It was a day like any other, at least it started that way. Got up, brushed teeth, sat on the throne, ate breakfast, and went to the gym to get some shots up on the basketball court. Something felt off. Oh yeah, my jumpers. While that was nothing out of the norm, I was beginning to feel a sharp pain on my right foot. Came across Dr. J on IG a little less than a year ago and after having shoulder pain for weeks, went to see him! He did graston Work and dug that evil elbow of his right in and kept me together for my Powerlifting meet. Recently went back in due to sciatic pain and I feel SO much better. The sessions hurt for good reason. He is very understanding of different levels of pain tolerance. He has seen multiple powerlifters and it's nice going to see someone who understands what we put our bodies through. Very affordable if you get a package (let's be real, one session ain't gonna fix everything) and I will definitely be purchasing more sessions after using up all of my package almost a YEAR later. In January I injured my lower back and within a few weeks the pain from that injury subsided, but then I began feeling sciatic nerve pain. I dealt with it thinking it would go away, but it never did. I went to a physical therapy specialist in the area, but it really didn't help. A few weeks later I was referred to Dr. J. I am one of those that has always been skeptical about going to a chiropractor because I have heard some horror stories, but the pain just kept getting worse and it was affecting my every day life so I decided to give Spinal Performance a try. Dr. J and his staff are awesome! His assistant Perla and the front office staff all do a great job. He was upfront with me from the beginning and told me that there is no magic cure for sciatic nerve pain. He thoroughly examined me and told me that it would take about 20 sessions for the therapy to work. I am a little more than half way through my sessions and now I only go once per week. At the beginning I was going 2-3 times per week. I am happy to report that I feel much better now. I can stand and walk for long periods of time without feeling any pain or numbness. I've never been to a chiropractor before because I've always heard bad things, but I had sprained my back in a car accident and needed therapy. Came to visit Dr J and team a few months ago with excruciating back pain, I have always been hesitant about chiropractic and therapy work for some reason but after being told I would need to take muscle relievers and pain killers (which I didn't want to do) from a few Drs I decided to give it a shot. Dr J was amazing from day 1 with his diagnosis which was right on point with previous diagnosis from various other Drs. Dr J has his amazing team work on the day to day therapy (Nas, Perla, they're dope!), it hurts so good, honestly after my first session I had already felt relief, so I continued on that for a few sessions and honestly couldn't feel better or even really complain about any back issues, so now doing work on other nagging injuries which have already began to feel better BUT the key to keeping the progress is being consistent with therapy and also doing your own stretches and lacrosse ball work. The team here treats you like friends/family, always checking how you're doing or check up on what you did on the weekend which is always cool of them to do. I am really extremely grateful that I decided to visit them, my next choice would have been getting on prescription medication like I was being told but luckily Dr J, Nas, Perla and Ashley were there to help!
