We walked in and were greeted promptly by a no nonsense hostess/server and were able to choose our own seats. We were also the only ones in there as it was down pouring outside but the place quickly filled up. We had the shrimp appetizers - the deep fried ones were surprisingly light and not greasy- the fried were served as 4 small rolls with multiple sauces including a very smooth peanut sauce. They came it at $7.50 while the shrimp salad rolls were quite big and had 3 large, full shrimp in them. We were already getting full from them. $6.95 for 4. The charbroiled rice plates were recommended to us in particular the #28 which was a combo of shrimp, chicken and beef and the portion was quite large served with tomato, cucumber and additional sauces. The most flavorful was the beef and all the proteins were tender. Way too much for one sitting so there were plenty of leftovers. The plates begin at $9.95 with the # 28 topping off at $12.95. There is no liquor license yet so no booze. Beverages include pop, fresh coconut and pulp, Perrier and Vietnamese coffee. They do take-out or dine in and have the following other items on the menu: Rolls -beef, pork, shredded pork or chicken rolls, deep fried quail. $7.95 and under. Submarines- satay beef or satay chicken and a house special. $7.95 Noodle Soup Pho- assorted beef, including tripe and beef ball as well as chicken. $9.50 and under. Steamed Rice Plates- charbroiled pork or shredded pork with 2 eggs and deep fried quail. $12.95 and under. Vermicelli Bowls- deep fried spring roll, chicken, beef, chicken or prawn with different combos. $12.95 and under. The service was quick and efficient without feeling rushed.

They have some options that aren't traditionally Vietnamese, but don't hate them for diversifying and trying to appeal to a larger audience. They had some dim sum offerings and a few dishes one might say is Chinese. Most memorable was their honey garlic crispy chicken wings - they were hot and crispy as promised, and low key would give Korean fried chicken a run for their money. I don't recall much about their pho, but as someone who has pho at least once a week, it takes a lot for pho to be memorable so take it as a solid contender at this place! Definitely worth stopping at when you're in Drumheller; I'm definitely coming back!

The server came back and said she would have them remade 2) ordered the Sui Mai First few bites were okay, no roe and the mushroom inside was odd. The third bite I took revealed that it was cold and raw in the middle. The server and the "chef" came out this time, she asked what the issue was and I relayed that it was raw. The chef, grabbed the plate and tried to look at it the the light to check the validity of my claim which was insulting. The texture visibly was raw. Crossing my fingers I don't die tonight.
