[[HIGHLIGHT]]Nice decor inside[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Friendly staff that can answer any questions or give you suggestions depending what you like to eat. Food is good with a good price range

Larva

Upon delivery of my meal we started eating and felt something different that was not my beef and broccoli, it was a larva when we called they refunded one dish instead of a full receipt. I do not recommend a place that cares very little about human consumption.

Jalapeño chicken and fried rice, minus extra jalapeños on top-Yummy!

Always yummy for dine in or delivery. Love the lunch specials best, as they include egg roll or soup and wonton is yummy!

Pork lo mein

Had the pork lo mein and was pleasantly surprised upon receiving it. All the vegetables were cut julian perfectly to match the noodle size. That made a big difference in the overall experience of eating lo mein. Pork was tender, juicy, and also cut into thin strips. I can honestly say that this is one of the best bowls of lo mein I have had, easily in the top 3.

Lunch Menu - Hunan Chicken with white rice. Egg roll not shown

When in the area, we stop by for lunch. Consistently good! Hunan chicken was excellent. Love the veggies in the dish. Next time, will probably ask for less red peppers to knock down the spice a little. The egg roll was fried perfectly. Everything came out hot and it's always fresh on the dishes. Our server was also attentive and friendly.

We both had the Taiwanese noodles, an order of egg drop soup, crab puffs and the spring rolls.

Everything was delicious and fresh. Definitely worth the try. Taiwanese noodles, egg drop soup, crab puffs and spring rolls.

A bug in egg drop soup.

I found a bug, looks like part of a roach in my egg drop soup. I've been obsessing over this place for a while now, but after today... I will never return. That place needs a health inspection IMMEDIATELY.

Taiwanese Lo Mein

Spicy Chen seems to be the only Chinese delivery near me. I'd say they are alright. You can order online from their website or call directly. They usually give out a standard 45 minute wait time. Food always comes hot. We've tried a few things from the menu: Chicken/Combination Fried Rice - started it tasty but then slowly started having less and less seasoning. I'll add soy sauce and still barely taste anything Chicken & Broccoli - This plate is good, classic sauce. I like to special request asparagus and water chestnuts be added and go light on the sauce. They always hook me up on the special request Egg Drop Soup - Has it's days where it's less fresh but when it's good it's good Egg Rolls - Fire Taiwanese Lo Mein - my man enjoys his plate now that he doesn't order the fried rice as much Singapore Lo Mein - curried up, my man didn't really like this plate Sweet & Sour Chicken - Classic and always good Moo Goo Gai Pan - Not what I expected. The sauce was clear and cloudy, the carrots and veggies where long shredded instead of whole and the chicken was also sliced really skinny but the flavor was good... Overall, it's a didn't spot. Always consistent with the delivery.

Their bean curd has a great texture and the kung pao sauce was really good. Fried rice is $1.25 upcharge but it was good. I wish there were more vegetarian appetizer options but the portion sizes are really generous so I couldn't finish it all anyways. Everyone was friendly and helpful, service was fast even though it was busy. [[HIGHLIGHT]]There's plenty of seating and parking in the shared parking lot with other businesses.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] There were no chopsticks provided but I'm not sure if you can request them. For the price and portion sizes I'd definitely return more often.

Used to be good food. They are now decent. Their portions are no longer "generous" as described by others. Waiters are nice.

I also tried their vegetable egg rolls and they were nice and crispy. The place was a little warm but I like a warmer temps so it was no sweat off my back.

