Very clean, friendly and helpful staff. I do laundry here and have dropped off laundry. Service is excellent. If you drop off you leave with thoroughly dried, folded clean clothes. I look forward to being a regular here. read more

I found this little gem when my family member was hospitalized @ UPENN for a month. Street parking only but CVS was right across the street. So I parked there and went shopping as my clothes are in the washer. Quick, easy, inexpensive laundry w/good working machines! read more

U-do We-do Laundromat - Inside - Laundromat Near Me - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

Quarter wash and dry. Good spot to do a quick load, no parking besides street parking. The owner/attendant was very nice.

Reasonable price and nice place. A little hot in summer but overall had a good experience

My washing machine broke and I couldn't get a new one delivered for about a week. With a family of 4, our laundry was piling up so I decided to take my clothes to the laundromat. I wanted someplace that would wash, dry and fold. The service that I had used in the past was no longer available. So after a quick Google search - this place had the best reviews & the reviews did NOT lie! I called on a Sunday afternoon & they said I could bring my clothes and get them returned same day! I had 3 large bags of clothes, probably about 25-30 lbs. They washed, dryed and folded them within a few hours. I would definitely use them again in a pinch. Note - you have to pay cash! read more

great place reasonable price, my stuff was well taken care of. The staff was very friendly.

on a 3 week east coast trip and needed laundry done without wanting to waste time sitting at a laundromat. Dropped off, visited 2 colleges and picked up after our UPenn tour- reliable and totally worth it. read more

I think that this place has stopped me from doing laundry .. possibly.. FOREVER. I moved into an apartment that didn't have laundry. I've passed this place a million times going to CVS but never had use for it. I think the name is silly . " U-Do-We-Do" so as the name suggests you can either wait and do your laundry there, or drop it off and pick it up later ( like.. all laundromats?) For me, I always drop it off. The first time, I didn't have time to do my laundry, so I dropped off 2 weeks.. maybe 3 weeks of laundry. When I came back the next day, all my clothes were nicely folded, smelled great.. and cost $10. For me, that is totally worth it. You're saying.. I can spend roughtly $10-20 (it's based on weight so if you have towels/sheets it will cost more) every 3 weeks or so.. never have to fold my clothes.. just.. put them away in my drawer? I'm sold. Laundry usually takes me 2-3 hours waiting for dryer/washing/folding. This is about time-money-value for me folks. + Laziness. + never folding clothes again Also , the ladies that run the place are friendly, always smiling. I'm happy to be a regular non-clothes washer at this establishment read more

I recently moved from NYC and would occasionally use a drop off service in Queens. A bag of my clothes (one filled Ikea bag) could easily go for $23-$25. I asked for an estimate at U-do We-do and the woman said it would be $12! Each wash, dry and fold load is $6. I appreciate how this business also washes and folds your clothes indiscriminately, rather than charging extra for washing blankets and towels. I chose to wash and dry my clothes yesterday ($1.75/Maytag washer load, 25 cents/6 minutes in the dryer). $5 and 1.5 hours later my clothes were clean and I was all set! I imagine you could pass the time by visiting Koch's Deli next door (an experience in itself) or walking to Green Line cafe a bit further down. Will definitely continue coming here over my building's basement laundry! read more

Not bad at all. They have so many washing machines and drying. The price is very reasonable. They have vending machine for quarters. Over all, a good place to do laundry. read more

Laundry is something everyone hates, but this place makes it better :) The machines work quickly and are plentiful. I have never had a problem finding an available washer or dryer. I can finish a full load in one hour. There are large tables for folding. There is a machine for giving you quarters and the folks who run the place are very nice if a machine doesn't start after you put in your quarters. There are also extra big washing machines for your giant comforters or washing double loads. I normally pay $3-$3.50 to do a full wash and dry. I also really like the wash-fold service. I can drop off a big blue IKEA bag in the morning before work and pick it up around 8PM and it will be all folded and clean like magic! For the amount of clothes in the bag and the time saved, it's nice when I'm busy. It normally costs me $10-$15 including bath towels. read more

Fantastic service, was completely satisfied with the way my laundry came out. Really great, local, laundromat.

