This is a great new laundromat in Camden, NJ! Very clean and all the equipment is new, and the…read moreoverall aesthetic of the interior is new and futuristic looking. And even has tv's around the wall to help pass the time. There are plenty of washers and dryers to go around, in the times that I have been here there are always some available. Additionally there are plenty of laundry carts and tables to use as needed. ALSO, they have a small mart with laundry bags, soap, etc. to buy if needed. They also have vending machines with snacks and soap. The vending machines do not operate on cash or coin but on the laundromat card (see below). A few things to know - This laundromat operates on a card system, meaning they do not accept coins. How it works is that you get a card (free of charge) and load the card with either cash or debit/credit card. Then you reload the card as needed. - You pay for wash but drying is free. Wash sizes vary from "junior" to "giant" wash, with sizes in between. Junior wash starts out at $3.95 and Giant wash is $10.95 (with the giant wash you can fit a lot more). -Lastly, there are two stores in the same plaza, Haddon Meat & Supermarket, and a All Star Cafe and Grill (the cafe and laundromat have a direct entrance to each other).

Why the EFF is this place rated so high?! Not just on Yelp, where their only review is a 5-star,…read morebut every where else, where this dump got glowing reviews?! Apparently, the Maple Shade/Mt. Laurel/Moorestown area is a complete dead zone for "quality" laundromats. There are only a smattering of beat to shit, run down, mom and pop joints. Having gone to TWO others, that were somehow worse than this one, I decided to trust the reviews and head here. *Whomp whomp* Walking in, I notice all the usual malcontents that typically frequent a laundromat. There is a woman immediately complaining about the soda machine, and very aggressively telling another patron that dryer 9 is open. There is a guy with a Vietnam vet hat and BDU jacket quietly sitting off to the side; his coffee on the counter where the cash register is. The counter is empty. I notice that everything is coin operated, but there are no change machines. A man notices me confusingly looking around and asks if I need change. He takes me to the counter, and I hand him a $20, and he hands me back a pre sorted laundry detergent cap filled with quarters. Not trusting THAT shit, I go to the sorting table to verify that there was indeed $20 in quarters. (There were...the pre sorting system must be good. ‍) So, I go to wash and notice that washing machines are almost SIX. DOLLARS. to wash. Now, granted, it's been a LONG time since I was in a laundromat, but SIX DOLLARS FOR A MID SIZED MACHINE?! That seems super excessive. The small machines are Maytag commercial units, straight from the early 80s, and although they SAY $2.25 ON THEM, they are most certainly $2.75 to use. The dryers are .25 for 5 minutes, which, since washing is $5.75, they SHOULD be free. I got my clothes washed, (over $17 for 3 loads), but I will absolutely not be back here.

The word "Cafe" in the name is slightly misleading. Unless you want to eat laundry cakes (is there…read moresuch a thing?), vending machine coffee or vending machine snacks it is not exactly a cafe. Let's instead focus on laundry. I'm a bachelor. I recently moved to an apartment with no washer or dryer. Although I am adept at doing my own laundry I seldom want to take the time and sit there babysitting my unmentionables while they process though the laundry cycle. If I were inclined to do so I can see that this is a great place to do it. There are an ample number of machines of varying sizes. Depending on just how much laundry you have you can either use small machines and separate your darks from your lights or you can be like me and just toss it all into one industrial sized vat (I pretty much only have darks). Once you're through with the washers there are an equally ample quantity of dryers. The way it works is, for each washer you pay for you automatically get a certain number of free minutes in the dryers. The larger the washer to longer you get with the dryers. The room is cheerful, smells good and is well lit. The signage is clear so even a laundromat novice such as myself can figure stuff out reasonably easily. That said, I rarely use any of the above. I prefer the wash and fold service. I walk in with a bag of dirty laundry and meet an always cheerful laundry specialist at the front desk. I throw my bag onto a scale and they charge $.99/pound. A few hours later, I return to collect a bag of clean and folded laundry. I've been using them pretty much since they opened and consistently I have been thrilled to take my bag home and find everything nicely folded and smelling fresh. I'm not sure it qualifies as a complaint but if I were to get nitpicky I might observe that although they always match my socks they do not pair them.