We walked in and were told to sit where we wanted and handed menus. They took our drink orders first and after bringing our drinks, they also brought us small bowls with a consume style chicken soup/broth. This was tasty, I enjoyed it. They took our orders a couple of minutes after as well. We started by getting 3 appetizers, the calamari, chicken satay and the dumplings. My friend ordered the Pad Thai (medium level spicy ness so maybe a 2-3?), and my other friend and I got the Maiasian fried rice box which comes with shrimp fried rice and a fried chicken cutlet on top. You can also choose your level of spice on this dish. My friend went with a 2 and I chose not to get it spicy as spicy food causes me stomach issues. After placing our order, our first appetizer came out in about 5 minutes and it was the calamari. I could see the seasoning on the breading, they looked tasty and some were fried crispier than others but nothing was overcooked. Upon first bite, the flavor was really good but the spice on them kicks in after you've ate it and they are HOT. I can handle a small amount of heat but these felt like a 5. Needless to say I only ate two. The chicken satay was my favorite of the appetizers, the dipping sauce is peanut butter forward which I loved because you get the saltiness right away along with that PB taste and the sweetness and mild spice come after. The cucumber provided with the satay was the cooling agent I needed to sedate the heat from the calamari. It was cool, refreshing and sweet. The dumplings were pork and shrimp and come with a soy dipping sauce. They were tasty as well, not the best I've had, but enjoyable. Seasoned perfectly. My dish, the Maiasian fried rice box was delicious! The shrimp are a nice size, fairly big, and my favorite vegetable in the rice was the broccoli. The chicken cutlet was fried perfectly too. I really enjoyed it and the one my friend got wasn't too spicy at a level 2. I'd say it was still pretty mild. I did get a taste of the Pad Thai and at a level 3 spice I'd say. It was sweet with that spice kicking in after. It was milder than I thought but over all still a good Pad Thai. After we finished eating, they brought us to go boxes since we all didn't really finish our plates. It was a lot of food and they also brought us these home made cookies with a chocolate frosting on them in the shape of a star. Not sure what kind of cookies these were, maybe sugar cookies I'd say, but they were DELICIOUS! If they would sell boxes of these to go I'd buy 2 or 3 of them hahaha. They were the best thing to end our meals with. I forgot to mention that our food came out pretty fast, and the kitchen is in the dining area so you can see, hear and smell the food being prepared. Aside from the sound of the chef cooking, the restaurant has a quiet ambience and I find it quite cozy. Definitely check this place out if you're in the area. It's really a hidden gem.

It doesn't have an awful scent in there like a lot of other Pasadena joints I've been to that was a plus and the young lady at the front greeted me warmly and go straight to the point wanting to know if this was dine in, pick up or to go. She got me in and out and upon my request for the shrimp Pad Se Ew I ask for it to be spicy and they have actual levels to it 1-5. I got the 3 it wasn't exactly spicy enough FOR ME so before I dipped I made sure to hit it with some sriracha which upped it for me. At first bite the texture and flavor of the dish was packed with umami with the oyster sauce, garlic, fragrant at that, lots of chopped broccoli and carrots and the crunch really paired into the dish greater than I thought. The shrimp was cooked perfectly with a bit of a crunch to it and the flat noodles weren't overly chewy/gummy at all. At first I was reluctant to try this place since I don't live in Stankadena and I was here for work and this place it looks like a hole in the wall but in my experience it's a lot of times the hole in the wall joints are freaking awesome. I was surprised and happy I decided to get lunch from there. 10/10 would recommend.

Anyway, they're packed into a small business center. They're easy to miss. Thai Jasmine Cuisine is small inside, so not ideal for large gatherings. The decor is lovely and adorable. They have a huge TV screen, but the volume is too loud. There's an abundant of aquarium fish in this place! The staff are kind and the prices are decent. There's no lunch special, though. Our food arrived fresh, with the right amount of spice. Thai Jasmine Cuisine offers catering. But, the seasoning on some of their dishes are gritty. I wouldn't recommend their curry, most of the customers have complained about the texture being gritty too. That's NOT how curry should be! Their spicy wings...aren't spicy at all. You pay at their counter, not at your table. They don't give you enough napkins unless you ask. Unlike most Asian restaurants, Thai Jasmine Cuisine have other desserts besides the usual mango sticky rice and mochi. They have cheesecakes, Tres leches cake, carrot cake, chocolate cake and coconut ice cream. Spoiler: Their aquarium "lion fish" are fake. What's the point of having those?!