I'll fess up - sometimes I pay other people to do my laundry. I've been using U-do We-do for a little over a year and my experiences have almost always been positive. They charge around $4 to $5 a load, which, given my hectic schedule and by absolute abhorrence (is that a strong enough word?) for doing laundry, is completely worth it. When you go they'll take your laundry bag and give you a little pink slip with a number on. When you go to pick up your clothes (which are always ready within 24 hours), they're clean, nice-smelling, and immaculately folded. They don't put your bras in the dryer, and they don't mix your whites and reds. I'm docking a star for three reasons. 1) Once I left a lipstick in my pocket and they didn't notice, which resulted in a stain on a white shirt. That said, that has only happened once in many visits, and they pointed it out to me right away (rather than hoping I just didn't notice) and apologized. 2) They only take cash. Fair, but a little bit of a hassle. 3) Once I came home with 8-year-old-boy-sized superman underwear. Now, I love superman underwear as much as the next girl, but I can't help but feel a little sorry for the kid who is now down one pair of superhero undies. read more

I have always liked doing my laundry. It's one of those things that makes me feel productive even when I'm watching TV or surfing the web because SOMETHING IS GETTING CLEAN. While I wait. It's magical, really. Well, U Do We Do just took it to the next level. Because now, I can feel productive because someone ELSE is doing my laundry. I have outsourced my laundry to a kind and lovely woman named Lynn who does phenomenal work (how do they fold everything so flat?! Even fitted sheets?!) We bring in up to 2 giant baskets at a time and it's never more than $20. Bring cash when you come pick it up - and remember your pink ticket! But fear not if you're only got your debit card; there's an ATM across the street at CVS. Also, a damn convenient parking lot if, like us, you want to drive your laundry someplace for someone else to wash, dry and fold it...instead of walking it 4 blocks. Anyhow, some may think I have reached a whole new level of lazy. I think we've found West Philly gold, and the feeling that I've finally made it in life. Because I have someone who does my laundry. And I love it. (I will also mention there's the whole "U Do" portion, which means you can do your laundry there too. I don't know how you fold your laundry, but I bet it's not as well as Lynn does ;) read more

This is my local laundromat and I love this place. First off, I do my own laundry. I've never had the necessity to have anyone else do my laundry nor been too busy to have to drop it off. If the need ever arose, I'm sure I'd do it, but again - there are seven days in a week and that's enough time to do at least one load. This place is typically clean. There are more than enough washers and dryers humming at any given hour to keep this place alive, even at 11:00 pm. The hours are very early, like 7:00 am through midnight. I have gone late at night around 10 pm and finished my laundry in time before the store closed. There is a change machine near the middle of the laundromat, should you only have $1s, $5s, or $10s burning a hole in your wallet. If you have a $20 bill, then the staff will exchange that for 2 rolls of quarters at $10 each. Pretty sweet. The washers and dryers are all pretty clean and standard sized, although I do prefer the units in the back - they are larger (washers and dryers). The largest washers are currently $3.75 per cycle and the larger dryers are the standard $0.25 for 6 minutes of dryer time. The staff are all nice, and also very quiet. I like chatting with the staff who are actually approachable if you talk to them, otherwise they may seem focused on their work and may not say a word. This is a pleasant laundromat and I'll continue patronizing it. read more

This place has become my go-to for when I can't be bothered with my own laundry. A couple of times I used a pick-up-at-your-house service cause I was too lazy to walk the 5 1/2 blocks it takes to get to this joint. Hell, I've even been known to call an Uber to help me with the drop-off... (give me a break, it was drizzling out). But I've come to know that for the quality and price of service, it's worth every step traveled. The family running the place does an awesome job, and are seemingly very humble. I've never seen someone more grateful for a $2 tip! That's a drop in the bucket considering they're the cheapest "we-do" service I've come across - something like 70 cents/pound. They provide super quick same-day service-with-a-smile. Unlike other places, they fold my laundry so similarly to how I'd do it myself. No tiny little squares where you can't even tell what shirt you're picking out!! (I'm talking to you We-Wash-It). For "u-do," they've got huge industrial front load washers (35 pounds?) that would probably make a good hiding spot, plus some smaller child's play ones. On top of that, there's a whole slew of top-load washers (do people really like those things?). The dryers are also giant themselves, and if I remember correctly they're 25 cents for 6 minutes. I recommend splitting your stuff up anyhow so you don't sit around waiting so long... Overall, 4 stars earned. -1 star because my last full service load came w/ a pair of underwear and a shirt that don't belong to me. If they had fit, I'd let them keep the star! Well from now on, I will make sure to count my own clothes before I drop them off... read more

