The interior is light and spacious, with nice comfy seats and tables along the windows where you can watch the world go by over a coffee, as well as more conventional seating and tables for more serious eating tasks. The menu is slightly better than the usual standard cafe fare, and reasonably priced too. I only had time for a quick lunch, and the soup and sandwich deal arrived quickly and was just the job. I didn't try the coffee on this occasion, but I certainly intend to return to rectify that omission soon. Free Wi-Fi too!

The shop is really quite big with a good amount of tables and a few comfy couches. The cakes ... well they look AMAZING!! All very clearly labelled with what ingrediants are in them however sadly not a cake available for my gluten free tum. They dont have a big food menu. Soup, paninis and jacket potatoes but thats not 2hat they are about. Here its all about the cake!! I was able to have the pistachio macaroons though which were so lovely. This shop boasts a fine selection of tasty, sweet treats. They don't appear to serve anything savoury, so this would be perfect for anyone like me with a sweeter than sweet tooth. When I sauntered up to the counter, I was greeted by a lovely server behind the counter who was happy to engage in a wee bit of banter. Unfortunately, they didn't have any non-dairy alternatives to milk, so I couldn't have a hot chocolate, but as they had a nice selection of tea I wasn't too bothered. Confronted with the choice of so many beautifully presented home made desserts, I was stumped. After ogling the plethora of dainty delectables behind the glass for some time, I finally ordered me a nice Caramel Apple Pie and a strawberry / mango tea and settled to chill out with my book for a wee while. Total price? The handy dandy price of £3! Fantastic! According to the shop window, this lovely new establishment also provides cakes to order, including wedding cakes. Although it is a little bit more spacious than the parent 'bakehouse' in Dennistoun, this place somehow fails to achieve the same ambience for me. Maybe it's the higher windows, maybe it's because the space is finished to a higher standard, or maybe it's just the Feng-Shui... I don't know. I still prefer going to Dennistoun if I can (it's also easier to park the car over there!). But it's still Tapa, it still has the fantastic Tapa bread and goodies, and they still do a great Long Black. If you're anywhere in the vicinity, it's worth stopping off here.

The staff, the atmosphere, the coffee. :)…read more Milk is pretty local to me, I often walk past it doing our weekly shop, located on Victoria road between Lidl and Queen's Park station which is the perfect excuse to pop in for a wee coffee on our way home on a Sunday afternoon. I've never stayed for food, although it's definitely on my list! The menu sounds fab to get a nice wee lunch. I have however had numerous coffees and a few slices of cake and they're always lovely. A great flat white, and they're always served in cute little tea cups. I've never had the same one twice. I love the attitude of Milk and the girls who run it, it's a social enterprise to supporting Asylum seeking woman. What's better than great coffee for a great cause! They also run events with different charities and organisations, and get really involved in helping their local community. I'm really looking forward to starting a sewing club at Milk next month with The Real Junk Food Project and Learn to Sew Glasgow, a great example of their community work. The girls that work there are always incredibly friendly and welcoming, it's the sort of place you could loose an afternoon sitting by the window watching the world go by... :)

Perhaps the steamed bao buns served in bamboo steamers are a nod to their street food roots. I don't know what coffee beans they are grinding here but their coffee ranks among the best I have ever tasted. Hats off to the Barista. Open 9 til 4 Tuesday to Sunday I suggest beating as path to their door. The earlier in the day the better. It's quite dinky on the inside but ideal if you're taking away or just stopping by for a brew. Which I did, and enjoyed it. It's not open very late during the week but it's great if you're looking for a spot of simple breakfast before your busy day ahead, or a pit stop for a snack. 30p for a brew - as Mrs Doyle from Father Tea would say, "Go on, go on, go on..."

What a lovely bar, and it's busy! We snagged a long high table by the front door but those tables to the rear look cosy. I liked the large windows keeping it bright and open. I will give it this, the tennents was beautiful. was my first outting since my surgery and my first time here, will not be returning unfortunately. Food wasnt any better than the hospital food. multiple dogs walking around. Im a sparetime mystic and i have been learning how to read auras lately, must say this place had a very poor reading.
