Fast forward to this morning.. I got on Yelp and found Dirty Duds Wash house . It was almost a 20 minute drive but the reviews looked promising.. Upon arriving a lady's dog locked her out of her truck and she was on the roof trying to get in . I suggested she take off her shoe and use her feet through the sunroof .. ( yes this really happened ) Walking into the laundromat our clothes fell off the basket and a super sweet older African American woman helped us pick them up . See for yourself with the pictures.. the place is super clean . And they have plants which are very well taken care of . Even the bathroom was squeaky clean . The man that was there swept and assisted those in need and he was very friendly I would absolutely recommend using Dirty Duds Wash House .

It's all coin operated, which is a bummer, the machines in our last town had ones you could do coin or use your debt/credit card in which REALLY simplified having to do a household of 7's laundry all in one day. There are coin exchangers (well, there were two, but one is out of order... which seems to be the theme of this laundromat!) The exchange did give accurate change for a $20 (will take all the way down to $1 bills, excluding $2 bills). Washers were efficient, though there are only 4 of the biggest washers available and they were in hot demand both times we were there. $6.75 as of this post for the larges washers and $5.25 for the next washer down... that's a LOT of quarters!!! The dryers... well, they left a LOT to be desired... Nearly, if not exactly, half of them were out of order!!! You can run the largest ones for 4 minutes per quarter, and they took $2-$2.50 per large load to dry (jeans took a bit more). but with all the machines being out of commission it made jockeying for a dryer a bit of a challenge. This location gets plenty of use, it was hopping both times we went there. I anticipate needing to go for a few more weeks yet too until our laundry room is put back together... if anything changes I will update... but for now, it does the job, but it's not a great experience. Next time I'm gonna do a little research and see if there is another place that might be a little easier to use.

Kelly Avenue Laundry and Second Avenue Laundry, sharing the same owner, are festering hellholes…read more The owner is evidently too tight with her mountains of quarters to allot some of them for new machinery, as a row of FIVE - ALL FIVE, machines on the rear side of the first row have been out of order for well over a year. Ownership needs to remove them or replace them! The chairs at both locations are horrifically uncomfortable, including the ones with hazardous cracked plastic which could easily crack a customer's buttock or leg and cause a nasty infection. Wo knows...it has probably already happened - more than once.

The other laundromats that I visited before this one were extremely small, dirty, and not very many big washing machines unlike this place. Staff is super nice, lots and lots of different size washers especially the 60lbs washer they have two rows dedicated to these large washers. For the price for a 60 pound wash is $7.25. This place is super affordable, clean and have a great little play area for your kids and tons of washers available. Definitely recommend this place for anyone needing to do laundry.

I decided that I finally needed to wash my clothes and I have passed this facility a couple of…read moretimes and I was like I am going to go there and check it out so this morning was that day. So I arrive about 9:45am am I walk around to get the lay of the land and i see washers starting at $2.50 to $10. I am like this is cool and I start to separate my clothes and I am lucky enough to get the smaller washers on the end with are the cheaper washers and I have about 6 loads usually I wash at my mother's house but today I really don't want to do one load at a time I just want to get it over with. My neice and great neice are coming in from out of time and I want to be done and just enjoy my time with my family. So I put my sprinkles in them load my clothes in the washer and then put in my gain pods then close the washers which are the front loaders. Then I calculate how much money I need then I go to the changer and put a $20 in the machine and get exactly $15 worth of quarters and then I return to my machines and I am adding my quarters and I'm like this total is not right so I ask the attendant why is the total not going down she said because you picked hot water I was floored. Never have I ever heard anything like this in my life. There is only one color of clothing that you was on cold so they are getting over on everybody because you are going to at least pick warm. I will never be back to this facility and I will tell everyone I know about these shenanigans.

The washer we used stop register the quarters we put in due to being full let management know she came over with a small knife start poking a small slot for quarters few minutes pass she than came back with a empty bucket start emptying the quarters which it did fix the issue, but now she thinks we short the machine we explained what had happened again but she brushed it off and kept walking away. Like I said this could've been avoided if she was checking on the machine regularly and not wait until something happens and try to blame the customers for it.