There's not much about a laundromat that CAN be reviewed, but this place has managed to impress me. It's very clean, and the people who work here are very friendly and helpful. The guy was busy doing some "we-do" laundry when he saw me struggling to find an open washer. He asked me how many I needed and claimed one for me while I fumbled with my things. In fact, he even went as far as to say "she's using that" to someone when they swooped in to try and steal my washer. It's extremely crowded on Sundays, as to be expected, but it's not terrible. I wouldn't recommend going on a 90 degree day because they don't have A/C, only ceiling fans. read more

Amazingly cheap. It's difficult for me to do any laundry anymore knowing that u-do we-do exists. I have three weeks of laundry (two tall baskets) to drop off and it never exceeds $20. Only issue is that they don't line dry delicates or clothes that can't be dried. As such I can only drop off some, and not all of my laundry which is frustrating. read more

This is the place to go! I am on an extended stay and after paying $100.00 (ok...after the company paid $100.00) to do my last batch of laundry, we decided to go to a laundromat. Our coworker happened upon the location near 15th/Chestnut and paid $23.00 for parking, in addition to doing her laundry. I decided to check out yelp.com to see if there was another place to do laundry that wasn't in the heart of the city. That is when I located this review and thanks to the reviews, we checked it out. I dropped off my suitcase bulging full of nearly 2 weeks of laundry, and they told me to come back in five hours to pick it up. It cost $15.00. That was awesome. I didn't have to hang around, I got to go to lunch, do a little shopping, play a game of cribbage and when I got there, it was done and I was amazed that they could fold my clothes so well. I had tons of room in my suitcase. I joked that I was going to take my clothes over there to help me pack when I have to go back home. I will definitely be using these guys on my next visit. Oh yeah...no charge for parking here and only a 15 minutes drive from Old City. Bonus. read more

Well, just moving to University City, I was lugging around a trunk full of dirty clothes, in search of a "" CLEAN "" enough laundry mat to appease my OCD!! Well, finally I looked on Yelp,to check all the reviews of what was around. This by far had very good reviews and I wouldn't have to arrest my OCD issues, because I only had to drop off the laundry not stick around!! Well, let me tell you I will NOT be going to any other laundry while I'm a resident here!!! The price is beyond affordable at .80 cents per pound!!!! At 1:30 on a Saturday afternoon I dropped off around 95 lbs of clothing!! Yes 95 lbs along with my personal preference of detergent, bleach, fabric softener & dryer sheets (( OCD )) and returned at 8:30p and it only cost me $75!!!!!!!!!!!!! I gave a $5 tip that they tried to return to me thinking I over paid!! A suburban girl like myself, who was used to having a washer and dryer at home, this was even better !! When living in the city you have pick your convinces wisely and this well worth it all!! They warm and friendly people that manage the small space that hey use most efficiently!!!!! I only gave 5 stars because that's as high as they go!!!!!!!!! But they deserve a 10! Hugs & Hot Chocolate Ms.Shadon read more

U-do We-do Laundromat - Laundromat Near Me - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

I HATE doing my laundry. Read the reviews for this site and decided to give it a go. I dropped off two huge bags of laundry yesterday afternoon, picked up today! You don't have to provide detergent and fabric softener, just bring your clothes. My clothes were cleaned, fluffy, and folded nicely! All I had to do was put them away. $16 well spent. I will be a regular! read more

Wow!!!! Bright lights and owners were on top of their machines making sure they are in tip top shape!!! Each load is $1.75 and a cycle is fast (only 27-min per load.) Theres a loading parking space in front of laundromat OR you can just park at CVS across the street and just do laundry and shop in the pharmacy. It is a decent area! I will definitely drive here from Center City for washing/cleaning on a weekly basis! read more

Excellent service, we had two bags of clothes to drop off and got clean and folded clothes in 3 hours.

