reason they would need that form because we did NOT get pierced. She asked what they were going to do with our information and he completely ignored us. This was the worst tattoo shop I have ever been inside. It looked dirty and the staff was the worst. I hope that nobody sees the good reviews on this shop and takes them as fact. read more