I've been coming here regularly for about two months and I've never had anything but a great experience. I've always done my laundry myself, but they do quite a brisk laundry service. I've seen many customers drop off and pick up laundry and they all looked happy. I go here in the morning on weekdays, so for me, its never been busy. If quarters get eaten or there's any kind of issue, the employees/owners are very friendly and helpful. There's a decent amount of space for folding and it's relatively clean. But there are only 3 seats available if you're waiting. Prices: $1.75 for the washers ($1.75 "super cycle"), 25 cents per 6 minutes of drying. read more

I could not ask for a better laundromat. The hours are absurd, 7 AM to midnight every single day. They'll wash and fold your laundry at a reasonable price - and you can pick it up within an hour or two usually. Otherwise, they have a ton of machines (different sizes too, if you need), carts, an area to fold, and a SODA MACHINE. read more

Giving this place 5 stars because it's super convenient. Hours of operation makes life easy(7am-midnight). The tailor here is AMAZING! I brought in a pair of pants that was several sizes too big and she took them in beautifully and they fit PERFECTLY now. I was really impressed. She was extremely friendly and helpful and explained everything that she was going to do. And she got them done the same day I brought them in! Even though she had to take in both sides and basically redo the waist and hip line, she only charged me $25. And they had a tiny rip that she stitched up for free (even though the rip was my fault). I usually don't get things tailored but I will definitely be back!! Also, I always used to do my laundry here and it's a great spot--there are always washing machines available and the dryers are huge and super fast. 10/10!!! read more

This place is clean and the staff helpful and friendly. Although I have never left my clothes for them to wash the prices are reasonable.

I don't do it often, but occasionally if work and/or life gets crazy I'll drop my laundry off and have it "done." What Jessica N. said below is true... it only costs a dollar more to have them do it (and even less if I compare it to the laundry machines in my building, but that's my problem). It will be folded really nicely, and it can even be ready on the same day! You can bring your own laundry detergent, or let them use theirs. My only suggestion is that you and the person you are handing your laundry off to come to an agreement beforehand about how many loads are in fact in the bag. When I have not done this, I have sometimes been surprised to find that what I thought was one load suddenly became two and I had to pay more. read more

This is my local neighborhood laundromat. One of my great luxuries in life, made necessary by an insane work schedule, is that I drop my laundry off at the laundromat for them to do it. A friend of mine once calculated that it cost less than a dollar more a load to have them do it for me. If you start thinking about how many hours you'd be spending in the laundromat, the cost starts to make a heck of a lot of sense. Besides, they fold things neatly. I've had a few things get accidentally bleached in the four years I've been bringing my laundry there, but since I've started separating my whites out, the incidence has greatly decreased (maybe once a year). This place is next to the Second Green Line cafe, so if you want to do your laundry there, you'll have a great place to grab a cup of coffee while you wait. read more

This was our go to laundromat for almost an year, from mid 2012-13. We have used both the "U do" and "We do" parts! We tried their washing and folding service, we were happy with the outcome: clean and neatly folded laundry, with special care for delicates. Even my tiny socks (yes I have small feet) were folded in a cute fashion, I couldn't reproduce that fold myself. However it can get expensive to use "we do" all the time, so we did our own laundry most times. The bigger washers are convenient to use when you are doing laundry less frequently especially in winter. Be careful while selecting the settings for washers/dryers, they are pretty powerful. I accidentally damaged some of my delicates by using what I thought would be safe/mild setting. read more

I LOVE U DO WE DO. Every time I decide it's time to clean my room, I gather up all of my clothes off the floor, put 'em in a bag and take them to U Do We Do. They wash, dry and fold them by the next day. Though I occasionally find satisfaction by doing this process myself, it is so nice to have a nearly clothes free apartment for a day while I clean. This service is certainly more expensive than doing it your self, but only by .75 or $1 more per load. read more

I love this place because they have enabled me to fully retire from EVER DOING MY OWN LAUNDRY AGAIN FOR THE REST OF MY LIFE. Truly a gem.

I am a loyal customer. I do the "We-do" part of the U-do We-do. As in, I drop off my clothes. Wash & fold. Never have they misplaced even a single sock, and my clothing never comes back dyed a different color or permanently damaged. They are kind and gracious staff who are loyal to customers who are loyal to them. read more
